People have every right to give ES a hard time, the man ridiculed fan after fan, and he still doesn't have the decency to admit he was wrong.

I'd forgotten how much of a mug the guy was until reading the previous post.

Considering all that's happened/happening, it seems inconceivable that someone would hold such a viewpoint.

So I should not express an opinion?

It's clear as day that I disagree with Ewood Sparks views on this but I don't see how what I have said about him in the past on a personal level is relevant

I shouldn't argue with you. You clearly are as fair-minded and decent as they come. You must feel let down though on the quiet.

I don't think there are many people who don't feel let down. If they hadn't gone and this had still occurred (it obviously would) people would be blaming them for spurning the opportunity for dialogue with the owners.

Damned if you do

You could almost understand him being so smug if we were safe with games to spare and he had been proven right. But the fact is he was about as wrong as you could possibly be, and yet still continues with his "trembler" comments and posts full of  's and ;) 's.

It's as though he is enjoying what is happening - yet I'm sure he can't be.

Not on the quiet at all

I think people are more than entitled to bite back at ES I'm currently unsure if he is on the wind up or not

Nasty piece of work you are and no mistake.Tom said you were a decent fellow and we'd all like you if we met you.

More back-tracking for him I think.

I've met him several times, nice chap, head screwed on right, think he's fishing more than anything else.

I don't think I need to be brought into this to be honest

I respect your opinions Tom, but it is that same respect which gave ES a momentary benefit of the doubt when you vouched for him. Since that time, he's acted contrary to every character reference provided to him (yours included). So posters remembering and commenting on your prior comments seems fair game, IMO, as you thought they were relevant enough to make in the first place.

Maybe he doesn't have any decency? He seems a typical internet troll, in other words pathetic decision making.

I've met him several times, nice chap, head screwed on right, think he's fishing more than anything else.

The alleged fact that he is "fishing" contradicts your assertion that he is a "nice chap, head screwed on right".

What gets me is that those that complain the supporters are being divided seemingly blame the protesters, but give ES and his ilk a pass. Why ES would chose to go WUM-mode on the eve of 4 critical games is completely beyond me. We have the barest thread of a chance (i.e. slender at best) of staying up, and he chooses to mock and ridicule supporters who attempted to gain the attention of the owners so this mess could be avoided. Real brain power and character at work there (not!).

It almost makes me think ES's is supporting Kean's alleged strategy of winding up the fans before the match so he can have an excuse to blame a defeat on.

Given what's gone on this season and the way Venkies have behaved I don't think anyone would have blamed them for not going. It reminded me for all the world of Neville Chamberlain's ill-fated trip to Munich. Having said that at least he came back with a sheet of paper.

Striker Jason Roberts joined the Royals from Blackburn in January, scoring six goals in 15 games since arriving at the Madejski Stadium.

He said: "I'm 34 years old and may never get an opportunity like this again, so it's an absolute pleasure.

"We've got a team here that is full of proper people.

what is JR referring to mmm I wonder

This is the same Jason Roberts, let's not forget, that kept telling us fans to 'be positive' and that 'exciting times' were coming under the current owners. He'd seen 'first hand' what their 'fantastic plans' were and couldn't keep telling us enough.

Roberts seems to be fine with all and sundry when playing.

It's when he's not playing that the problems kick-in as we saw back with Sam. Remember his antics at WHL when he'd scored that goal.

We all need to look in the morror at times, perhaps Roberts does a bit more than others !

Spot on. He was a Venkys cheerleader right up to the time he was dropped due to his contract.

Would he have given a sh!t about a team mate if this had happened to them?

He'll do nothing with Reading in the Premiership, you cant keep shinning them in forever.

Looks like you forgot a verse ......

Who killed Blackburn Rovers? Why? And what was the reason for?

It was not me the Trembler cried,

I cannot be blamed for the slide.

I protested clad in yellow and black,

just to give 'Coco' some flack.

Why should I hang my head in shame?

A poisonous atmosphere wasn't my aim,

It wasn't my intention as a 'true fan',

To become the other teams 12th man.

It wasn't me that made rovers fall.

No you can't blame me at all.

You really are a pathetic person . Man them V's must have give you a nice ...insert word here.... Have your bumchums and kean done a good job .. Yes or no.

I bet you wouldn't have the balls to call someone a trembler to three face , unless you were stood near the police.

