Where's the loyalty? The fans spent the last 18 months turning up week in, week out watching Venky's dismantle their club. Even when they took to protesting they still turned up at kickoff to back the side in the face of inevitable relegation. However, you can only push most people so far before they snap. There's loyalty and there's 'blind loyalty', which you are endorsing now. Feel free to renew your season ticket and support the team but don't expect to complain about Kean, Venky's, or anything else for that matter. You have absolutely no right. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Where is the loyalty to the club through thick and thin ? we support BRFC not the venkeys and have done in our case since 1957.

We constantly criticise players, managers etc for not showing loyalty to the club and in the same breath walk away from the club

when things get tough. We badly need to see the back of kean and the raos as soon as possible but we need loyal supporters to

stick with BRFC until things start to improve. We have renewed our 4 season tickets and make no apology to anyone for doing so,

we continue to actively support BLACKBURN ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB  What has happened to ROVERS till I die for example.

It is a convenient excuse after relegation to desert them using the raos and kean to justify their actions, we need to show

proper support through thick and thin and see our current problems out. Season tickets at ewood park are cheap ! I can understand

fans being angry and frustrated at the moment but walking away from the club will not help, if anything it will lend weight to

our critics who criticise our supporters for not getting behind the TEAM.

Go on then i'll bite... :glare:

How dare you lecture people for not renewing season tickets? I have been watching Rovers for 35 years and had a season ticket for 22 of those years (never needed one before then as you could turn up at 5 to 3 and still stand where you wanted). In those 35 years I have seen relegations and promotions galore and throughout our darkest days (of which there where quite a few before 1991),I never once considered not attending a Rovers match, until now.

The price of tickets never entered the equation when I along with my son decided not to renew for the forthcoming season.Nor was our being in the championship ever a factor.

Bottom line is if you hand your money over to them bleep bleep bleeps,no matter how you dress it up,you are supporting Venky's.End of.

Now although I can understand how supporters want to be seen as supporting Rovers "til they die" I have supported Rovers until IT died, and that happened the day the Rao's took control of this club.

The day that we get our Rovers back I will once more set foot in Ewood.Until that day however, they can kiss my ar$e if they think I am going to endorse their continual destruction of our club!

Rant over!!

I will not renew and come August it will hurt but I steadfastly refuse to watch Rovers whilst that imbecile is stood on the touchline in his ill fitting suit. He will pick the team, set them up and decide on tactics and substitutions etc. Having to see him will anger me and I don't go to football to feel like that. But equally as important is the fact that Blackburn Rovers doesn't have the same feel to it. Through all the years of watching I always looked forward to each game but now with these clowns that feeling of being a part of something special has gone.

I couldn't give a toss what anyone who isn't a rovers fan thinks of us. If the media come out and critisise us for not getting behind our team, so what. It doesn't hurt half as much as what is happening at Ewood. At the moment, I am proud to say that, I have turned my back on what was once the most important thing in my life. If in your view that makes me any less of a Rovers fan, you are entitled to it. But I will not blindly follow something that is rotten to the core.

Btw, this would be the same media who were telling us all year what a paragon of dignity Steve Kean is and how he deserved Manager of the Year, right?

Also,

Wrong.

That's a REASON for not renewing. A very logical and sound one based on 18 months of being crapped on by those in charge of the club.

Renewing out of blind loyalty and force of habit. Now that's an EXCUSE.

Topman

Why is it always the non-season ticket holder slagging fans for renewing? It irks me to death. How can you have any idea of the emotion charged to this decision? You haven't even sampled the atmosphere of the past 18 months. Keep your opinions on this to yourself Topman, because you have no scope.

I have renewed, and I will carry on whoever is in charge/owns the club. What better reason to keep your seat, the chance to give the people in charge a piece of your mind. You may say it makes no difference, but I would argue that non-renewing makes more of a negative difference in terms of the town.

Why do you see your measly £200 funding Darth Rao and the evil empire? I see it paying the staff who's livelihoods depend on the club. Or the orders for the businesses around the town.

I see nobody ever mentions this in their arguments for a boycott.

...And the irony of saying the club is already "dead"... Surely non-renewal is a path to the "death" of the club..

You can have your opinions, if you can't stomach the ###### we've put up with, and will have to put up with - don't renew - But do not slag those that cannot see their lives without blue and white.

