mark Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 With our fortunes on the pitch having dramatically improved since the turn of the year, I think it is a good time to take stock and objectively review the state of the ownership and management of BRFC. Hats off deazel. That's a ballsy post. I reckon you'll got loads of sh!t but personally agree with much off it. Gotta be careful not to get carried away tho - QPR put the pressure right back on last night and a Bolton win will suck us right back in with MAn Utd next up. Long way to go yet..

Majiball Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 You've got to love the way people harp on about being hounded as they have a different opinion and yet they seem quite happy in ridiculing others.
Stuart Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 You've got to love the way people harp on about being hounded as they have a different opinion and yet they seem quite happy in ridiculing others. It's not love, it's more pity.
Pugg Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Question: If our wage bill has been slashed significantly and our debt slashed too and we finish say 14th, is this a better achievement than say spending double on wages and finishing 10th? What is our debt at the moment?
Mattyblue Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Our wage bill was double under Sam was it? How about agent fees?
Stuart Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Our wage bill was double under Sam was it? How about agent fees? Great point. However, the fatal flaw in your argument is that those agents fees went towards bringing is some fantastic players on low fees and low wages. Plus the real buzz that they brought to the place. Seriously though, how about all those bumper contract they gave out that made our OWN PLAYERS unaffordable.
Mattyblue Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 No, my point was Stu, despite paying higher wages two years ago, we were not paying £2million to agents for a £600k signing. Kinds of offsets any 'trimming of the wage bill'.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 You've got to love the way people harp on about being hounded as they have a different opinion and yet they seem quite happy in ridiculing others. This point has been addressed before. It's siege mentality.
47er Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 This point has been addressed before. It's siege mentality. Its an addiction with you.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Its an addiction with you. Coffee spit moment!!! Jesus H, you've got more front than Southend! Kinell

Kinds of offsets any 'trimming of the wage bill'. Sorry mate. Our sarcasm filters were on different frequencies. Mia Culpa. I was agreeing with you!
47er Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Coffee spit moment!!! You have a lot of those don't you? Hope it was nice and hot!
deryck guyler's spoon Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 You have a lot of those don't you? Hope it was nice and hot! I'd use a lot of yawning smilies in response to you if such a thing was available. I'm done with you now teach, off you pop.
47er Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I'd use a lot of yawning smilies in response to you if such a thing was available. I'm done with you now teach, off you pop. Poor stuff. This is much more your style (and limit) "Stick the plum on ignore, you'll feel much better. .....and btw please stop quoting him " I'm sure that cut Philip L to the quick! Now where's that ignore button?
Mattyblue Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Hearing last night that the HR manager has also been removed and not replaced. So that's the however many hundred who work for BRFC with nobody overseeing their roles.
roversmum Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 No, she has a new job nearer home which is better for her family circumstances.
roversmum Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Give them a chance, she hasn't actually gone yet...
Exiled in Toronto Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Give them a chance, she hasn't actually gone yet... Hahaha - another rumour masuqerading as fact nicely nailed! Think of the outrage if her replacement had arrived before she left! "Forced out", "disgrace" etc etc
Mattyblue Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Now now EiT, I am merely repeating word for word what a staffer in the Community team told me.
Exiled in Toronto Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Now now EiT, I am merely repeating word for word what a staffer in the Community team told me. I think this just goes to show that even apparently well-placed sources are far from infallible. Would that be the Community team our own very well connected Philipl assured us was being closed down a year ago?
imy9 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I think this just goes to show that even apparently well-placed sources are far from infallible. Would that be the Community team our own very well connected Philipl assured us was being closed down a year ago? I do remember that great nugget of information. Still waiting for the FA investigations and all the other horrible stuff to come out... To be fair though Venkys PR has been so poor that it gives people open license to spout this stuff. Recently has been much better as they have simply said nothing at all.
Andy Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 To be fair, it's one word against the other - we don't actually know which is true.
roverandout Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 venkys still remain silent after all these months, no communication whatsoever, all they are interested in is advertising their own product, selling off players and sidelining good proffesionals like salgado, the sooner they are out the better kean not changed my opinion on him, a couple of wins does not a season make, he has done far more damage than good, if any, he is loathed by fans because of the things he has said and done off the pich and most people still want him out which says it all, rovers have played better in the last few weeks, fair enough but he got us into this mess and i believe the players are getting us out of it in spite of him not because of him the fans given alot of unfair abuse from every angle of the media, other fans etc despite always giving %100 support to the players on the pitch, people who have no idea what is really going on calling us a disgrace and we, as the fans, have shown far more dignity than the likes of kean or venkys will ever show!!!
