Stuart Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Sounds daft, Bob, but they scored to early. The pressure was always going to build. Arsenal only have to worry about losing this momentum now.

bob fleming Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Sounds daft, Bob, but they scored to early. The pressure was always going to build. Arsenal only have to worry about losing this momentum now. I tried to get a bet on Arsenal to win at 2 0. Too slow. 2 1 and they're a measly 11/8 on Skybet. Nah... Make that 4/5 on now.
Stuart Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Martinez has changed tack. 10 men behind the ball. It's a long time to hold out. Maybe he's trying to get to half time still in it.
Backroom DE. Posted April 16, 2012 Backroom Posted April 16, 2012 Wigan won't hold out if they keep 10 behind the ball. They didn't do this against United.
Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2012 Backroom Posted April 16, 2012 Wigan are fighting for their lives as we limp away crying All power to them
Mattyblue Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I watch this Wigan side and I'm embaressed at what my club has become. I can see what 'they are trying to do', as for us...
Backroom DE. Posted April 16, 2012 Backroom Posted April 16, 2012 In the past few weeks Wigan have been everything Kean pretends we are.
Kelbo Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Sounds daft, Bob, but they scored to early. The pressure was always going to build. Arsenal only have to worry about losing this momentum now. Yes Stuart, I said that to my lad earlier, they scored too early!
Stuart Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 In the past few weeks Wigan have been everything Kean pretends we are. Great way of putting it DE!
roverandout Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 even though i cant see them holding onto this unless they get a third, they have shown enough to prove that we wont get anything against them
philipl Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 At least the mathematical certainty of relegation is going to come mercifully quickly. For all the bla bla about Arsenal, Wigan had more attempts on goal than the Arse first half. Wigan are doing more than just defending and far more than Rovers can ever dream about doing.
adsfortheblues Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Where the famous blackburn rovers in 95 we won the league, ohhh I still remember the day, shearer took the smile away, right off fergies face! We where all so proud, we still shout it out loud, but now the Venkys have wrecked oh a once great club, Id rather watch burnley in my local pub, one things for sure ohh I'll always be blue, but Steve keans lies make me wana pew
G Somerset Rover Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Great to see Di Santo doing well, knew he'd be a worldie as per Nicko's prediction. Also promising this season to see two 'new Batistuta's' battle it out for PL supremacy in Franco and our very own Formica.
philipl Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 We lost 7-1 at the Emirates. Wigan will be unlucky if they don't win. That is a fair reflection on the gulf between the Wigan manager and our imposter.
davulsukur Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Di Santo has 5 goals and is Wigans leading scorer. They look like they are going to survive. The Yak has what? 16 goals and we are off down. What a difference a proper manager can make.
redroses Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Wigan have made a mockery of our so called organisation, quick out of the blocks and licking our wounds. They've turned up, game plan implemented effectively thus far, confidence, belief and a willingness to work together to achieve an objective. They deserve everything and we deserve relegation.
Stuart Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Martinez has played this game perfectly. You can't really say they've been lucky.
G Somerset Rover Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 So with Wigan out of reach of us now should they hold on (we will NEVER get another 7 points), maybe those who have refused to admit defeat will now do so. For anyone still in denial we'd need to finish above BOTH QPR and Bolton, with QPR being 3 points ahead and Bolton having 2 games in hand (and a point more). It will be interesting to see who joins us out of Bolton and QPR.
Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2012 Backroom Posted April 16, 2012 Every round of fixtures has brought further nails in our coffin After this we will be 6 points away with 4 games left, 2 of them clear losses, 3 behind QPR with worse gd and 1 behind Bolton who have two games in hand Game set and match
nick123 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Or Wigan could have their minds on a beach by the time we play!! Ah to clutch straws......
tomphil Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I wonder if the press will constantly pap on about Martinez remarkable results over the past week like they constantly do about coco's Utd and Anfield results ? Very very much doubt it. Infact Martinez is everything that Keans not as a bloke.
