Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

Completely agree with him on that. We have cut the wage bill and are in a better financial position. The fans complained of the owners not knowing "the game". To be fair to them, they have gone away and watched loads of games, from Spain and France too! Fair play to them.

Can't wait for European football in next few years.

playing in Europe this Saturday Swansea away..already played in Europe this season Cardiff away the night Coco forfeited the game :wstu:

“They’re very successful business people. They do want European football but it wasn’t this year. It was making sure we were in a very stable position financially, which we are now, making sure we survive this season because of the way we’ve had to refinance the club.

“We’ve promoted a lot of young players through and that’s a part of the transformation we’re making.

“I still think in years to come they would like to see a successful team move up the league and there’s no reason why we can’t be attempting that.

“If you’re only trying to survive each year, they’re not that type of people, they want to be successful and for the club to move forward.

“We all want that and I’m convinced we can do that.”

Why did I just waste 5 mins of my dinner break - I actually feel thicker for reading that

They best start learning about the Championship instead

Last season his rhetoric was ‘judge me when I get my own players in’. OK so you have your own players in (though we have not seen half and the rest warm the bench) and we are still bottom 3. So what do we get now, it’s all about next season and bringing experience in!!! Why then did either let players with vast prem experience leave or have them sitting on the bench???

We have conceded 8 goals in 3 games against Bolton, WBA and Liverpool which, and no disrespect to those teams, is a shocking state of affairs especially when our best defender is on the bench.

As for the protests, what happened in the home games against Everton, Wolves, Liverpool, Stoke, Man City when there was no protest???? I have witnessed some of the worst football consistently, in a long long time and all we hear from Kean is ‘We were excellent for the first 20 minutes’ or as with the villa 3-1 defeat ‘we got into their box 33 times and they got into our box 33 times’.......What is that meant to mean?!?!!?

For once can he not just say ‘we were poor today, my subs didn’t work and we need to look at where we went wrong’. Saying that he would be saying that every week........

As for the bigger picture, we fans are waiting to hear what this actually is???

All we can see is it involves getting rid of John Williams and Tom Finn, two of the most respected people in football who have built a reputation of Rovers being one of the best run clubs in football, not replace them, get rid of players who have premiership experience and can perform at this level. Sign players who never play. Tell us players are injured when they are interviewed on Sky Sports saying they are fit and ready to play (Salgado), whilst bemoaning the injury list of our defenders. Telling us Ryan Nelsen is injured when a week later he is playing for Spurs..........and don;t get me started on Champions League football, top ten and then the classic ‘We won’t get relegated’.........and I could go on!

Whenever Kean eventually leaves, we should all continue to follow his progress. Whenever he gets another job in football (though I can't see him occupying any position above assistant) we must all do our very best to convince the fans of the relevant club that the man is both utterly useless and the source of all woes at their club. Either that or talk him up to ridiculous levels, in line with the obscene praise he has received since taking us into the sh*t.

Heard some news today from a mate in the UK if true and no reason to doubt the person, head office in Weybridge etc, Kean is currently busy organising extensions to his property in Weybridge, so obviously no plans to move up north then.

On the lighter side Daily Mail front page day after relegation sunday

Very good Perth

Its absolutely astounding to me that with all this cr@p thats come out of his mouth, via every media outlet going, still nobody has the balls to pick him up and ask the hard questions. Its bad enough that we have around 15,000 fans that cant take the fraud to task, but youd think someone in the media would have sussed him out by now.

just watched it.

sick, sick, sick man scary to think how low his IQ must be only seriously dumb people can spout that garbage with a straight face. Scraping the barrel for a positive and my only solice is he's not immortal and in 20,30 40 years he will die as that seems the only way he's ever leaving, he won't be able to get a job in football let alone management if he left before then.

I could only hate him more if he touched up kids....even then probably not a lot more.

Below is a qoute from football365's Easter losers column:

''The players are not to blame, though, and Kean is only mildly culpable in his tactical ineptitude and belief that David Goodwillie is a 'young Wayne Rooney'. He has brought a lot of trouble on himself - notably his admission to 'forfeiting' the League Cup quarter final against Cardiff -but most fans have made their peace with the manager.

The real responsibility for Blackburn's plight lies at the door of Venky's, who, as relegation looms, were present for the first time in 2012 to witness the result of their severe mis-management. Considering all that has already passed - the insistence that £5million-a-year investment will lead to Champions League football, the PR stunt to sign Ronaldinho, the plans to host an R&B concert fronted by Akon at Ewood Park, the decision to replace Sam Allardyce with a novice, allowing a succession of experienced players and directors to leave - the drop through the trap door will only lead to bigger problems for Rovers.''

Just where in f'kin Gods name do they get this assumption from that we the fans are now all pally, pally with Teflon?

We protest and we are nothing short of evil b'stards...

Sick and tired of this bull! <_<

  • Backroom

The general consensus in the media is now that we've all made peace with wee Stevie and feel sheepish over past protests.

Nothing could be further from the truth - the simple fact is most fans have just given up after realising no matter what we do Kean will never be sacked as long as Venky's own the club. It's nothing to do with making peace.
