yoda Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 They (Coco, PNE Agnew, Shaggy) will lie when it comes to releasing the gate figures. Thats' an interesting twist, years ago the rumour was the posted figures had been shaved

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 That's almost 12,000 ST holders lost under the Venky regime. Most of which will never return, absolutely devestating for a town club. Its a frightening figure.Twenty years of hard work building our gates and regaining the trust of fans has literally gone down the pan...makes me want to f'kin weep. So angry at what these gobshytes have done to our club.
JAL Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Are the season ticket holders personal financial details held in India now ?
thenodrog Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Its a frightening figure.Twenty years of hard work building our gates and regaining the trust of fans has literally gone down the pan...makes me want to f'kin weep. Me too. I don't believe they can even begin to know what the magnitude of what they have done to the club and the town. Twice in two generations that Blackburn has been completely screwed over by people in India. They fooked the cotton industry and the town first and now they've fooked the football club. Only suprise to me is that the BwD Council has not moved to twin with Pune yet.
Neil Weaver Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Only suprise to me is that the BwD Council has not moved to twin with Pune yet. ES works for the council doesn't he? You'll be giving him ideas.
Ewood Spark Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 ES works for the council doesn't he? Not unlike most of your posts ...complete misinformed garbage. Anyway ... sorry I can't stop around for a chat ... off to support my team at Fleetwood.
Exiled in Toronto Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Twenty years of hard work building our gates and regaining the trust of fans has literally gone down the pan...makes me want to f'kin weep. Not to get picky but it was being the Bank of England club and winning the league 3 years after promotion that built our gates, as it would any other club.
Mattyblue Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Yet we kept the high crowds for 15 years post 95, cheap tickets and all that, but for a town like Blackburn they were fantastic numbers to have in the ground. Alas, we'll never see them again.
Waggy76 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I very much doubt ,I will see Rovers in the Premier League again in my lifetime (48) ....
1864roverite Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I cant understand why Rovers havent used KEANSCUM to do the voice overs on the mobile phone advertisements, after all he is a popular man with the majority of the support behind him ! We would have sold many more tickets if he had headed Rovers st advertisements HONEST KEANSCUM OUT
Jimmy612 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012  Not unlike most of your posts ...complete misinformed garbage. Anyway ... sorry I can't stop around for a chat ... off to support my team at Fleetwood. I'm curious. Which part of BRFC is now your team? I can think of possibly the Name and the Stadium we frequently lose at. Thats about it. I'm only 22. I've only ever seen us on a relative high. Okay 98 was a bit ###### but we new we would bounce back. I never ever thought i'd stop going to Rovers, or stop getting that feeling of genuine excitment every time we played. Or get that horrible nervous feeling when leading 1-0 against United etc. But all of that emotion has evaporated in the last 18months. It no longer feels like my club. What makes you so blindly loyal to a regime that has seen 20,000+ peoples shared passion go up in smoke?
Exiled in Toronto Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 JHC how much longer will this back and forth go on. Some people see a clear distinction between BRFC the institution (founded 1875) and whichever set of people happen to be running it at any one time. Some people clearly don't.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 1, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted August 1, 2012 nothing like blind support is there? Isn't that what football is all about? Granted Venky's have been terrible owners and the sooner we are rid, the better, but nobody is driving me away from Ewood and stopping me watching 11 men playing in blue and white.
47er Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 JHC how much longer will this back and forth go. Clearly, as long as people continue to contribute or are you hoping to end it with yours?!!!!
Exiled in Toronto Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Clearly, as long as people continue to contribute or are you hoping to end it with yours?!!!! I'd just like something interesting, new or funny to read!
onlyonejackwalker Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I very much doubt ,I will see Rovers in the Premier League again in my lifetime (48) .... I am a bit younger than you Waggy at 44, but you may well be right and this was my primary concern for years under the Trust after JW had passed away. We simply had to maintain PL status at the expense of all else, not really for the likes of us older fans who have seen the team much lower down over the years and had our fun with the PL and Worthington Cup, but for the general financial health and long term future and good of the club now and going forward, plus the lasting enjoyment of future generations of fans. The more practical fans who fully understood this enjoyed their football under Hughes and Allardyce with guaranteed PL survival at the very least and the same fans were immediately hugely concerned for the club under Ince and Kean. I can well remember being marooned lower down the leagues and although I knew no different, we always dreamed of being up there one day. We had to stay up this during this period at the expense of all else and for VenKean to pish that away without a care in the world makes me very irritable and angry.
because of boxing day Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 The post "Early Bird Offer " price list: http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10303,00.html
1864roverite Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I would just love to know the sales strategy that Agnew intends to try and lure the missing Rovers thousands of supporters. The idiot should be ashamed of his own performance at the helm and resign along with his co-idiot KEANSCUM
Gav Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I would just love to know the sales strategy that Agnew intends to try and lure the missing Rovers thousands of supporters. The idiot should be ashamed of his own performance at the helm and resign along with his co-idiot KEANSCUM The mans an arse, simple as that, I bet he wakes up every day thinking how lucky he is to be paid by some thick rich kids from India, and who can blame him? Thankfully the real footballing fraternity know him for being the worse press officer in the Premiership and anyone locally knows he can't even get the spelling correct on his company website, as I said the mans an arse and most people that have worked with him knows he’s inept, alledgedly Kean gets the buttet, this rat deserts the ship also hopefully, despite his mate Shaw being brought in to firm up his position.
OJRovers Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 £259 still cheap as chip, credit where it's due for that But I'm still not tempted whilst the circus is in town.
Mattyblue Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 I would just love to know the sales strategy that Agnew intends to try and lure the missing Rovers thousands of supporters. We win a few games and they'll come flooding back. Agnew's own words on Radio Lancs.
Backroom DE. Posted August 2, 2012 Backroom Posted August 2, 2012 We win a few games and they'll come flooding back. Agnew's own words on Radio Lancs. I would say "we'll see" but with Kean in charge we won't.

Ralfinho Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 it seems as though the corporate boxes arent getting filled. I made a tentetive enquiry a month or so ago about a box. I got an email on Monday with prices and would I like to book one. Now I have just had a call from Rovers asking if I have decided to get one and if not they will come and visit me to discuss things. Oh dear, looking like nobody is taking any corporate for the coming season. Can I point out that I enquired in a drunken state when I was with a bunch of my mates and sold them the idea of a meal and booze every match in our own box for 1200 each. Turns out thats not the case as 1200 each would just get you the box.
