People are never going to speak about them in a positive light now, regardless of what they do. Of course they have brought this all upon themsleves though.
Mercer Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I want your interest rate! £2k*3.7% pa*3months is about £20. If you can't get 3.7% net then your money aint working for you!
ABBEY Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Of all the things our owner have done, this isn't one to criticise. It's £30 cheaper than at Stanley! DONT GIVE A FLYING IF ITS THREE MILLION CHEAPER THAN BARCA!!!! VENKYS OUT KEAN OUT
gumboots Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Those who rushed out to renew were warned by others not to do it and to make them sweat as they would probably extend the deal anyway if not enough renewed. Only yourselves to blame if you've bought them already - wait till the last possible moment if you feel you have to renew.

Only yourselves to blame if you've bought them already - wait till the last possible moment if you feel you have to renew. Have to say I can't see your point. The price remains the same, we haven't lost any money - well about £6.50 in interest - the bill was paid when I had cash rather than when I won't after the summer hols. I have my tickets and nothing to bother about. So what was I warned about that has now put me in a worse position?
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I fail to see what is good about these prices. They stayed the same after we got relegated to a league TV companies consider to be 1/15th as valuable as the premiership, wow I'm impressed! (note: extremely heavy sarcasm) If Venkys had actually increased prices after systematically destroying the club and everything good about it, they would have entered the record books as the first family in history able to survive to adulthood a level of insanity defined by people who eat themselves before puberty. So it seems they're not quite that deranged, big whoop. What applied a week ago applies now. They will relegate us from this league, it will be horrific, Steve Kean will tell us repeatedly how great it is. £225? No thanks.

The cost isn't the issue. I probably spent that on a single trip to Leverkusen, and would do again if I could, I enjoyed every last penny, that's great value. £225 to get Venkys and Kean isn't.

I renewed right at the start like I always do and yes, I can afford to lose the small amount of interest available and still be ok to make good on my pledges to BRSIT when needed. Fairly irrelevant warning when it relates to losing out on the price of a couple of pints ........

That's fine - all i'm saying is that people complaining about the cost staying the same don't really have a leg to stand on because the likelihood was that prices would stay the same. if you were happy to play when you had the cash and won't have it later then that's entirely your choice and I don't blame you for making it. however, what's the point in complaining that prices have remained the same as some have done when you had a choice as to whether you bought them then or waited to see with the risk that they might go up but the likelihood that they would stay the same.

Fairly irrelevant warning when it relates to losing out on the price of a couple of pints ........ No I haven't renewed and currently have no intention of doing so. if i change my mind later I'm quite happy to pay more if necessary, because it will mean that Venkys and kean have gone and as I've said several times, if the cost of getting rid of them is paying a bit more on my ticket price then I'll do it. I have no issue with those that have renewed; I have no issue with people making the choice to renew early if that's what they wanted to do. As I said my issue is with those who are moaning that prices haven't yet gone up, when it really was your choice to renew early, knowing that you could, if it suited you better, afford to wait, with the probaility that you would not be asked to pay more if the owners hadn't gone.

Will you see a point should the club cease to exist and not fulfill it's fixtures Paul? I've said frequently that imo that might be a nightmare scenario but is a distinct possibility.
Paul Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Will you see a point should the club cease to exist and not fulfill it's fixtures Paul? I've said frequently that imo that might be a nightmare scenario but is a distinct possibility. If you are talking about losing the cost of my STs that is not a problem. Paid by credit card, the credit card company will be jointly liable etc. I'm very aware you have frequently advised us of the nightmare scenario. I think I first mentioned it in November last year so yes I understand that point as well. I though don't find it necessary to remind the world on a regular basis. If you had something else in mind please let me know.
Paul Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 As I said my issue is with those who are moaning that prices haven't yet gone up That's fair enough though I must admit I hadn't noticed people complaining prices have not increased - bizarre really but then everyone needs something to moan about Myself I find it easier to ignore football for the time being other than a brief browse of the MB. The reality is nothing has changed in weeks, there is nothing new to discuss and is unlikely to be until the Raos wrongdoings are exposed. Sadly I think the likelihood if this happening decreases by the day, they may know nothing about how to run a football club but they can't be criticised for their ability to hand out a decent amount of hush money!! Given the current position moans about STs not being increased are hardly surprising.

Paul Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I take it religious leaders arent allowed in then? Christians would probably be OK.
Mercer Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 £2k, where you sitting the Emirates? How much do you think a handful of tickets actually costs ?
davulsukur Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Nice to see them extend the early bird offer and then let Shabba go on sky shortly after and announce Kean is staying. I imagine the ticket office staff are overwhelmed........with returns.
