Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

Kean hopes for small protest

"We have a focus and that is on breaking the sequence that we are in, making sure we can get a good start in the game and I am very confident that we can get a result this week.

"If you can go to Anfield and draw, and go to Old Trafford and win, there is no reason why we can't beat Norwich and Wigan at home and take something from the games away at Spurs and away at Chelsea.

"If you can go to tough away grounds and dig something out, and win our home games I think that will be enough to keep us in the division."

Kean, speaking at Hampden, where he was addressing coaches at the Scottish Football Association's continual professional development seminar

At least this helps to explain why Scottish football is so s***e.

This is the annoying part.

A totally incompetent no-mark gets appointed as manager of an established Premier League club.

Performs inconceivably badly for a half a season, where we barely stay up on the last day of the season - thanks to the previous manager's accumulated points tally.

Then the following full season, manages a measly 28 points over 33 games and we are absolute certainties for relegation.

And he walks away with a couple of years of hugely inflated salary as well as a seven-figure pay off.

Madness.

You missed out the bit where he got an improved contract for "keeping us up".

The guy's laughing at all of us. Yet some fans are still averse to giving him stick because they want to focus on cheering the lads to safety. Good luck with that.

OK we are down now.

Congratulations Steve Kean- what is your pay off?

I'm not convinced he'll go philip, in fact I'd wager he'll still be here next season, but thousands of fans won't be.

I can`t believe that 36 people on this board want to keep him! Please can any of you justify why? because i`m buggered if I can!

Genuinely?

Because they're either rival fans or enjoy winding people up on internet forums, because that's seemingly their only joy in life.

What really depresses me is the thought of more Kean at our club - whether we somehow scrape away from the drop zone this year (and he's hailed as the messiah) or languishing in the lower half of the Championship table.

The man is a failure and a liar, pure and simple.

Kean is rovers' John Bond! In-fact he's worse. At-least Bond had some success as a manager!

Absolutely SG, as someone on this site said recently:

"Every time he moves his lips he tells a lie"

The man is a born liar.

Don't you just wish Jack was still around? can you imagine this liar lasting more than a month?

"Steve its not working out, pack your bags and **** off"

It wouldn't have taken Jack a month to see through this fool !

I'm pretty sure there is no precedent for the Kean situation.

I cannot remember a manager in any league so out of his depth in a position he was promoted to without any merit. Even Paul Ince had past success to point to. Nor do I remember any manager as hated by his own fans as Kean is by most Rovers fans.

So, so tragic.

You forgot that part.

If Venkys want to motivate the fans and the team, sack Kean and appoint Black interim manager.

Absolutely.

The repeated fights between Rovers players behind the scenes at Swansea obviously indicate Kean has lost the players (not that he has ever had them playing for him if truth be told) and part of this self-inflicted relegation has been caused by Kean's total failure to select the best players in the squad.

Black could re-set relations with players who have the seniority and qualities to lead (come back Givet, Saldado, Vukcevic) and the possible flair (Rochina) and at least pick the best XI from our now pitiably small resources.

But expecting a sane decision from Pune is like waiting for snow in the Sahara- I picked that analogy deliberately because it happened this year at sea level for the first time in 100 years. I suppose vestigial hope of unexpected common sense from Pune still remains- but calm rationale informed decision making can never be expected.

I'm usually a relaxed, laid back person but just the sight of Kean has made my blood boil for the past six months. God, I hate that guy.

Totally, totally incompetent, with a truly dreadful track record, no morals, delusional interviews and somehow with most of the media on his side - if he's still here after we're relegated I won't be able to attend any more Rovers games for fear of my health :(

What on earth is this guy doing at a CPD seminar in Scotland. We've just capitulated in our last 2 matches and are in the doo doo. Our senior players have either

a.Left

b. Been sold

c. Can't play

d. or won't play

And this muppet is off collecting a speakers fee from the SFA. For heavens sake he should be on the training ground and sleeping there (like his mate Jerome Anderson did) until we're out of trouble. 100% focussed PAL!

Hope he gives his fee to the Rovers supporters trust!

Thought you knew better than to give this walloper any mouth time Neil Doncaster.

CPD from a jumped up coach.

What's his topic?

- Making friends and influencing people.

- Ethics in the Football Industry?

- How to be successful in football

- Air Miles Count?

- How to start a supporters trust the easy way?

- Good governance in Football

- Making the truth count in Soccer?

- Pleasing your football masters!

No wonder football is in a mess. Hope it's a career change!

This beggars belief even in this unbelievable season.

Four games to go, relegation all but guaranteed, and people still hope they'll sack him?

He cant be sacked soon enough. If he was sacked it would give me such a lift and i can speak for others but im sure they would be happy therefore better atmosphere. Then we could just focus on venks. All ifs and buts i know. I know

That should have read 'cant' speak for others

Moyes and Coyle were among the first to attack Rovers fans for protesting against Kean for his part in the destruction of the club. We should not allow what these people say to deter us from standing up for the club. They are all in it together and are just protecting one of their own. We should show the same spirit when managers or journos attack our fans.

I noticed that Lambert was also a member of this cosy little gang, so I expect the Norwich manager to be spouting similar propaganda about the great job Kean is doing 'in the circumstances' and with such dignity.

He will remain dignified all the way to the bank.