Their face .. Phone not editing

An excellent post Parson as usual.

You are so right to remind us of our history and past achievements. The club will survive this relegation. The shirts will be still be unique in football and the ground will still be Ewood Park.

Fans turning on other fans is sad but understandable given the sorry nature of this season when our hopes and expectations back in August have been dashed on a regular basis.

In conversation last night with a gentleman born in Blackburn but of Indian parentage he was of the opinion that the Venkys will sell up and move on after getting their money back.He expressed some concern about possible anti-Indian feeling in the town. I tried to reassure him that that would be unlikely but it does illustrate how the affairs of a football club do affect the local community in a very real way.

Relegations do come with the territory of supporting Rovers and indeed any club; many of us on here have experienced it before.

It will be soon clear who the hard-core of Rovers supporters are. They will help keep the club alive.

I have to hope that Steve Kean and the Venkys will both exit and allow the club to regroup and prosper. We have always been a well run club with a marvellous history as a League club and then as a Premier League club. The media are more than happy to forget that history.

I recall a recent Ewood fixture against Norwich when we showed our affection for our Uncle Jack.I just hope that on Saturday we remember that we are still Rovers fans and supporters who have affection for our club despite the current despondency.

Very good posts from Parson, Bob and Tony in this thread.

I know Ewood Spark and he is a very nice chap and I'm not sure if he is being tongue in cheek with his posts but I would agree with him in as far as the atmosphere and abuse at a couple of home games, Swansea and in particular Bolton was not helpful in the slightest and this is what drew the majority of the criticism from neutrals and opposition managers. However following that it seems to me the fans took heed of comments made and since the turn of the year the support given to the team has been exemplary, especially given the situation we've had to endure. Even if it hadn't been as good, it's not the fans fault. It's not the fans who can't master the most rudimentary basics of defending nor have the fans conceded well over seventy goals this season. Or missede crucial penalties.

I'm still hoping against hope for a miracle in the last four games. But if we don't get it we have two choices. Give up and walk away or dust ourselves down and go again. I suspect many of our underpaid underpeformers on the pitch will be off at the first opportunity. It's disappointing that so many fans seem to be of the same mindset but as Tony and Parson said the Club will endure in some capacity no matter what happens in the immediate future. I expect I'll always be there health permitting (what else are you going to do?) and very much hope I am there to celebrate when things start moving in the right direction gain as they invariably always do eventually.

Did our cause no end of harm, the reputation of our fans is only just recovering (obviously because we are now adrift, before that the man was doing a 'fantastic job').

Looking back to that Bolton night, with the LT editorial, Jack Straw, and then going 2-0 down at home to the team in 20th place, what other reaction was he going to get, considering his atrocious record other than 'Kean out'?

But yes, the support this season has been superb, far better than any of them deserve.

I'm getting sick of hearing about the Bolton game. What hasn't been said about it?

The media could very easily (and ordinarily would) have come down on the side of the fans - but they chose not to. The chose to defend Kean despite his record, his lack of management ability and his contradictory, cringeworthy, no-nothing, empty-worded interviews.

Why? Because the club employ a PR guru (Max Clifford he ain't) to look after him.

Makes me spew.

Makes me spew.

The leg iron played a YouTube clip to the kids earlier about how Jack built up the club and how passionate and popular he was with everyone. We've all seen it. Not my kids though. I had to go for a drive and get out the way. it's disgusting what's happened to our club. Absolutely disgusting.

If we go 2 down on Saturday Stevie lad, likely if Swansea was anything to go by, the Bolton match will seem like a stroll in the park.

The worst thing is that should we get a miracle set of results between now and the end of they season, Venkys won't think "Phew that was close" and bin Kean, they'll congratulate him, and themselves, keep him on and probably reward him with another new contract!

It's no win. :(

The Bolton game was just everyone had more than they could take and exploded but it wasn't abuse...wot about Villas protests , Evertons ,even Arsenals but when Rovers fans chant Kean out its abuse get real !

Sunderlands fans as soon as the boos started ringing Bruce was gone !

It's about 'knowing your place'.

Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, West Ham, Sunderland fans have 'every right' to protest against a manager, they 'deserve success'.

Blackburn Rovers? As that twonk in the Sunday Sun said 'who do yout think you are? Man United? Where else are you going to be but in a relegation scrap?'

Let Stevie Kean learn his trade and STFU.
