[Archived] The all new Super Steve 'Coco' Kean Thread!

Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

I wonder if those inside the club- Agnew, Hunt really get the situation.

Are they that institutionalised they actually believe such statements as the 'majority are behind what we are trying to do'? And that Kean is a good manager who has been treated badly by a minority of insolent supporters?

Or are they pulling their hair out that Venky's are making such a hash of things?

I fear it's the former.

For the first time in 40 years I was in Blackburn (well Darwen) last night but couldn't be bothered to go.

There is no point anymore, even if you have paid.

I will return...but only when they have all gone.

Is this legal? Or against prem rules? Ie weakened team? Not trying to win ?

Or was it simply not wanting to upset his best pal SAF?

Yes I know.......very cynical.

Alway's been one of Robbo's weaknesses, unable to get down quick and often dives backwards. To be fair it was a pearler of a shot, wouldnt have expected it and probably saw it late due to the speed and power.

No one was more surprised than Valencia when that went in. It was meant to be a cross. I was right behind him when he hit it. No wonder Robbo was wrong footed.

Kean & Venky's truly are a match made in heaven.

The only spineless sycophant in the football pyramid who would tolerate having his team selection budgeted every week.

Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Kean and Venkys suit each other very well, shame it had to be at our club though.

Sad to say it but with Venkys/Kean at the club, what player in their right mind would want to join? They are hardly going to get a glowing recommendation from Nelsen, Salgado, Roberts or any of the squad who don't feature for 'unknown budget reasons'

We couldn't even get Zenden off his sofa for a 2 month deal, not looking promising for summer if there aren't changes.

Oh I don't know was looking at the SEM website today and they have some good young players, believe our manager knows the owner perhaps he might bring a few of them in next year . There was a news headline story about one young player called Myles who scored his first goal for Blackburn Rovers, even got a video of it on the page My link. The future looks bright!

Weird isn't it? The first match that I saw at Ewood way back in the early 60's was a 2-2 draw with Man Utd and it crossed my mind that last night could be the last time to watch BRFC play MU at Ewood in my lifetime and sad to say I simply couldn't be bothered. Thank you the slumdog millionaires.

If we stay up, are we going to see a fresh batch of:

"Venky's need to sack Kean, hire a proven manager and invest in the squad!"

I'd like to think the penny has dropped for us fans by now.

as cunning as a fox who has a degree in cunning at the cunning fox university!!!

Great suggestion for a chant--------"Eric Black's Blue and White Army"!! From an LT reader.

Even the papers couldn't say we were not 100% behind the team could they?

My father summed it up quite well after the match monday night. "Sick of it" and that its not worth getting upset about anymore as there is nothing any one of us can do and I wholeheartedly praise the efforts of Glen, Simon and Wayne but realistically I have come to the conclusion that its a lost cause. As long as the venkatons are in charge, kean will forever remain!! They are the ultimate trolls!

I will always support Rovers but while Kean is in charge - I cant honestly justify spending money to go see Rovers. It is such a sad thing!

Same sentiments except that I'm half around the globe. Can't believe how apathetic i feel towards the team nowadays. I probably get more emotions watching a "neutral" match than watching Rovers nowadays. Never felt like this since watching my first Rovers game on TV in 92. In fact, i already decided to cancel my cable subscription for next season regardless of whether we stay up or not.

I was surprised how quickly the ground started to empty after Utd scored their second goal. I have never seen the Blackburn End leave in such numbers before the end of a game. It was just like everyone has given up.

I have no doubt no matter what happens I will only be one of thousands of long term season ticket owners (20+ years for me) who will not renew.

I just can't keep giving money to people who have destroyed OUR club.

And that applied on the pitch as well. I was disgusted :angry2: at how little effort to get the ball away from the opposition the players seemed to make after we went 0-2 down. We seemed content to allow them to play keep-ball, without a thought that, if we could nick a goal back, it would help our goal difference, which could be vital at the end of the season.

Well; you can certainly add my name and 7 others to that list, Kendalrover.

There are 6 of us who've come to Ewood, week in week out, irrespective of which Division we're in, since long before the last time we lost to Burnley, together with 2 lads who've been born since the Dingles last beat us.

These days, 6 of that group of 8 live at least 30 miles from Blackburn but despite that, we've all continued to turn up regularly.

Until this season, that is. From talking to most of these lads on Monday, we may not see one of them again at Ewood and the remainder of of us are going to decline the "Early Bird offer" and any further effort by Rovers to induce us to get season tickets for 2012/13.

The thing is after listening to the farce that was the radio Lancs so called phone in (4 callers?) with Hunt, Agnew these people will just flannel it to the press again slagging off our own fans. They will just turn a blind eye again to peoples concerns and make out we are not real fans and terrible supporters, so expect serious flak from all corners of the football world again when these 2 along with Kean start their spin again
