Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

LT : http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9662587.Blackburn_Rovers_manager_Kean_laughs_off_bust_up_rumours/r/?ref=twt

He has rubbished all suggestions there is disharmony among his struggling squad, including rumours suggesting a row involving Steven Nzonzi, and insists they will all be together this afternoon.

He said: “There has not been one fight, there has not been one raised voice. There has not been one mishap, it has been a tremendous week, there has been absolutely nothing.

I think there Gentlemen is proof that the stories are correct

Interesting that Paul Lambert is quoted

(a) NORWICH manager Paul Lambert has blasted Blackburn supporters for hounding counterpart Steve Kean and failing

to get behind their team.

Then goes on to say

“But if things go against them, some of their players could hide. So we have to make sure that happens and try to get the crowd to turn against them.”

A bit of a contradiction. probably The Mirror being useless.

Kean rapped: "There hasn't been one fight or even a raised voice. We have had a tremendous week."

So the press room next to the away dressing room at Swansea didn't hear arguments?

Doesn't really scan that well for a rap either. Maybe he's the next Eminem...

Inaccurate too in that the one thing everyone seems confident of is that Robinson is not the one who allegedly thumped him. And Nzonzi has scarcely been mentioned. So no internet gossip about that then

Interesting developments since I was last reading this thread.

Apparently in the last nine days, Coco has been seen drunk in Manchester; as the Special One's guest in Munich for the CL semi-final; at Stamford Bridge twice; once for the other CL SF and once for the Youth Cup Final 1st leg where his accute hearing picked up me shouting Kean Out over half a pitch length (hope that was a good bye wave you gave me Kean) and was at Brockhall for a late press conference and a ruckus with Nzonzi which MGP stepped in to drag Kean away from after which training was cancelled......

From all this we can conclude wee Stevie is enjoying his £1.3m a year salary for which he is achieving (Please don't use that word again) all for the people of Blackburn.

Oh yes having seen the post above, there was a fight between the Rovers players in the tunnel plus two other rows which entertained the Swansea players mightily plus another two rows whilst Rovers were on the trip, apparently....

"Lost any semblence of control" are the words that come to mind.

He lost the squad for the last four games of last season as well but the players who took control of the situation and steered us to safety are either transferred out or isolated in Brockhall's own version of Siberia.

Or we could conclude that there's a lot of people talking a lot of ###### Phil.

He's come out in the Lancashire telegraph and said he wasn't even in Munich. Be a bit of a daft one to lie about wouldn't it.

“Was I meant to be in Munich on Tuesday? I wasn’t. I was meant to be here on Wednesday as well but I wasn’t. I don’t know where else I am supposed to have been."

I'm guessing these quotes came from him being at Chelsea last night, guess that's why he says 'here' on Wednesday.

Looks like he was at neither.

But then I'm sure you couldn't possibly be wrong again could you Phil ;)

You'd better check this one out with some of your pals who also work behind the scenes at BRFCS.

I watched both games and don't recall a TV pan showing Kean. I'd be happy to be proved wrong but it would be a bit silly of him to say he wasn't there if he was on telly. I'm pretty sure he wasn't there Phil.

I'm pretty sure that Givet didn't refuse to play against Swansea.

Just saying...

I watched both games as well Rickster and I don't remember them panning on Kean and the commentators saying "What on earth is he doing here?! Ha ha ha!" "He's probably just on the lash Jeff, cant be scouting for Blackburn. Ha ha ha" either. Doesn't mean he wasnt though. I'm sure people were more interested in watching the Galacticos on display than a close up of a diabolical football manager

Anyway, Kean has kindly cleared everything up for us. There wasn't a fight and he wasn't at the games. So there was a fight and he was at the games.

That's the problem with telling lies and crying wolf Stevie, one day they'll be one. It's just a question of getting it trained up and side tracking the stewards now.

Stuart, you are right. If you read Keans quotes on the Givet subject at no stage did he say Givet refused to play. He's been a bit canny in saying that in his opinion Givet wasn't in the right frame of mind to play. Kean made the shout on the subject, and got it massively wrong.

But at no stage has he said that givet refused to play.

The only point I'm making is that Phil has reeled off a load of things that Kean had supposedly done, I'm playing devils advocate and stating that there are definitely 2 things on there that he's come out and denied. Surely he'd just say he was at the Munich game if he was there, especially if he knew he'd been filmed on telly at the game! I'm pretty sure he's got some PR bloke who might just have informed him if he'd been filmed at the game ;)

Interesting seeing a cple of papers running nzonzi bn dropped. Heard the same but kean adamant no fall out. Thought I'd run rumour

The detail on how SK came to be in Munich rather suggested to me that the story stacked up.

Anyone see him at Brockhall or anywhere else in the several hours before or after the SFs?

If N'Zonzi isn't playing today we will all know why. Just another porky from Stevie boy.

The big issue is that if all these axings are for 'personal' stuff between him and player, it's harming the club irreparably.

Nzonzi has blown hot and cold but without him and Samba, our aerial ability both defensively and offensively has been severely whacked.

Philipl's posting is amazingly frank and given his professional background, I very much doubt he would publish such stuff without foundation. Somehow, I don't think he'll be seeing Kean in court to argue the toss !!!

"I thought the way we played in the last game (oh bloody hell he's not going to actually slag off the Swansea performance, is he?)... of the season against Wolves was really positive."

Shame, thought he's have brought up the 80 minutes against Man United.

Why would he lie about being in Munich?

He was either there or he wasn't.

If he was, what justification footballing wise can there be ? All focus should have been on today's crucial game.

If he was in Munich, it could also have been for personal reasons outside football.
