Maybe an empty Ewood Park suits them.

No irksome protests, no great effect on income, no barracking for Wee Stevie, the hard man from the tough streets of Cumbernauld.

....... even less media attention so they can get away with ever more pillage......

I've just had a second post removed after suggesting a possible course of action to both hurt the Venky's brand and to make them feel that running this club is not worthwhile. One on this thread and one a good few weeks ago.

I do aplogise, I don't know what came over me. I forgot that we weren't proper football fans at all but a bunch of limp wristed fakes. That is, apart from a few genuine supporters who have been prepared to get off their arses and do something, albeit a minute (and I mean minute) percentage of our overall support.

When this sorry saga began to unfold many moons ago, I remember reading about the idea of sending e-mails to the Venky's to get them to see sense and now on this thread, the latest offering, a petition no less.

The club is being systematically raped and a stake is about to be rammed through its heart. But wait, e-mails and a petition. Yes, that's it. Why oh why didn't I think of that?

Clayton, what legal options are there that aren't already being discussed and that fans would join in with?

As youve already alluded, even protests - not only legal but one of our few rights - didn't get support from most people.

Pitch invasions are a no-no, in fact they'd play right into Kean's and Agnew's hands. I reckon they are HOPING fans will overstep the mark so they can prosecute and claim the moral high ground.

I bet they were GUTTED that there hasn't been a single public order offence, let alone arrest.

If you are suggesting people should put themselves in a position to get a criminal record, then you will definitely only appeal to a minority - it simply isn't worth that.

What we need is numbers. A simple match (again, I know) from the Town Hall (again, I know) but with thousands not hundreds. Maybe but even then, it's probably too late.

Now is the time to sit tight and hope that the likes of the Ians are working on a credible takeover bid, and the Action Group are turning the screw. Carrot and Stick.

It's a waiting game now I'm afraid.

An empty stadium speaks volumes ...

That cannot be spun by Kean and is cohorts.

Yes it can, he will pass the dwindling crowds off as a result of relegation and the fans not being loyal. I'm almost certain he will say that if questioned about it.

I won't type again what I think Stu, it'll just get removed.

You're right though, it's numbers that are required now and as you say thousands not hundreds. But do enough care? Folk will whinge and moan about current events at work or in the pub but would five thousand march from the Town Hall to Ewood or vice versa? I don't think so. We'd be lucky to get fifteen hundred to respond.

If less people are going to Ewood, less people are going to be inclined to take part in a march to Ewood - FACT. As we will be a scummy little championship team we will get even less media coverage too, so u have to wonder what the point of a march would be....

The trouble is, even if I could be convinced to join in a boycott for the first match, it will never be completely empty.

There will always be the staunch, stubborn types, the families, those who DO support Kean and Venkys (although I'm sure these must now be in a minority - although I'd like to hear Roversmum's current stance), and those who are simply ignorant to stuff like JA, etc (there are a lot of them about).

Unless it was down to a handful it really would be spun as a loyalty issue. It grieves me to think that I will be a pawn in Kean's game but that's the dilemma.

Even then though, if we do achieve it, an incredible spectacle - Would anyone really care...? Would anyone really feel embarrassed...? Would it change their approach...?

If we believe that they are in it for non-football reasons then, to put it bluntly...

No.

I wonder if the supporters who have bought ST's and by doing so confirmed their undimmed dedication and devotion to the owners and their methods might be prepared to move back after 10 mins and sit as far back as possible in whichever stand they choose to sit?

That way they'll be there but nobody watching telly (albeit for two mins in the small hours  ) will see them. All they'll see is empty seats.

As you are so generous in aligning the motives for buying a ticket to be a total loyalty to Venkys then you might as well not bother with the rest of your post. I don't read your mind nor can you read the mind of others. I certainly don't think anyone who has renewed will take any notice of you following your comments.

What a stupid post. My mother has bone marrow cancer of the pelvis and shoulder. She has supported since 1945 and been a season ticket holder for the last 30 years. I have renewed to be with her on match days as she wishes to continue going, not because I am in anyway happy with events at the club.

It has jack sh1t to do with "undimmed dedication and devotion to the owners and their methods". It has everything to do with care and devotion to my own family. This type of childish stupidity we can well do without and the only thing 'dim' is your comment above.

But why does she wish to continue to go. Does she know, or have you explained to her, what exactly is going on at our club.

So, my question to all the non-renewers, what on earth are you going to do on match days now???

Go and watch Stanley? Chorley perhaps? Chorley have just signed Simon Garner I believe, not 'that' one but a good player all the same.

Gonna do something that will bring me some satisfaction such as painting the fence, polishing the car, shopping with the Mrs, gardening and so on. Until Kean has gone I wont set foot near Ewood becasue he ALONE has killed my love of football and BRFC. 42 yrs of Blue and White faith have all but been destroyed in 19 months.

Watching paint dry is more entertaining than enduring Steve Kean's Blackburn Rovers, so I'm sure they'll find something.
