Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

In the newsagents so did a quick speed read of all the match reports.

The News of the... Sorry Sun on Sunday's contribution:

'Who is to blame?'

Owner; Allardyce sacking, CL talk, they have hardly covered themselves in glory.

Manager: you have to admire the way he has handled himself. Most would have walked in the face of EXTREME ADVERSITY and ABUSE he has faced.

Players: what can the boss do about 10 man Liverpool scoring a last minute winner?

Verdict: everyone must hold their hands up- including the fans. Who fo they think they are? Man United? Complaining about a relegation fight is like a vegetarian complaining about a venkys chicken.

Take a bow Paul Jiggins you ###### half wit.

Kean should realise that he himself is not in the right frame of mind to continue doing what he has been doing, I hesitate to call it managing. However I am fully sure he knows this but he is too greedy to walk away with no money.

Interesting chat last night on Twitter between Martin Blackburn (The Sun) and John Cross (Mirror).

Over the past couple of days, have noticed a lot of Rovers fans putting their points across to journalists. Blackburn said he has asked to cover the Norwich game and will ask some of the questions we have been raising.

Over the past couple of days, have noticed a lot of Rovers fans putting their points across to journalists. Blackburn said he has asked to cover the Norwich game and will ask some of the questions we have been raising.

He won't be asking them to Keano as our good friend Paul "propaganda minister" Agnew will cut any proper questions out as soon as they're uttered.

The problem we have is that the media's perception is we should be thankful to be anywhere in the league other than bottom. This was emphasised by Phil Thompson on Soccer Saturday when he said Kean should be praised for the position he's gotten us into. The general media concensus is that we don't deserve to be in the premier league and that anything other than being involved in a relegation scrap is setting our expectations too high.

Forget the fact we've been in the prem for over ten years, forget the fact we've consistantly done well in this league and only a few seasons ago were finishing 6th, forget the fact under Sam Allardyce in 2009/10 we finished comfortably in 10th place. Forget the fact the promoted clubs with supposedly inferior players are sitting way above us in the league - it's all irrelevant to the media because despite all this we deserve nothing more than a relegation scrap.

It's pathetic, but they've always hated us being in the Premier League and most of 'em will be delighted when we go down.

That sums up the whole image of us.

Who do we think we are?

We're just a bunch of provincial, grubby oiks to them.

The man is not only a tactical genius, a brilliant physcologist but also a mathamatician of Euclid proportions;

""Confidence is a mindset," he said. "People say if you get on a good run it breeds confidence, but we need to look at how we have done it before. We are not going to get 10 games to be able to go on a 10-game unbeaten run because there aren't 10 games left in the season."

And that would be who's fault? Maybe the Premier League season should be 48 games?

Also this little gem truly displays his immense grasp on how to survive in the Premier League;

"We are all upset by this performance. You don't come to an away ground and try and lose."

Really? Never thought of that.

Sob.

Who writes his post-match interviews? Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant?

Why does Kean always stand on the touchline pretty much motionless during the match?

Just stands there with his hands in the pockets of his fat coat.

Should be obvious pal, he doesn't have a clue! He's just trying to work out which team has the ball most of the time.

Was absolutely sickening listening to 606 last night. One "fan" called up to say Kean deserved the "upmost respect" for the way he has handled the "pressure" this season and one decent fan was shot down by Darren Fletcher for saying that the fans had been proved the SK protest were wrong. I expect that from most BBC journalists as I'm sure they are delighted to be seeing SK drag us to oblivion but what sickened me most was Savage consistently backing his media friend up when earlier in the season he was anti-Kean. I guess the job makes the man in this case. Absolute disgrace... The fans who call up and support Kean or give him any kind of credit also have blood on their hands.

Nobody likes us now and we're going down so let's make sure that things are as uncomfortable for Kean as is possible in the final games. It's the only fight left to fight...

Yeah that peed me off as well. Couldn't get through on phone

But was compelled to txt this:

The media need to give Blackburn Rovers supporters some credit. The facts speak for them selves, second relegation battle in as many seasons. Worst defensive record since 1978, and an uncertain financial future. The owners, manager and players need to take a look at them selves. The supporters are concerned for the Clubs LONG term future. We'll be here long after they've gone. Barry, Paisley

I'm fairly sure those pockets have holes in.

Kean will always be protected by Agnew, as someone from the club says, "Kean has very deep pockets and Agnew cant take his hands out of them"

The one liners dont just stop with the Manager

Why did we buy Bruno? "It was a family favour",

Why is Salgado not playing? "Tbh he should never of got a new contract in the first place"

Whats the clubs stance on Anderson going on Sky? "Well he has just made it impossible for Myles to ever play for us now, was thinking of putting a statement out but decided against it"

The Agnew/press is being discussed on another thead I think - also John Cross, on his twitter account, commented on it.

Mikey Delap (@MikeyDelap)

Rovers press officer telling the media what they can and can't ask Kean in his post match interview. Absolutely disgusting.

from Shabani's very interesting post, The pyschopath test:

"2 Grandiose Self-Worth - A grossly inflated view of one's abilities and self-worth, self-assured, opinionated, cocky, a braggart. Psychopaths are arrogant people who believe they are superior human beings. YES

3 Need for Stimulation or Proneness to Boredom - An excessive need for novel, thrilling, and exciting stimulation; taking chances and doing things that are risky. Psychopaths often have a low self-discipline in carrying tasks through to completion because they get bored easily. They fail to work at the same job for any length of time, for example, or to finish tasks that they consider dull or routine...

6 Lack of Remorse or Guilt - A lack of feelings or concern for the losses, pain, and suffering of victims; a tendency to be unconcerned, dispassionate, coldhearted, and unempathic. This item is usually demonstrated by a disdain for one's victims. YES

7 Shallow Affect - Emotional poverty or a limited range or depth of feelings; interpersonal coldness in spite of signs of open gregariousness.

8 Callousness and Lack of Empathy - A lack of feelings toward people in general; cold, contemptuous, inconsiderate, and tactless. YES"

I presume Agnew didn't know about the holes in Kean's pockets?
