damo100 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I simply cannot force myself to watch Rovers whilst Coco is still there!!! the hurt he and Venkys have caused has gone far too deep for me, i am disgusted by the guy!!! absolutely despise the man!! IF and when he goes i'm sure it will be the biggest celebration we hav seen in Blackburn since we won the Prem in 95!!!

Backroom Tom Posted June 23, 2012 Backroom Posted June 23, 2012 It's funny I've had no inclination to go since the end of the season but with the talk of players coming in and the fixtures being announced and the slim chance we may make a go of it rather than make a mockery of the fans it makes me think I'll miss it if I don't go. Still until I see real signs of change I think I'll be staying away from home games
gumboots Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Hold fast to your determination because of course they are hoping you will weaken. Wait until you start seeing the departures of our decent players. At the moment you're seeing the good bit but remember it doesn't matter who comes in while kean is manager - we'll still be rubbish.

Why is it that you think our good players should stay? We have been relegated and our prem quality players will leave, even if we get a new manager in.
gumboots Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Who said our good players shouldn't leave? I fully expect them to and don't blame them.what I did say was that the exciting bit, fixtures and new players is now but then they'll let decent players go after the ticket offer ends and that will be the bad bit but they will hope you've got your ticket by then and won't want to send it back.
Backroom DE. Posted June 23, 2012 Backroom Posted June 23, 2012 For anybody currently putting off buying a season ticket due to the state of the club... Kean leaving should be the minimum before any reconsideration is done. Doesn't matter who we get in otherwise, as long as baldrick is manager we're not going anywhere fast.
Veevs Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 We know what will happen though.. Jan window part 2.. wait until season starts and sale on STs ends then flog every tom dick and harry.
Ben-2000 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Has anyone bought a Season Ticket in the Darwen End since they went back on sale? Got mine in April, but have since heard rumours they may end up not opening it... and so far i've been unable to get it clarified by the club.

Unfortunately for you, it would make good business sense not to open it, and save on the staff and stewarding costs. My guess is that gates next season will be around 7k, and there is more chance of the away fans filling the upper and lower of the darwen end than of the Rovers fans filling all of the rest of the ground.

Can't see many 5k followings, never mind 7 tbh... we'll have to wait and see I guess, but the unreserved element of it has brought a lot of fans together vocally, a lot (but not all) I have spoken to intend on renewing so it would be a big shame to lose that.
Paul Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 This is nothing personal against Paul, but I sometimes read his posts and want to get the razor blades out.I agree that the Raos have succeeded in turning fan against fan, and that's not nice to see. I only hope that this nightmare is over soon, but conceivably we could have a decade of it in front of us. I know it's not personal Bryan and I'm sorry if that is the effect. I feel we must be realistic and need any one of three things to happen: Raos to change their approach radically Raos to sell to new owners The PL, FA, other "authorities" to step in or for a media outlet to expose wrongdoing All the arguments and discussions have been endlessly worked and re-worked and I'm not going to bother with those other than this. The first won't happen, the second is highly unlikely as there is no financial justification. The third is our only hope and I'm hoping BRAG give us something today. However, and this is not a pop at Glen et al, I doubt this will happen. Three reasons for this: A working men's club isn't the venue for such revelations BRAG will report meetings have taken place but revealing detail would harm the case I know many who have rumour / reports of wrong-doing and each is a person who I believe and respect BUT no one has yet discovered hard evidence. If the rumours are true someone would have blown the whistle by now. So I conclude this: Nothing illegal has occurred Illegal activity is so well covered it can't be found No one with influence cares enough to investigate thoroughly I'm sorry if people find the view deeply pessimistic. I simply feel its the truth and instead of grasping at every straw I try to accept our position and get on with my life. By believing nothing will change I cannot be any more disappointed than I already am

desperaterovers Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 people are buying tickets since they went on sale and i believe you wont get confirmation regarding the darwen end until Paul Agnew comes into post....
Stuart Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Bringing Murphy in so early seems a cynical tactic to push more sales.
LDRover Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 No point buying midfielder after midfielder when you consider how many goals we concede. Especially when you can expect Givet and Dann to go this summer.

Especially when you can expect Givet and Dann to go this summer. Why can you?? Dann is crap, so I hope your right.....but Givet has already gone public and said he would be willing to stay on new terms.....of which Kamy has confirmed the club plan to discuss with him.

Ben Sumner Bit of info for you - there are indeed issues regarding the Darwen End for next season which are trying to be resolved. After the conversation I have had I am in no doubt that our corner is being fought here and we should know more by next week. looks like Kean and his gang are going to stop the darwen end from opening.

If they know less people are going to go it makes sense to pack everyone else in to one stand. Aside from reducing some costs it will look better on Television if there are no large gaps between supporters.

IF (and they don't) they cared about how it looks from TV then having the riverside shown with the people walking out 10 minutes from the end is not the greatest advertisement.
gumboots Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 besides which, how often will we really be on tv with anybody watching? Not like MOTD when we occasionally got on earlier in the show. Any league coverage doesn't start till after the big boys have had their turn except for the odd televised match.
desperaterovers Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 only around 370 season tickets have been sold in the darwen end....
