  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

'The players trust me implicitly. I said there won't be relegation, so that becomes gospel. Unconditional trust. It's nice. Mutual. Likewise. Reciprocated. My only worry is that the fans don't come down here, pop their head round the door with their rulebook and go 'Oh, hold on, what's going on here? These people are mucking around whilst getting the job done, they're having a laugh at work with the with the Sword of Damocles hanging over them. This isn't in the rule book. Who's in charge?' SAVAGE: KEAN'S DIGNITY SEALS THE DEAL

I'm beginning to fear for my old club Blackburn again after they dropped back into the relegation zone on Monday night.

Only a couple of weeks ago they were five points clear of trouble and Steve Kean's performance was making a mockery of the fans who have spent half the season calling for his head.

Whatever happenes to Rovers now, I believe Kean has earned the right to stay in charge - because he handled the protests and threats to his safety with such dignity.

And he has certainly made me change my opinion of him as a manager after the way he has brought out the best in young players such as Junior Hoilet, Steve N'Zonzi, Jason Lowe and Grant Hanley.

But they need to step it up again for the run-in, starting at West Bromwich Albion tomorrow.

Savage: Kean must go

After saying Blackburn "forfeited" their Carling Cup defeat at Cardiff, it's time for Steve Kean to step down.

The fans deserve a refund, his players deserve an apology and Kean deserves to go.

It may have been a clumsy and badly-chosen phrase but it is the final straw for a club which is in crisis and going down fast.

I don't blame Kean for taking the job. I'd do so as well if I was offered the change to manage a Premier League club.

And I don't blame him for accepting a pay rise last week either, though I can't see what he's done to deserve it.

But the results are down to him and the squad is down to him too.

Managers deserve to stay in charge when they generate good results for their employers on the pitch and handle club affairs professionally off the pitch. Simple as that.

Nothing to do with drink driving, lying, recruiting body-guards, smirking through pressers and blatantly ignoring the bleeding obvious.

Savage is a moron for those comments. I had a lot of respect for him as a player here and I thought he was the one voice of reason for us in the media, but like the rest of the country he has been totally suckered in by Kean's PR machine. I'm actually disgusted at the frequency and offhand ease these 'threats' to Kean's safety are mentioned, despite no arrests or police orders against fans WHATSOEVER. It's all based on ONE comment over Twitter. And regardless of that, he thinks Kean should stay even IF WE'RE RELEGATED!

What an absolute blonde tart he is.

Tell you what you have to give Agnew and Kean some credit here, the way they've manipulated the media and managed to get seemingly the entire football fraternity onside is remarkable.

It's good to know that both are good at something....

I've been away recently but got several texts last Sunday regarding Moyes comments on goals on Sunday. I was told he basically said the fans had no idea, removing the manager wasn't the right thing to do and followed that up with:

'Just look where they are now'!

Yes David 1 place above the relegation zone until the United beat us on Monday, and in deep trouble!

How the hell do these people keep getting away with spouting utter bunkum week in week out.....

Once more the fans made to look the fools, just how long will people take this utter nonsense. Our club is in terminal decline under his tenure but the media once more 'bigging' him up...when will the truth be outed.?

He's portrayed as the victim, the good old mutineered captain of the ship trying to fend of the Rovers pirate fans, all this despite the overwhelming and damning evidance for all to see.

I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW HE'S MANAGED TO DO IT,I REALLY DONT!

So he's gone from someone you respect to a "blonde tart" based on one opinion which, I also don't agree with?

I think the point with Savage is that of all pundits, he's the one that should have a clue and not be spewing drivel.

I guess but it's nothing something bad enough to change your opinion of him.

He should be more aware but I think he still has a strong bond with the club, even if his opinions on this topic are sightly strange.

Also I noticed Shearer saying he hope we survive, a nice touch. I thought he didn't care about us?

I think it needs to be accepted that the PR war has been decisively lost, unneccessarily so imo, rather than heap insults on every ex-Rover who gives their opinion.

They deserve it for their flip flopping. They were all giving him pelters in December pre 'that night', now we are still in a massive hole, but he's seen as doing a good job?

But without doubt you are correct, we have been done up like a kipper on the PR front.

All the ones I have seen have referred to him doing a better job than before and how he didn't let the abuse bother him. None of them are evaluating his total reign and all the stuff that has upset the fans, and why should they, they aren't fans. Tbh, the slagging off of ex-heroes who give their honest opinions just adds to the perception that Rovers fans are closed-minded, bigoted yobs, which has been at the root of the PR disaster all along.

IN Kean I trust...

Simply because players have been signed behind his back, he's done well with decsions being made left right and centre above his head, players are playing for Kean and not Venkys...

Like it or not football is a business and we were being run as a fantasy before, we are now operating with costs at a fraction than before. We were going to suffer in the long term with the new Fifa rule coming in and I believe the hard nosed transformation orchestrated by venkys had to happen sooner rather than later.

Kean has handled this transformation superbly and deserves his chance at least until the end of the season.

Perception with who? Rovers fans are known for two things, that night against Bolton, that Yakubu celebration. I'm sure the wider game has no knowledge of who gets slagged off on brfcs.com

They ARE evaluating his whole reign, every pundit I have heard are saying how he's turned it around and is doing a good job, not that he is doing slighlty better than before.
