Stuart Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I hope this will end the Kean love-in that had started in the media and had been creeping on here. You're joking, aren't you? This was scripted today and Kean played his part. Forget manager of the year, he'll be writing his knighthood acceptance speech as we speak.

MarkBRFC71 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Only 3 points clear of relegation now .... Perhaps next week Kean might pick our strongest team. We've won the last 2 in spite of Kean and his preferred first team, not because of them. Dire today.
rovers1993 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 3 points, not 2. Can someone start a prediction thread with the link to the BBC predictor? Wanna see people's guess. I got rovers going down with 31 points.
hesfromburn Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Clear Penalty turned down, Sitter missed. Bolton missed 1 or 2 chances aswell, we wernt good enough today. The "attractive" football we have been playing the last 3 games is awful, much worse than anyhting we played under sam. At least sam mixed it up a bit. Its just so repetative.
Stuart Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Now only 2 points from the relegation places with the like of Utd,Liverpool,Spurs and Chelsea all to come. DON THE TIN HATS FOLKS! I make it 3 but your point still stands.
jny Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Any chance we could pay another team to take Dann away? Abysmal player
Backroom DE. Posted March 24, 2012 Backroom Posted March 24, 2012 You're joking, aren't you? This was scripted today and Kean played his part. Forget manager of the year, he'll be writing his knighthood acceptance speech as we speak. I'm just hoping he'll be totally ignored. If we'd won today the world may have been annoyed and sympathetic towards Bolton but Kean would still have been hailed for 3 straight wins, pulling the team from the brink, sticking two fingers up at the Neanderthal protesters, etc etc etc. A loss should mean he just doesn't get mentioned. I'm sick of reading about how he's a good manager on the basis of beating two woeful teams.
Clitherover Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 At least Mr Slimy won't get manager of the month...
ABBEY Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 FSAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MASTER TACTITION ....I HATE KEAN I HATE VENKYS !!!!!!!!I HATE SCOUSERS ONLY GOOD THING IS HADDOCK WILL BE QUIET
Mercer Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Big Sam's tactics but not as effective ! IMO, Kean is an incompetent copy only - give me the original any time.
Backroom Tom Posted March 24, 2012 Backroom Posted March 24, 2012 Only 2 points clear of relegation now .... Perhaps next week Kean might pick our strongest team. We've won the last 2 in spite of Kean and his preferred first team, not because of them. Dire today. 3 points, line up was the right one we just didn't defend crosses IMO Awful result and first half but we're still in the best position of the bottom 5
Clitherover Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Dalglish should also be sacked if that club had any balls.
jny Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Also, what was with all the inane long balls today, when we've played it much better along the floor of late? We now do not have the aerial presence required to win them in Samba and Nelsen, thanks to our feckless owners. I can understand Pedersen's long throws, they're far easier to latch onto, coming from the side and have contributed practically all our recent goals, but seriously, why start with the long balls when they clearly do not work anymore!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 God help us if we dont take maximum points from the Norwich and Wigan home games.
yellowsubmarine Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 It's ridiculous that a Rovers player (presumably Goodwillie) is "tasked" to warm up near the Rovers corner flag so what he can pass the ball to Robinson quickly in case the ball goes out to play. He's a striker ffs! We need a goal and he's asked to be a ball picker!
bluefred Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 scott dann lost us that game again , hes f--king sh-te, no wonder brum couldnt wait to get shut.
bluefred Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 at least all but our result went for us today and wigan, so no real damage done
bestierover Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 scott dann lost us that game again , hes f--king sh-te, no wonder brum couldnt wait to get shut. He is indeed very poor. I remain amazed by our purchase.
Backroom DE. Posted March 24, 2012 Backroom Posted March 24, 2012 Dann is a very, very poor player at this level. Meanwhile we've got a superior player in Gael Givet sitting on the bench.
moerpho Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Hate to say it but I never thought we were going to win this. Before kickoff I thought to myself that the best we could hope for was a draw. Why? Not because of the Muamba incident. Not because it was away. Not because it was Bolton. But because it would be to much to ask for Rovers to win three games in a row in a season where we couldn't string two wins together nor keep a clean sheet until 27 matches had been played and it is the month of March (onward and up....sure...) Must say I take this result with a big MEH as the damage done earlier in the season still hampers us and the players obviously lack the confidence to win three games on the trot. It didn't help matters that Kean decided to start with the same eleven that also played last two games (and won both) as there were no surprises for Owen Coyle who no doubt set up his team accordingly and it won them the three points. Not much he could defensivly other than let Orr get a start - in hindsight perhaps not such a bad idea as Lowe had a horrid time against Petrov - but perhaps a change in a midfield that got easily overrun today? Even the abysmal norwegian commentator I was listening to couldn't believe we made no subs at half time. Only eight games left and looking at our run-in I think this won't be decided untill the final round. This time of year surprising results has a tendency to come out of nowhere for those in the bottom of the league and I expect more than just Wigans win against Liverpool from here 'till May. Only sad thing is that it is blatantly obvious that if we are to get another season of Rovers in the PL we have to pull at least one such result out of the hat and right now I have a hard time seeing it happen. On todays game I thought the scoreline flattered us to be honest and trying to chose a MotM for Rovers is next to impossible - only thing I'm 100% sure of is that it won't be Dann. Next up ManUre - prove me wrong Rovers and do a double over them!
MarkBRFC71 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 3 points, line up was the right one we just didn't defend crosses IMO Awful result and first half but we're still in the best position of the bottom 5 Our strongest side (assuming no injuries) is clear: Robbo Orr Givet Hanley Martin O. N'Zonzi Lowe Hoilett Dunn Marcus O. Yak Players in their actual positions - not a young central midfielder at RB and a left winger in CM. Back to today, just waiting now for Kean's press conference where he blames it all on the Muamba-factor.
rovers11 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Bad day at the office. But all round, not a complete disaster. Still 3 points ahead of the bottom 3 with a superior goal difference. Wigan was a surprise and they have a winnable game against stoke next but even if they win that they still won't overtake us. Their next four after that are tough. Wolves are almost gone. QPR are without their best player for half of their games, and have a bad run in. Bolton have a good run in and should survive. We'll take the required points from west brom, Norwich and Wigan.
Amo Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 We weren't great and got beat 2-1 in a match that was always likely to end up as a Bolton win. Some people need to stop dramatising and wind their necks in. Our fate is still in our own hands. Our latest good form was an exception to the rule. That's what people need to remember. Back to our brilliant best today. No defence, no leadership, no clue.
