I can't believe anyone has renewed.

If Kean is still going to be the manager then you are watching Blackburn Rovers in name only..

The club and everything else that was good about it has been systematically taken apart.

Despite relegation, Venkys, Kean, fears over cutbacks & player exits, 6k #brfc fans commit to championship season-tix. Loyalty in adversity

:o:o

 - I dont get why more than 2 in every 30 have renewed....this does not make sense....Misery told me this is not possible!

Boris Bear tweet in reply -

I am showing my loyalty to #BRFC by not giving a penny more of my money to Venkys as they have destroyed our club. #Venkysout

Hughsie I don't know what your point is, Wolves have sold 15k STs already for next season, our 6k is hardly something to brag about.

Sorry my point is in relation to Misery man who has been telling us we have only sold around 1200…..infact when I suggested 5k at the end of the price freeze, he said WTF am I on.

15k already for next season? We only sold 500 more than that for the season just ending in the prem...they play in a massive city with a huge number of people, unlike here. So whats your point? lol

We get anywhere near to 12,000 and we have done well. Considering last time we went down we lost 4000 ST holders, and the economy was in a much better position, and people were much happier with the manager and owner.

Out of interest....does anyone know how many s/t were sold for the 99/00 season? If the 6k figure is correct I cannot see too many more people renewing between now and the end of the season. Fans will have made their minds up by now.

People need to stop thinking like football fans and start thinking like customers. Not buying season tickets is the last and a good chance to show venkys how feel about the situation. In any other walk of life you, as a customer, were treated like this you’d not buy.

Ewood park having 3000 home fans may just encourage them to sell up.

+1

6000 sold.

Considering the low price, and the comparison to Wolves' sales, I'd say Venkys should be considerably embarrassed.

So if less than 11,000 renew, the difference is decent fans protesting with their feet?

Talking to a club official on monday night who said they have definitely only sold 2000 !

Time will tell.

Hey deluded one, he said 1,200 this morning and it's now 6,000. IMO, as I've said all along, someone is playing games with numbers. Pity is, you believe anything you are told.

"As well as the huge drop in TV revenue, Rovers will be hit by a contraction in commercial revenue. So far only 1,200 season tickets have been sold in the club’s early-bird ticket programme. A company which once rented a large executive box at Ewood for £15,000 a season was offered the same package for £3,000. It turned it down."

I admire your enthusiasm Hughesy, perhaps many of us have grown old and cynical supporting the Rovers for more years than many of us care to remember, but in all seriousness how many season tickets do you expect us to sell now that we know that Venky's and Kean are "going nowhere"?

The removal of Hunt shows just how much power Kean has at this club and like it or not, Desai is clearly backing him to the full. Do you really believe that people are going to pay increased prices to support people who believe that relegation is a step backwards to enable to club to move forwards?

Guardian says 1200.

Grow up, you only stopped backing Venky's recently and you even had your head up Kean's arse for a ridiculous amount of time.

You also slagged off the protesters, who have been proved right.

Your judgement is continuously poor and you come across as a petulant child. Grow up.

If anything - today has made sense of my decision to renew.

I wish I could afford to go to chelsea, but looking forward to the first game of the season with baited breath. Even though I have been vocal about the plight of the team in the last 18 months, I have never taken the level of what you describe a protestor. Unless they ban me from the ground I will not let up on my feelings for the charlatans in charge. Banners, posters, etc. I feel like kicking the wall right now, and that anger needs to be manifested into something positive.

Forget the money it cost me - £9 for 90 minutes of time to make my feelings known is a bargain. You may think that I am funding this madness, or indirectly supporting Venkys and the fat bald moron. Thats your view, I could make the same argument based those of you who pay for a SKY subscription. Granted, the money is important, but the very name, image, history etc is being tarnished, and (in my view) £225 is a drop in the ocean if we can help save that.

You might slag me off for being late. Things changed today. The managers goading of the fans was the most obvious I have ever seen. In the face of the world, the owners have blatantly given the people who want the best for the club a massive two fingers.

I have to make a stand against this.

I would rather go and support Burnley, than a Rovers team with Steve Kean in charge. As the likelyhood of either event coming off is nil. It's come down to something Kean has not done. " A goodbye from me."

It could be 1200 who have actually paid in cash upfront, and 4800 who have asked for direct debit forms and could still decide not to fill the form in now.

so you're suggesting that if i pay a sky subscription to watch all kinds of stuff that Sky show including sports, that is somehow the same as putting money directly into Venkys FC coffers?!!! No it's not. Buying a season ticket directly legitimises their ownership. and i don't care which figure is right about the season ticket sales - I know of at least 7 who have not renewed and only 2 who have. I want to renew but not to watch a team mismanaged by Kean and run by those idiots in India or whoever is actually in charge. I want to go to watch my team play whether it's in the Championship or wherever, but i want it to be my team, one that is properly run from top to bottom.
