  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

Kean on 606

IMO that was not just a spontaneous call by Kean to Roberts but quite deliberately set up by Agnew to give Kean more free air time to run through his usual exscuses including the unlucky loss at Norwich, playing away to Bolton and the Muamba effect blah blah blah.

I don't think Kean even knew that Roberts had been sent off. The call had nothing to do with Roberts - it is all about Kean.

Quite pathetic and embarassing.

He will never leave Rovers of his own free will. He's one sad nonbody.

606 has been used as a PR vehicle all season. Most "fans" who call up are pro-Kean and the last 2 weeks have been the clearest examples. Agnew/Kean/JA know that it's a good medium to change the views of neutral fans and that the presenters are pro-Kean too (who knows why).

It has been used by certain people before this season,it has been very pro Kean, Anderson and Venky's . Remember their in depth expose of sayed (granted he was a crook) , wonder who tipped them off about that? getting rid of a possible buyer for the club, and leaving the way clear for certain peoples plans to make a few quid to go through. Funny they didn't commit the same investigation techniques about the Venky's bid or investigate a certain person was helping both parties in the Venky purchase.

I would have thought an agent controlling the transfers and day to day running of a football club via his client was quite a big story wouldn't you?

I would have thought the dismantling of an infra structure that abided by FA and business standards would have been worthy of an investigation.

I would have though a leaked letter from Club officials highlighting unethical practices was a big story wouldn't you?

Unfortunately this is what happens when you mix the the sport entertainment and media industries. Radio 5 (bbc locals) and Talk sport enjoy almost exclusive rights to broadcast live commentary of FA Premier matches, Sky sports enjoy exclusive live premiership TV rights in the UK , and foxsports (sky in other countries) enjoy a good share of overseas broadcast rights, now then which stations have been very pro Kean, I will leave you to join up the dots and see whose feet the above leads to.

Its all about positive press and seizing the moment, and regardless what anyone thinks, the 5 live listeners will all be saying:

“What a great guy that Kean is, you wouldn’t get our manager ringing 606, those Bburn fans want to give the guy a break”

This on the back of 5 live highlighting anti-Venkys singing in the ground and widely reported protests from the town hall.

Agnews earning his money alright :D

Thats a great and well thought out post, problem is, how do we change things?

You reckon Gav?

If I kept hearing and seeing some nomark manager on telly and rafio I'd be thnking 'he needs to concentrate on sorting his team out'.

I've realised this season that your proper football fan is infinitely more wise that those in the media stealing a living.

Whilst Agnew is happy dealing with local issues, he is a small fish, and I can not wait for a new owner to come in and get rid of Agnew's company and wipe out 75% of their workload, after all he has shown this season his company is not interested in the PR of Blackburn Rovers, he is guardian of Steve Kean and associates at local level. Perhaps Agnew is hoping to get a bit of work from the puppet master.

In my view until Kean goes we are stuck with it, whilst Kean is at the club so are certain people, maybe not in the limelight but pulling the strings to protect their own interest's.

Now if certain people had genuine interest in Rovers the "set up" would be beneficial to the club. We have even got our very own FA committee member as a safeguard to keep prying noses away. but alas not.

The only way to attempt to fight it is discredit every online news story in the comments section, and write to papers etc, ring Radio 5's love in etc, think it's a losing battle but you never know somebody might just think 'hang on I didn't know about that" and perhaps look into it further.

Kean on 606

How many more times is he going to refer to 'picking up points at Old Trafford, Goodison and Anfield' as a reason why he thinks we will beat Spurs?

He trawled the same ###### before we got snotted at Arsenal, WBA, Swansea and nearly every other ground since Xmas.

Everyone knows that Spurs bad run was only going to last until the Blackburn lambs rolled into town for the slaughter

Was coco avoiding showing the right side of his mug on MOTD last night?

We commented on that also yoda, he certainly stood sideways on, strange on that

I disagree, talking to fans of other clubs they have no idea whats going at Ewood, just think that we're treating the manager badly

When we are relegated the press line will be that it's the fans' fault for not getting behind the team.

The fans didn't sack SA, the fans didn't sell good players, the fans didn't sack profesional administrators at the club, the fans didn't sign donkeys, the fans didn't ###### off the clubs bankers and accountants, the fans didn't put a clown in charge of everything, the fans didn't ###### good money down the drain of agents. The fans didn't make questionable substitutions when games looked safe,

The fans did express all the concerns that are now going to come home to roost.

sorry if I missed anything

Anybody seen today's Observer? Kean is awarded the man of the day award in the 'Saturday Sundae' section:

'Steve Kean - again wound up and confused the Kean Out protestors leading Blackburn to an off-message win over Norwich.'

Incredible.

Something similar from Rod Liddle in the Times

Manager of the year chat starting up again after a comfortable home win against the mighty Norwich. Surely a contract extension on the cards if Kean manages to somehow lead us to a miraculous escape. His call to 606 had many neutral fans thinking "what a top man he is”.

MOTD was a bit more realistic, mentioned losing 5 in a row, worst run in 4 years, Kean only winning a handful of the sixty odd games in charge etc...finally a bit of perspective.
