davulsukur Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 All they need to do is follow by stating that Kean is to be replaced and then some people might actually buy them. There would be plenty of tickets sold at those prices if they announced Kean had been sacked.

The Gull Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 According to the website the Blackburn End Lower is virtually sold out of season tickets, I assume they don't stick a lot of them on sale to season ticket holders as surely not that many have renewed?
Mercer Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 According to the website the Blackburn End Lower is virtually sold out of season tickets, I assume they don't stick a lot of them on sale to season ticket holders as surely not that many have renewed? Until a certain date, presumably 10 July now, all existing season ticket holders from 2011/12, have their seats reserved !!! Take a look post 10 July and I would imagine you will see over 20,000 available seats then !!!
OJRovers Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Agnew's first day back from his cruise? co-incidence? When's the save-your-seat deadline anyway?
Kettledrum Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Half season tickets may be an answer for many, particularly if Kean has finally been sacked by then and given the second half of the season's home fixtures. 'Big' games against Burnley, Blackpool and Leeds, as well as 'winnable' home games against Crystal Palace, Huddersfield, Peterborough, Bristol City, Charlton, and Forest It's very optimistic describing these as winnable home games. Who will we have left in the team to win the matches? Academy players? At the monment, nothing looks winnable.
broadsword Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 You have to remember that championship sides will probably see us as a big scalp, they'll be up for the fight. Our rubber dinghy men most certainly won't. "Scott Dann to reception please"
neophox Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 The lowest prices for season tickets only at £225 must be the lowest prices in division? And £85 for under 16? I read that Barnsleys cheapest season tickets cost £335? How come we can have so low season ticket prices?
Stuart Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Because we can't sell them. It's called supply and demand, neophox?
Backroom Tom Posted June 19, 2012 Backroom Posted June 19, 2012 I'd be fuming if I'd have rushed and given them my cash before the deadline
Mattyblue Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 Early bird offers at club's like ours just don't make sense. Who on earth will want a ST that they've paid say £40/50 more for than the mush sitting in the very next seat?!
Amo Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 "...universally-acclaimed policy of offering supporters the best value deal in football" If by "best value deal in football" you mean pat-downs, surrender-monkey football and a drunken lout on the touchline, sure!
thenodrog Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Early bird offers at club's like ours just don't make sense. Who on earth will want a ST that they've paid say £40/50 more for than the mush sitting in the very next seat?! Me! In the JW Upper Inner I paid 50 quid more than the bloke on my left on the other side of the steps cos he was classed as being in the JW Upper Outer. Sitting next to poor people never bothered me though.
UbuRoi Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 You have to remember that championship sides will probably see us as a big scalp, they'll be up for the fight. Get real.
barry_ Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I saw this posted in a comments section and wondered what people thought about the merits of the post... 'To be honest I'm getting a little tired of the "I'm never going to Ewood again" brigade. Yes it breaks my heart as a proper supporter to see whats happened to our once proud club, but these whingers need a reality check. We were very lucky to have a benefactor like Jack Walker, he put us in a position were we could over achieve for 20 years and that's what we did. Size of town, population type of town and the tv driven wealth around football since prem league was formed all equates to us fighting a looking battle Have all these Johnny Come Latelys forgotten being stood on the Blackburn end with gates around 6000 watching average to poor football? If we all walk away now , we,ll be back there faster than you imagine. Proper supporters do just that SUPPORT through thick and thin. For christs sake less than a tenner a game, not much more than a packet of fags. Yes have a moan, go on all the protests as I will, but remember this, football fortunes are short term, things can and will change quickly, but if you,re not there , how can you have a say in it? This is a plea from the heart of a Rovers fan who only wants the best for his beloved club as he has done for the last 38 years:- Support the players and the club and do all in your power to get rid of the owners and their sham of a management structure. We,ll all stand there and have a laugh at Burnleys 2000 home crowds back in 1987, but if you shun the club like you say you are going to, don,t look surprised if the tables are turned and we,re in their position within a few years. My plea may fall on some deaf ears and its their choice at the end of the day, but just be careful what you wish for are the only words of warning I'll hand out. Ben-2000 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Fuming?? Drama queen How is he a drama queen? The deal was renew before the end of April and save money... therefore they should now be at a higher price. Loyalty obviously means nothing to these idiots (unless your name is Steve Kean) and my 'blind loyalty' to watching Blackburn Rovers is now being tested to say the least.
Hughesy Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 How is he a drama queen? The deal was renew before the end of April and save money... Clubs often extend those periods, it's just ours took 7 weeks to make that decision. Not like your going to lose out on too much interest off your £225 is it. Getting boring now listening to it... If the clus dead etc (not aimed at u Ben) until they have gone then stop commenting about it on here, take your depression to a doctor instead.
Backroom Tom Posted June 19, 2012 Backroom Posted June 19, 2012 Fact is they lied to fans and took their money long before people needed to part with it in reality. And you really think people should only talk about things they are happy about?
Hughesy Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 No but saying 'it's dead to me etc' everyday, in more or less every topic gets abit boring. If its dead then leave it alone until it's no longer dead.
Sandiway Blue Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 In truth...........codswallop ......and some The reason I'm boycotting the club is because I DO care about the club! Once these shysters are gone I will be back at Ewood in a flash. But I cannot support a regime that is hell bent on destroying our club and rubbing our faces in it by doing so. KEAN OUT! VENKYSCUM OUT!
Mercer Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Fact is they lied to fans and took their money long before people needed to part with it in reality. And you really think people should only talk about things they are happy about? Absolutely, nail on head. If I had chosen to renew my tickets, and done so under Early Bird rather than early July, I would have foregone approx £20 interest on my handful of tickets. A shambles, just like everything with our club at the moment. Wonder what odds you can get on a gate of less than 10,000 for first game of the season !?!?
rigger Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Absolutely, nail on head. I should think Ipswich will be expecting more than 10,000
Ossydave Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Some people actually seem a bit upset that they HAVEN'T put the prices up 30% or whatever it was being quoted by the not-so-itk, so lets all moan about the earlybird being extended shall we? ZzzZzzzZzzzz
