I can only speak for the five members of my family who go together but the main problem for us is that it doesn't feel anything like 'our' club anymore.

Sad times, Arbitro. It mustve been a difficult decision to make.

I'm sure you wont change your team. ;) Hope you get back to Ewood soon. :brfc:

Rovers is in our blood mate. In one way we are all (to varying degrees) addicted to Rovers. To wean addicts off their addiction they have a programme for their close relatives and friends called tough love. Essentially it means what it says on the tin. I guess many of us Rovers addicts are going through that stage now and hurting because we aren't renewing. But I think we feel it will be for the better good of us all (and Rovers) in the long run.

Sad times indeed mate.

I first went on in 1969 and have had a season ticket since 1980..

Followed Rovers all over the country and on several trips to Europe ..

No more , I will not step foot over the threshold of Ewood park whilst that FRAUD of a manager is still there !

If Kean was sacked , I would pay at the gate every Saturday until Venkys have gone too ,when Venkys go I will buy a season ticket again ..

It is not financial , but Venkys and Kean delibrately relegated Blackburn Rovers in my view , and are a regime I cannot support ...

Until these odious characters have been removed the club will continue to go downhill at an alarming rate ..

In November 2010 , Blackburn Rovers were 10th in the premier League , look at the league table today ..

Does anyone really think, with these people at the helm , next season will not result in another relegation ?

Not a chance of me changing my team. It's in my blood, I couldn't change even if I wanted to. Having said that there's no way that I'll ever set foot in Ewood Park ever again whilst I'm alive and they're in charge. I was hoping to have my ashes scattered onto the pitch but that'll be on hold now. The Venkies are having nothing from me ever again.

I'll still go pretty much whatever happens but Venkys and Kean have both done their bit this week to take more chunks out of the number renewing. Venkys sack a guy for revealing a few obvious truths to them, and Kean takes another huge step forwards...into his own insanity. They both seem to have a natural gift for fanbase decimation.

Anyone tried to get their money back yet?

I rang up earlier to find out what the procedure is for cancelations of pre paid renewals.

Was told that there wasnt one and I needed to put my request in a letter to the ticket office manager.

"THEY BECOMES WE" ? I dont understand, 47er. Not critizing for the sake of it, but I cannot see how anyone can change the team/ teams they support.

Let me try and explain it for you Mr. Beans............As I was toiling very slowly and sadly up the hill away from Ewood on my way to Blackburn Rly Station after the Everton match last August, I thought to myself "why am I putting myself through this torture yet again, and for another season, in order to watch my team and get back home in Fife after midnight?" Then I realised the error in my thinking:

The TRUTH is that "my club" Blackburn Rovers NO LONGER EXISTS as the entity that we all have known and loved for various numbers of years. The name Blackburn Rovers still exists but that is ALL. The club is now in REALITY actually Venkys Rovers as an entity, and I feel absolutely no connection with this "imposter club" that is using the name of Blackburn Rovers. Whilst it may be legal it is not the real living entity of our club, and it never will be again until such time as the club is sold to new owners who will actually fully recognise the full and true meaning of Blackburn Rovers to the town and people of Blackburn, and to it's many fans further affield.

Since that day in August 2011 nothing at all has happened to make me re-think my position and so it still remains. However sad I feel and however much I miss my lovely homely and once PROUD family club, I will not enter the gates of Ewood Park again until the club has been sold and cleansed of the present contamination and is once again in the ownership of people that recognise what they own and are as proud to be it's owners as we fans are to be it's supporters.

That's it in a nutshell.....no more of my money will EVER reach the Venkys. END OF!!!!!!

Henry Winter has just said on Twitter we have sold 6,000 season tickets - sounds like the work of Keanocchio to me.

The poll on this site suggests the figure to be somewhere around that mark.

IMO, that's absolute b@lls.

Time the club told us exactly.

WTF can the big deal be unless its acute embarrassment.

I'm feeling 100% vindicated in my decision not to renew do far but would never begrudge anyone doing so

As plenty have said it doesn't feel like our club and something I want to give my support to on a financial basis right now

I hope that changes soon but if im honest I'm still fickle enough to change my mind should they ever sack Kean

If he is still in the dug-out in August I will still be abusing him, with my Season Ticket in my pocket.

Some of us have got to keep up the pressure. It will be 50% abusing him and 50% absent.

And the Venkys will get both barrels if they start appearing.

My feelings exactly Fife. It's like in that old sci-fi film " The Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers ". The body of the club has been taken over by aliens, the club has been cloned. They play in the same stadium, they play in the same kit, but it's not the same club.

Better get a move on Tyrone cos that'll mean a dusty mess on the aisle between the tinned foods counter and the soft drinks before long.

More like enough tickets for 6000 matches.

From people ,who sit around me (jack walker upper)and fans I know who are ST holders in other areas , I would totally astounded if we have sold 6000 tickets ..

Agree with your sentiments as I sit in same place.

What this "who's renewed/not renewed/where do they sit?" malarkey is showing is, no matter who's right with the overall number, it's a very different pattern according to age and different parts of the ground. Would make an interesting academic study if anyone's so inclined!

For what it counts, my own suspicion is that we'll see a greater proportion of those who pay most for STs (JW centre folk for instance) not renewing, a higher renewal rate amongst cheaper ticket holders. So income from STs will probably be lower than ticket numbers suggest.

Everyone sat around me at Ewood seems to be renewing (though everyone did have some kind of "I don't know why, we must be nuts" comment). Same with the people I tend to go to away games with (though I suspect that if the club ceased to exist weekend meet ups would still happen, probably in Wem).

Anyway. Those who want to boycott, but simply can't bring themselves to miss games, take up the US tradition of paper bag boycotts! Clicky Linky

Edit - Seems somebody has already cornered my potential market - http://www.paperbagfan.com/ :)