I will be here long after this tribe of wasters

Attack the argument, not the man. If I had been attending for 20+ years and made the same point, what would you do then? And don't say I wouldn't, because look around you. It would appear you're the one without any "scope".

You honestly want to pay just to go and watch a shambles of a team led by the club's most hated and inept manager, at a club run by crooks and charlatans, just so you can shout at a brick wall. What are your other past-times? Pissing in the wind?

And it's not a matter of trying to bleed Venky's dry, they obviously don't care what the fans think, it's about making a stand. I won't waste my breath explaining why, because you're clearly entrenched in whatever feeble excuses you need to justify supporting this absolute farce of a club. If you want to pay to be slapped in the face week in, week out, that's your call.

The difference in opinion I can take, especially when its built on knowledge and understanding. Some will believe the people renewing are funding the lunacy, others just purely cannot live without the team in their lives. I know which side of the fence I am on, but I would fully understand and not comment on people who choose not renew for the same reason you suggest.

However

Your opinion in terms of the good/the bad of renewing/non renewing is not worth reading. It would be the equivalent of asking a deaf bloke his opinion of the kaiser chiefs...

How can you lecture people on renewing? You will never be a ST holder, never have been, have no inkling to even attempt to get a seat. So when you formed this opinion, what did you have to give up?

Absolutley sod all.

Its a slant on non season ticket holders. If you don't go, what are you giving up by "non-renewal"? Nothing.

As a recent defector to the non-renewers I'm pretty adverse to bringing principles or which side is right and which is wrong into it. To me its resolved into a simple case of can you put up with Venkean and what they're doing to our club anymore? Those who can fair enough, those who can't fair enough. The straw that broke my back was Kean's ridiculous "moving forwards" speech right after we got relegated. I expected an apology, and that infuriating nonsense made me want to...actually better not say it!

I don't see how people attending does make a difference, fans voiced their opinion last season and it made no difference whatsoever. Take the Wigan game which sealed our fate, if that sort of vitriol and hatred happened at any other club the manager would have been sacked that evening or the following day at the latest.

Why do you see your measly £200 funding Darth Rao and the evil empire? I see it paying the staff who's livelihoods depend on the club. Or the orders for the businesses around the town.

If one person boycotts then sure that £200 wouldn't be much of a loss, but if 18,000+ decide to do it then that's a different matter entirely. Remember Rovers will get the parachute payments in instalments and the vast majority of it will be used up on wages leaving not much left for stuff like squad reinvestment. Without the premier league money a financial boycott could hit them really hard. On the town issue and jobs well the wreckless mismanagement of the club will have done that.

You can have your opinions, if you can't stomach the ###### we've put up with, and will have to put up with - don't renew - But do not slag those that cannot see their lives without blue and white.

If people want to renew that's their choice. I can't understand why anyone would want to give a single penny to a club that has told their fans, in essence the life blood of the club to go (Please don't use that word again) themselves but it's their money.

Again, you're not tackling my argument, you're trying to make it personal.

Give me a good, solid foundation for renewing this year other than "waaaa it's my choice, you dun understand!" So far you've said it gives you a chance to hurl abuse at the current incumbent. The people who don't give one brown nugget about the fans or their opinions.

Your opinion in terms of the good/the bad of renewing/non renewing is not worth reading. It would be the equivalent of asking a deaf bloke his opinion of the kaiser chiefs...

Bad analogy. You see, the deaf man has no sense of sound on which to form an opinion of the Kaiser Chiefs and the quality of their music. I, however, have seen more than enough in the past year to know that renewing a season ticket at Ewood Park is a fool's errand. Unless, of course, you can prove otherwise?

I bet the Venkys are glad there weren't in charge at the start of last season.

Otherwise you'd all have been taking the moral stance to not renew back then too. You know, when you were in the Premier League.

So when did they turn up then these Indian fellas? Reading posts on here I gather it was sometime at the back end of this season.

One thing you can't doubt is the strength of feeling you guys have. There's no way, absolutely none, that if they'd have been in charge at the start of a Premier League season, with £200 tickets, any of you would have renewed. It's the principle, afterall.

Nope, it's nothing to do with relegation or the championship. It's them indians.

Wum off.

S/T sales were down by circa 4,000 at the start of last season, but don't let that bother you. Even if we had stayed up, it would have been the same situation.

Dingles on the moral high ground- hilarious.
