Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

John, the crazy thing about your link is that i read the headline without looking at the date and I wasn't at all shocked to think he'd said it today.

If we somehow manage to survive this season i guarantee the man will be talking about a push for Europe in the close season.

If we manage to survive I will be most surprised ....It is nothing to do with Kean , that other teams won today ...I maybe be callous in saying that Boltons chances of staying up improved significantly after the events of White Hart Lane but it is TRUE..Mark Hughes a far superior manager to our clown ,Martinez plays football good young players could go down .. My 3 for the drop Wolves , Rovers and Wigan ..

What it is true , Kean is taking this wonderful football club down , he nearly did against all odds last year...He will suceed this term or next ,,,

he'll do his usual and say anything from united is a bonus then we have a winnable game against WBA. He's more than happy to dismiss the opposition in public the famous winnable 3 games we went on to lose all 3 of. IF he publically dismisses the WBA match as winnable in the post match interview against united he wants a slap.

Fergie and Roy in the next 2 matches, in managerial terms on paper we've no chance.

Just hang around a few weeks !!!!

I love how the guy even accepts Kean's abysmal record and shady circumstances surrounding his appointment and yet would still let him shag his wife. Bizarre.

I suggest , he hangs around a few weeks before writing his next master piece !

A couple of months later, in a late-night hotel bar, Kean had a bizarre exchange with a television reporter. He ended up telling the reporter's cameraman he had lovely hair.

 creepy little man.

Roll up.roll up.Here's another one:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/mar/31/blackburn-steve-kean-indignity?

A bit of balance but we are painted as red-necks.

You would hope that if someone who has no connection with Rovers read that article they would think that the Rovers protests actually have/had some genuine reason behind them. Although the article leads the reader to think that the protest sre still on at full speed.

But that is not what the article is about - it's preparing the way for Rovers relegation from the PL at which time the protesters will be crucified in the press and blamed for the relegation and Kean will be blameless.

How much does this sort of press coverage cost? why are they doing it even in the Guardian?

One of the benefits of living outside the UK is not having to pay money to read this garbage in hard copy and realising that the average journo is a piece of crap and beneath contempt.

Er... You do realise we have the Internet here too, right...?:D

You are spot on about where the blame will be laid by the press though. Most journos will dance on our grave when we are relegated. The jealously from '95 is palpable.

###### to them it's our club, not theirs. We'll decide who's fit to own and manage us, not them.

Another one in the " Guardian's " sister paper the " Sunday Observer " ( sorry, can't do links ). The article itself is pretty even handed, spelling out the usual litany of complaints most Rovers fans have laid at Kean and Venkies door. Then finally comes down on Keans side. You couldn't make it up.

So... According to the Guardian, to be 'dignified' you just need to avoid having a go at your club's supporters in public.

Scheming to get the job, favours to agents, drink driving, lying under oath and a rebuke from the Judge, confrontations in hotels are all signs of 'dignity'.

Surprised the situation with Salgado never got much coverage back in late December.

Salgado regarded as the ultimate professional, legend within the game, basically accused the manger of the year of lying (saying he was injured).

Also Paul Hunt, on the radio recently, didn't really clarify.

Just one example of things getting swept under the carpet.

I think the bit that has upset and angered so many fans is his blatant play acting to the press and the deflection of any responsibility in regards to how the team play or what has happened behind the scenes, it is subtle in its own way comments like how the team have improved now the protests (as such all poor results are the fans fault) are over and how so many fans back him when these polls show just how much they don't, everything he does is to push the blame onto the fans or others. One minute the papers are all calling him deluded for his comments the next he is dignified despite just passing the blame onto others.. to me a key part of being dignified is being worth of respect and accepting ones faults and responsibilities and he is one chap who never will.

Same here but then again I would imagine JA, SEM and Kentaro sitting there pulling strings to get the support in the papers, simple game they can play.. you give our manager at blackburn stick and we won't give you any exclusives with any of the rest of our clients.

Same thing should be said of the Emerton, Diouf, Super Keith, Roberts, Kalinic, Simon, Nelsen.. situations, have never been a huge fan of the likes of Roberts and Andrews but something smells funny about how they left esp Nelsen who has always been a top professional IMO... Fully expect to see some more disappear with a whimper come the summer.

I wonder how many papers and managers will be singing his praises when we drop into the bottom three again on Monday night ? Having said that - it has been such a strange season for unusual results wouldn't be surprised if we won - or they stuffed us by 4 or 5 goals
