Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

In reality, I don't think even under a proper manager we could have hoped to Phil Jones much longer than we did, Kalinic, well I was happy to see the back of, not like the Yak is inferior, bit gutted about Emerton and EHD though- both good experienced servants (particularly Emerton) who could play in a variety of positions.

I always look at where players go on to and what they do there. Emo by all acoounts is showing his age in the A league, EHD is at the bottom of the Championship, Jones was always going and Kalinic is in an inferior league, just like where he came from. Salgado was clearly past it this season; Orr and the young lad have both been at least as good at RB as either Salgado or Emo. Nelsen on the bench at a top 4 club is the only eyebrow-raising departure imo. The collective loss of experience is the issue of course, but it's hardly stop the presses stuff. The notion that the press will ever get interested in BRFC fans' gripes is fanciful; that cake seems to have got baked firmly in Kean's favour and won't be unbaked anytime soon, if ever.

I'd agree with this. Ironically, the two players I would have liked to keep (Emo and EHD) are doing pretty poorly in their teams, but the players I thought weren't contributing enough to our team (Andrews and Roberts) have proved rather inspirational for their new teams.

Out of all the departures, Nelsen is the only truly eyebrow-raising one. Samba and Nelsen were one of the best central defensive partnerships in the league and to lose both players is a huge blow.

The only positive from Kean making his excuses is that it suggests he's looking to escape with his 'reputation' intact. To blame that fans for relegation and stay would be beyond stupid (so don't rule it out completely).

Therefore I'm prepared to read the papers with Kean slagging Rovers fans off - hell maybe even with a wry smile on my face - if it means it's his parting shot.

He's never publically slagged off the fans and he never will.

He does it by proxy through his Agent, pundit pals and planted stories like that.

We'll see. I expect an emotional exposé into "My 2 Year Hell".

I live in hope.

Kean is always dragging his wife and family into this yet it is well known they live in Surrey (a sackable offence in itself) . Now I might be wrong here but I doubt Mrs Kean has been to Ewood or Blackburn many times (if at all) and certainly not to dine with her beloved hubby so where was this mythical restaurant and why with his unpopularity in the town would he take the risk ?

Now I've only seen one picture of Mrs Kean and it was as the team landed in Pune. She couldn't have looked more miserable if she had tried. Whether the thought of being couped up with her husband for a week instead of enjoying her usual routine etc in Southend was irritating her I've no idea but any ill feeling from her cannot have been down to BRFC fans*.

You've forgotten Samba.

Seems to me like any player who might have stood up to Kean has been despatched no matter how much they might be needed. I've no real problem with that (apart from the timing under serious threat of relegation as we are) except that his management decisions imo have been down to quick profit (not certain for who yet <_< ) rather than for footballing reasons much less for the future good of BRFC.

BRFC has been an accident waiting to happen. After trying unsuccessfully for years to get rid the Trust ended up selling too cheaply in order to get rid and opportunist vultures from the shadows spotted their opportunity to move in and feast on the carcass.

Can you share that pic or provide a link to view it?

How low can football fans go?

I sense an Agnew planted story.

If you are reading this, feck off back to PNE, they could do with someone with your undoubted PR skills at the minute.

How low can UK new rags go in churning our the same bullsh1t. Almost the same story was out quite a few weeks ago. Why now? Well Kean and Agnew must be expecting a hammering by ManU so its ''cheap'' press with no research for the Kean sympathy vote. Quite pathetic and Coco sinks lower into his self-created crap.

Probably a broken record statement this but how can he not only just ignore all the fans grievences against him but actually state he thinks we is backing him. Just unbelievable. Its would be a positive if he could acknowlage the fans rather than just deliberatly try to create ill feeling, which will surface tonight on sky - and guess who will come out smelling of roses

Since he's publicly stated that he's happy to receive post and emails to his personal addresses, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a few people on here sending him some more fan mail to his email address:

steve.kean@rocketmail.com

(definitely legit)

Just got a reply, what makes you think this email is legit?

A friend (ie a proper friend, not a friend of a friend) got a reply from Kean.

He sent a faux fan letter to test the legitimacy of the address and got a genuine reply back from Weasel Boy - I'll see if I can work out how to post it on here.

What response did you get?

Player who has been agitating for move for years gets move shock horror. Again, look at where he has gone. No team here better than us was willing to pay the transfer fee commensurate with the wages we were paying him. For years now we've been over-paying for players who only go down when they leave us. Of course I wouldn't necessarily have tackled the problem so quickly and when we are only games away from being relegated, but it had to be tackled sometime by someone.

Your mate's faux letter could be the reason for his 'letters and emails of support' nonsense!
