imy9 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 You're the one making that leap. Read your post, it is patronising, we all know the "facts" and are adults capable of making rational decisions, telling people that if you buy a season ticket then you have "more money than sense", what would you say that is?

Amo Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Read your post, it is patronising, we all know the "facts" and are adults capable of making rational decisions, telling people that if you buy a season ticket then you have "more money than sense", what would you say that is? It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. If people want to challenge it (and they have) that's fair game. But nowhere have I TOLD fans what they must do, which is what you're getting at.
TBTF Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Lads please!!! We all know we are entitled to opinions but lets not start a slagging match. There is no right answer to any of this .We all wished we had good owners, good manager and club progressing on and off the field and we would all happily renew without a second thought. Point is these morons have driven a wedge between some good loyal supporters but lets hear why you are /aren't renewing without it turning personal FFS!!

But nowhere have I TOLD fans what they must do, which is what you're getting at. You have been ramming your opinion down people's throats though that's obvious, your patronising tone does not help either. Effectively calling people who buy season tickets thick how does that fit in with 'ramming an opinion down ones throat'?

Effectively calling people who buy season tickets thick how does that fit in with 'ramming an opinion down ones throat'? You'll be buying a season ticket then?
3rdpillar Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 My renewal has *cuk all to do with Venkys OR Kean. I support my team, I support my 'football friends'(inbetweeners reference). Football days, home and away; are a significant part of our lives and the experiences we have together drive us through the week and sustain us till we meet again. This provides a great balance to the rest of our personal/working lives. Just what does football / BRFC mean to you? Think about it please, should you have the means and the time to renew.
den Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Just what does football / BRFC mean to you? Think about it please, should you have the means and the time to renew. The answer is in the previous pages.
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I love how people are now experts on what Venky's will think/do in the circumstances of season ticket sales falling. To me the diecision has to be a simple I do/don't want to go anymore. If the last 15 months have taught us anything, it is nonsensical to assume that one action or the other will influence Venky's one way or the other.
Amo Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 You have been ramming your opinion down people's throats though that's obvious, your patronising tone does not help either. Proof please. I haven't forced my opinion on anyone. Yet apparently you've outright told people not to protest? Effectively calling people who buy season tickets thick how does that fit in with 'ramming an opinion down ones throat'? It doesn't? Next question.
OJRovers Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I don't think anyone on this thread has been over-abuse for or against renewing. I won't be renewing whilst Venkys, Kean, Hunt, Agnew etc are still at the club for the obvious reasons we've been over numerous times. I will get to some away games though. (that will be 4 of us in the BBE not renewing)
47er Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Proof please. I haven't forced my opinion on anyone. Yet apparently you've outright told people not to protest? He's not responding on this bit is he?
Mike Graham Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 At the end of the day it is personal choice. Others will renew, I can understand the loyalty bit and the afternoon/evening out with the mates escapism from everyday life that footie brings. I believe the loyalty angle can be blind loyalty on occasions, but we must be able to have personal choice on some issues. If the Venky's gave me a £1000 to turn up to Ewood I would say NO......they and that mother f***er Coco have ruined my Club. However I will not criticise those who have chosen another path and are renewing. HOWEVER BANANAS YOU ARE.
stuwilky Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Had letter today stating first DD payment will be on 27th April for our two tickets, They dont hang about, just hope when bank june deadline hits, that things are a little more rosier in having our credit line extended. 27th of the month? They can nob off with that one!
Ralfinho Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 surely they cant start charging for next season before this one has finished?
Ricky Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Of course they can, you're buying it now. Otherwise there's probably a strong chance of people cancelling if we get relegated. At least if the first payment has been taken there's less chance of lots of cancellations.
imy9 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Proof please. I haven't forced my opinion on anyone. Yet apparently you've outright told people not to protest? It doesn't? Next question. 'Apparently'?? Where have I told people not to protest? You really are a strange one, calling people thick for buying season tickets, might want to get off that mighty big high horse of yours. People have their reasons for buying season tickets does make them less intelligent than you. Finally you say next question, I actually don't want to involve myself in a conversation with you but you quoted me so the polite thing was for me to reply. I don't have time for self righteous keyboard warriors, so I'll stop, on ignore.
Al Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I don't have time for self righteous keyboard warriors, so I'll stop, on ignore. Pot. Kettle. Black?
imy9 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Pot. Kettle. Black? I wouldn't want to label you Al but if the cap fits...lol
Al Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I wouldn't want to label you Al but if the cap fits...lol Not very witty Imy, but maybe the best I can expect from you.
St_Jimmy_77 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 27th of the month? They can nob off with that one! More than likely to do with the change in finance company than Rovers this.
imy9 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Not very witty Imy, but maybe the best I can expect from you. Slightly witty then I'll leave you to accusing fellow posters for having a selfish attitude by purchasing season tickets, can see which posters you side with
Amo Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 'Apparently'?? Where have I told people not to protest? "I am not/have not criticised my fellow fans, I have praised the protestors and am firmly in the Kean out/Venkys out camp, however the protests need to stop-and they have IMO." ^ That's a post of yours from January this year. So in your OPINION, the protests need to stop? Well, in my opinion, people should keep their money in their pocket where season tickets are concerned. You really are a strange one, calling people thick for buying season tickets, might want to get off that mighty big high horse of yours. People have their reasons for buying season tickets does make them less intelligent than you. Nice try at twisting my words. You really do stoop to new lows, don't you, Imy? Finally you say next question, I actually don't want to involve myself in a conversation with you but you quoted me so the polite thing was for me to reply. I don't have time for self righteous keyboard warriors, so I'll stop, on ignore. Thank you kindly. You've done us both a favour.
ABBEY Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Of course they can, you're buying it now. Otherwise there's probably a strong chance of people cancelling if we get relegated. At least if the first payment has been taken there's less chance of lots of cancellations. What if you pay say on credit card? Could you cancel ?
Jock Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 What if you pay say on credit card? Could you cancel ? Cant you get money back on credit cards for dodgy goods? Isnt it fraudulant to put a weakened side out?
EWOODACE1 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 tonight has confirmed my decision that i wont be renewing whilst kean is in charge. i dont want to be watching us in the championship with this guy in charge. if what seems to be true in the fact that we save money by not making subs and he is happy with that then i wont be part of it. we are unfit, tactically inept and clueless
