  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

So just to sum up then for old Stevie, Braddock and any Venkys lurkers on here just how most fans of Blackburn Rovers view our current manager and what we will be telling future generations: Steve Kean is widely thought of as an arrogant, manipulative, devious, possibly psychopathic, incompetent, monumental failure who is more disliked than any previous Rovers manager. The 'dignity' issue is laughable. I'm with some of the other posters above - what's to be lost in getting rid right now? Unless it would spoil the 'masterplan', of course.

No doubt that there have been mistakes and alot of them. But this interview actually makes me feel a little more positive. Maybe im just an optimistic fool ;-)

You're an optimistic fool! :D

All the questions that could have been asked in that interview and yet the media continues to run with the 'poor Steve Kean' angle.

WE ARE SITTING IN THE BOTTOM THREE ON THE VERGE OF RELEGATION AND FINANCIAL RUIN, WE ARE OWNED BY THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF CROOKS THAT HE'S UP TO HIS NECK WITH, HE'S THE WORST MANAGER IN THE CLUB'S HISTORY, HE'S BEEN A COMPLETE FAILURE, HE'S WON 12 GAMES OUT OF 54, ALL HIS PROMISES, BIG TALK OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL AND MAJOR SIGNINGS HAS TURNED OUT TO BE COMPLETE B*LLSH*T AND HE CONTINUES TO FACE THESE POWERPUFF, SYMPATHY FILLED INTERVIEWS WHICH DON'T ASK ONE SINGLE DIFFICULT QUESTION OF HIM?! IT'S A F**K**G DISGRACE!

He's doing a fine job in the eyes of Venky's,the puppett on a string has done exactly as he was told..the 'masterplan' couldn't have gone better.

While we fans hold our heads in our hands as the club burns, this moron pontificates to the media as if he were a God.It's as if he's in total denial of the current dire situation..he's not a full shilling.

Grrrrrrr :angry2:

I just watched it. It's Steve Kean promotional video with some ponce from Sky (?). No way was that 'off the cuff'.

He didn't even laugh off the ''Manager of the Year'' bit.

IF we stay up the futures bright (according to Coco) but no mention of what happens when we get relegated.

ALL fans should watch this - it will reinforce your views on this failed footballer and failed manager. He's so far up his own arse I don't know he's got time for the Fat Lady.

Just keep a paper bag near as the squeamish may well chuck up.

Maybe Its just because Im naive and desperately want Rovers to progress. If what hé says about our finances being stable is true then it could be a different story next season. IF we survive in the premiership. I still dont get why Venkys havent been open about their plans though. Maybe because they have been misquoted.

Disgusting and despicable. Thats how I view Kean.

That is not an interview of any substance. Not once is the current situation at the club addressed nor is his own pathetic performance and results questionned. The fool is clearly delusional. s136 Mental Health Act me thinks !

Let's see 54 games and 50 points. Average well down from last season's near disaster. I think your self assessment is honest and accurate!

Hard to know what to think anymore, his sky interview is a joke really.

But he most probably knows his job is safe so what does he care where we finish or what the fans think of him.

His long term goal is to up his own pr to get a tv job.

We are def going down after the last couple of weeks and in a whimper it looks like.

If he is still here next season when we are in the championship then god help us.

Exactly right.

Kean cannot lose. We somehow fluke staying up, another year as a 'Barclays Premier League manager' on his CV.

We go down, the fans and Venky's get the blame.

He continues with his 'candid interviews', the media love a talkative manager and if he ever does finally leave BRFC, gigs on SEM friendly Sky Sports beckon.

He is on easy street, if it was at another club, I'd have to admire the blinder he's played.

Would personaly of gone for narcissist rather than Psychopath (although there is plenty of crossover).. would fit with his attitude and his approach to critisism more appropriatly, over inflated self worth, reacts badly to critisism (as would be shown with his treatement of anyone at the club who had the audacity to fight back.. diouf, JW, SW, JR, Nelsen, Kalinic et al), unemotional, lack of empathy, unrealistic fantasies, self denial and takes advantage of others to reach his own goals.

Sadly expect him to around next season not matter what, don't think Venkys will sell until they have their money back and some extra for the effort.. and don't think they will be willing to fork out for his redundancy packet. Expect us to just survive next season in the championship after selling pretty much every player that anyone else is willing to pay for and releasing anyone who does not re-enforce Keans personal feelings of self worth.

I personally enjoyed around 1minute 17seconds into Kean's sky interview. A rough transcript follows:

interviewer: how do you cope? I don't see any signs of a cat to kick!

Kean: nope, no. We don't have a cat. Or a dog.

Now if you look at that frame, although the background is out of focus, any dog owner will tell you the yellow box to the bottom right of Kean's head is actually Pedigree Dog biscuit food for adults aged 3+.

Didn't he also do an interview a while ago where he mentioned walking his dogs to relieve stress?

It's the obvious lies I enjoy the most.

Another Steve Kean loves himself, and aren't the fans really nasty to me, interview.

Is there no journalist worth his salt ever going to ask him a decent question?

Anyway nice to know struggling this season is all part of the plan, and that all the talk about European football and signing Ronaldinho was just misquoted.

He really think that the fans are thick, and don't remember what he has said previously. I'm pretty convinced it was timed to appear on Sky when the Venkys were in the UK.

Wonder how they can make ANY budgetary decisions when they don't know what income we will have next season.

“They’ve got a much better in-depth knowledge of the whole league now,” he said.

“They don’t just watch our games, they watch all the other games that are on live, they know all the players in the Premier League and they know the intensity of it because I was trying to explain to them that when you take a place from Spain or France that it can take a little bit of time for them to adjust.

“And they don’t just watch English football, they watch Spanish and Italian football as well.

“They’re very successful business people. They do want European football but it wasn’t this year. It was making sure we were in a very stable position financially, which we are now, making sure we survive this season because of the way we’ve had to refinance the club.

knocks you sick reading that.......

I actually hate Kean.

I don't think I've ever cared enough about something to legitimately hate someone before, but I actually hate Kean.

What a horrid, despicable and pathetic excuse for a man he is.

“We’ve promoted a lot of young players through and that’s a part of the transformation we’re making.

“I still think in years to come they would like to see a successful team move up the league and there’s no reason why we can’t be attempting that.

“If you’re only trying to survive each year, they’re not that type of people, they want to be successful and for the club to move forward.

“We all want that and I’m convinced we can do that.”

Why did I just waste 5 mins of my dinner break - I actually feel thicker for reading that

"making sure we survive this season because of the way we’ve had to refinance the club."

That's an incredibly ominous statement and should leave a lot of us feeling very concerned about what happens when we go down.

Completely agree with him on that. We have cut the wage bill and are in a better financial position. The fans complained of the owners not knowing "the game". To be fair to them, they have gone away and watched loads of games, from Spain and France too! Fair play to them.

Can't wait for European football in next few years.
