  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

So Venkys are now experts in football by watching a lot of football on television (beats watching a game live). Lets hope they have been boning up on Championship teams and players

Only boning up they will be doing is when the big fat 37 million cheque lands on their doorstep. Of course Madame X with have to put her Keano headed strap on, on to participate

Now with relegation a certainty, my feelings of emotional distress have almost vanished. I accepted relegation in December, then got my hopes up again after the Wolves and Sunderland matches, only to get knocked down again after our the atrocious results v Bolton, WBA and Liverpool. In a weird way, I'm actually somewhat relieved now, because at least we now know that we're going to get relegated (yes, I know it's not mathematically certain, but no way in hell are

Even though the future of this football club looks bleaker than Steve Kean's fat arse, I couldn't help but chuckle all the way from page 39 of this thread and onwards. Steve Kean's so mad and deluded it's absurd, bordering on the hysterically comical. Some much needed comedy relief in this thread from a number of posters.

This post, however, was the one that resulted in my crying tears of laughter, what with Mercerman's signature "IMO"s and the blunt message to Kean that all Rovers fans (except two?) can agree with.

IMO, Kean must think that the supporters are naive peasants.

Kean, IMO, is just contemptible - please just feck off you cretin.

The thing that really grinds my gears the most, is this portrayal of rovers fans as though they are the first group of football supporters to ever put the boot in on their teams manager. Sertiously its as though it was fround upon or unheard of before the Bolton game happened.

Reading that LT article is so cringe worthy, yet again - don't know why I do it to myself....

I can imagine the shyte Kean talks to the Rao family when he speaks with them.

Can hear his relegation speech now which we will no doubt hear - have promising youngsters, champing at the bit to bounce back etc etc

Absolutely stupifeying. The man is a completely delusional moronic imbecile

And thats only the interviewer!

What a stage managed bowl of syrupy slop. Can no one in the media ask direct and incisive questions ffs? How about questioning his record since his appointment and comparing it with just about anyone else in football. Cut to the chase how about a question along the lines of...

If we extrapolate the record of your team so far this season BRFC are on course for a total of 32 points? A total which has seen every team with that or less relegated since the Premier League was started. Do you think you can create Prem history and stay up and why?

Never mind effin Moyes and Fergy who are just playing the football manager game, how about sticking Allardyce or Dave Whelan across from him with the mike? Now that would be worth watching. All this shyte is because for whatever reason too much silence has been bought.

As for the dog conspiracy theory... means nowt imo. It's prob for his wife's pooch that comes up only when she does. Having a dog with his lifestyle would be impractical.

I actually hate Kean.

I don't think I've ever cared enough about something to legitimately hate someone before, but I actually hate Kean.

What a horrid, despicable and pathetic excuse for a man he is.

Thats Glasgow for you

Give over Drog, the Pedigree Chum must be for the Rottweilers that Hong Kong Fui and himself walk to the Whalley Arms every night.

There is a bit of a nothing article in the mirror that says kean has to wait til fait decided. Bit as you read on he says we have always said we will decide who comes in or out once we know where we are. To me that sounds like he is on about players not him. Sick again berrrrrr

Disgusting interview on LT there. Suddenly Kean's job was to make sure to refinance our club by stabilizing it. As if we weren't manageable before Venkys gave their stupid contracts, transfer fees and high agent fees. We're a skeleton right now with all the flesh blown apart.

Just what is the plank doing even talking about Europe at this stage?

No mention of his agent doing all those contracts last January, funny how all those players on new deals have all pretty much left.

Tame but finally a bit of lampooning. Maybe the tide is about to turn?

Martin Blackburn at the Sun has always been openly critical of Kean, I am guessing he had some input into that article.

ROFLMAO, seriously what planet are you one Keano?

The closest we'll get to Europe is if they bring back the Anglo-Italian cup.

As for our owners comments by Kean:

He added: “They’ve got a much better in-depth knowledge of the whole league now.

“They don’t just watch our games, they watch all the other games that are on live, they know all the players in the Premier League.

“And they know the intensity of it because I was trying to explain to them that when you take a player from Spain or France that it can take a little bit of time for them to adjust.”

Fantastic they can name some players, how much safer do I feel now?

Not being funny Keano I can get them physically fit for it in weeks, Vuckevic etc still aren't ready under you in months. They'll never get used to the pace of the game here if they don't play by the way.

Kean said about Venky’s visit: “We had a board meeting that had been scheduled for three months. What we've always felt is that it was right to wait and get the points sorted out.

“Then we can decide who's going to be coming in and who's going out. We need to concentrate on the remaining games and getting the points required.

“Then, at the end of the season, we can sit down and have discussions about budgets, who we can bring in and who will be going out.”

Since when does the manager of a football club attend Board meetings? Part of the Executive role of the Board of Directors of a football club is to decide on whether to keep/sack the coach. If he is on the Board then he truely is unsackable.

Also sounds very ominous over the 'who will be going out' part.

Mass clearout of the remaining talent whether we stay up or go down.

They can always sack the manager OJ, whatever the boardroom set up. I do agree with your main point though. To me, it just cements the idea that I said at the time, that Kean knew exactly what the plan was before he was appointed manager. He must have been part of it. Immediately he was appointed he was going over John William's head to Mrs D. That isn't the action of a man promoted unexpectedly from within. JW knew that [iMO] - and Kean himself said that within a month of him becoming manager, Williams changed his attitude to him.
