That crossed my mind - with Wolves on the final day they are as good as safe now.

Who would have thought they would get 6 points from their last two matches ?

In truth before tonights result Wigan looked in the best form of teams at the bottom.

Our goose is a little more cooked than it was - but ultimately we have to continue to pray that 3 teams will be below us come the end of the season - though I wouldn't put any money on it.

I 'll have whatever you've been smoking mate!! You are joking of course about 3 teams finishing below us.the number of fans who have looked to the Wigan game as being our saviour!! We aren't fit to lace their boots in terms of pace, commitment etc etc.

It was the morning of the away game at wigan when i recall the headline in the Lancs telegraph... ''No way we will be relegated '' says Kean. Who in their right mind comes out with that kind of sh1te when you are anchored at the bottom??

The whole club is kidding itself on from owners to manager to directors. We are a national joke who deserve to go down. Its just that we have great fans who don't deserve it but sadly we hardly matter do we??

It makes me want to vomit.Venkys you are fraudsters!!

Lets hope wigan are safe by the time we play them and rovers need either a draw or win to stay up. Cannot see the wigan owner wanting rovers to go down. Better still both teams need a draw.

Wigan were superb.

Hope this sees the end of the "three worse teams than us" argument. There will only be three worse teams than us - if we get enough points ourselves. 28 points so far..........

This is a true low for me now. Every other team around us is raising their game, maybe not always getting the results, but they are giving it a fight. We haven't had a 100% team effort for what seems like an eternity. What angers me the most is that the players that were supposably past it or not good enough would have given much much more effort than the current bunch. Salgado and Nelsen may have struggled in some of our games, but they would have both put their everything into it, they would have run and fought and probably found at extra gear from somewhere. Not only that, but their leadership qualities and experience would have been extremely beneficial. Roberts as poor a finisher as he is, could have been a great option to help out Yak when we needed a goal, the Swansea Goalie may not have had much to do against him, but the Swansea defenders wouldn't have had such an easy ride, they may have even broken a sweat. Samba, would have kept us up, with both his goals and match winning tackles that went a long way to saving us last season. Then there is the players that for some reason can't even get a game, Simon and Givet(sounds like a decent 80's pop duo!). I'm pretty sure if you give our squad list to the rest of the leagues managers, they'd pick a very very different team selection.

Anyway, at least we are in this together lads, back in the days before the internet, I'd probably have called Radio Lancashire and not got on air, then drown my sorrows and watch YouTube clips of the 90's golden era. Best dig them old videos out of the loft fella's, we may need to relive those memories every Saturday afternoon. If you wish, some of you can have a shout at Wilcox, then realise that compared to the shower we've seen lately, he was a marvellous player. Imagine him and Ripley getting the crosses in for the Yak now? He'd be on about 50 goals now surely?! :)

Full marks to Wigan's support .... who despite having a manager with a similar record to Kean at the time .... didn't press the self destruct button back in September and help heap a malaise on their own club.

Just seen Kean walking his dog.. He said we still won't be relegated, deffo for sure we are staying up. Bet your house on it.

You'll probably find that the dog was walking Kean. The dog is probably well ###### off, but all the other dog walkers and dog walker weekly keep going on that Kean is a great dog walker, it's just ungrateful dogs.

Let's read this one once again.

We are in one hell of a mess to be hoping for this scenario.

We have lost all pride, all hope and all sanity under the horrors.

absolutely shameful! youre helping sign rovers death warrant! the 2 most staggering posts i've ever read! (roverandout and this 1!)

Not because it helps seals Rovers demise - lets face it that was sealed a long time ago - but because taken in isolation this was a tremendous performance from a team written off by everyone. For that reason I wanted them to win...

Martinez is everything Kean is not:

Honest, decent, a knowledgeable football man who cares passionately and speaks the truth about the game and about his team, Kean isn't fit to lace his boots.

3pts and 10 goals from safety and it will get worse if bolton do anything with 2 games in hand.

Relegated before the Wigan game at this rate, Norwich are miles and miles better than us and i'd wager spurs won't go easy.

I hope there is at least some fight shown before next seasons relegation as this one has been pathetic.
