Stick or Twist this summer?

  1. 1. So stay up or go down should we keep Super Steve 'Coco' Kean at the helm for next season??

    • Keep - But only if we stay up
    • Keep - Even if relegated
    • Sack - But only if we go down
    • Sack - Even if we stay up
    • Just like a puppet I have no opinion

News from the Ewood Asylum:

Kean insists that neither he nor club owners Venky’s have even planned for life in the Championship. Keansaid: “We’re not even thinking about going down. Our plan is staying up. That’s the only scenario we’ve spoken about.''

The Madness of Steve Kean

The man gives interviews about being a failed guitar player but ignores the probability of Rovers being relegated from the PL. Complete madness.

Yep - I saw that, unbelievable.

At least Agnew & Kean will be unable to silence 20,000+ angry fans unleashing 18 months of pent-up anger on Kean & co at the Wigan match which will be beamed around the world. Got a feeling perceptions of Venky's / Kean will change dramatically in the wider world that night. There will be no hiding place or protective shield for Kean.

A bit too late by then. I'm not advocating violence but all the people that have turned a "blind eye" over the last 18 months will be the first ones moaning about the clubs position next season.

The man isn't real. He's been created by someone like Graham Linehan or Charlie Higson. This is all a sick social experiment.

Kean, seated, and Agnew at Friday's Press Conference.

"I’ve been playing badly for eight or nine years now" Believe me, 18 months has been long enough, it does feel like 8 or 9 years though.

From the printed Lancs Telegraph - "if we get three wins we'll be safe and we might even need less than that. We can't look at the Tottenham game and think it does not matter. We need to get points and try and win." what a bizarre thing to say.

Totally agree.

I am with you and if you read this MB regularly, you will recognise that that has been my position for well over 12 months.

He really does have it easy. So called journo should hang their heads.....

They gently toss they same old questions so they can quickly tuck into the buffet and toddle of to the Friday afternoon club for a pint!!!!

Not the Journos fault. At the moment they are restricted in what they are allowed to ask, they aren't allowed to ask the cutting questions.

Full credit to McLeish who fronted up to the press conference yesterday and any question that the Journo's asked.

Why don't the journo's articles say that they were restricted in their line of questioning?

It all seems rather unethical to portray what they write as truth without revealing they couldn't ask all the questions they wanted.

Not the way things work, although journo's like MartIn Blackburn and Andy Cryer have tweeted earlier this year that they are not happy about the situation.

Still doesn't excuse it, what's the point of a 'free press' if they're being controlled like it was Nazi Germany, the fans are blamed for the whole situation.

Surely someone has sufficient mettle to question this situation of selective questioning, instead of smearing the fans and burying their heads in the sand?

Pathetic.

Oh no. My daughter just saw the article about SK's guitar 'skills', the proceeded to go round the room with her little brother doing impressions of Mr Kean playing gee-tar badly. Now I can't get the image of our great leader's contorted face in guitar hero pose out of my head. Since I'm now cursed I thought i'd share this affliction with you, you'll understand my pain.

+ 1000

It's only Blackburn Rovers FFS. So what if they get banned from the training ground / future Press conferences? (One of our problems is that we don't affect circulation anyway). There is a massive cover up here and the club is getting away with murder.

How's about printing / reporting the Truth?? Is this really not deemed newsworthy? Or am I asking too much? It would clearly appear I am. Best just to turn up like a nodding dog every week then.

It's like me making a statement in the science world without research to back it up. I would be sacked.

I have read many a story I know 100% to not either be truthful or missing serious parts that completely change the story. I think it's absolutely disgusting that they get away with this sort of action, it's just about selling papers.

Obviously I'm not aiming that at you Kamy, but it's all gone to far and is a key part of why I very rarely read the news anymore.

There's so many journos that say things just for a reaction, I try not to feed the trolls, but when they're smearing the good name of my club and it's fans, it's tough to resist.

When I read his comments in the Telegraph this morning, I'd just presumed that it was yet another lie from Weaselboy.

I'd wager a decent amount that he's never seen a guitar in his life.

What would Peter White have done? I think we all know. He'd have asked what he wanted and probably got banned but he wouldn't have stood for this.

Now I fully expect that the Editor at the LT has considered the consequences of this and they've made the decision to tow the line. Why? Is there anyone left that actually wants to read about Keans spin? His deluded view on things, his contradictions and down right lies? The owners won't even speak to the LT so why back them up? Why give them an easy ride?

If they want a story and to shift some papers it should be a case of "today we lift the lid on the scandalous Press Conferences that have been taking place at BRFC.... how we, and the national Press, aren't allowed to ask the questions you want answering....Well no more.... We are here to bring you our readers the news..... Not half a story.... It's a free press, or should be...." or something along those lines. It's the right thing to do. The alternative is that we just carry on as we are - and that is just a waste of trees.

Then again, maybe they're just waiting for the season to finish first? That could well be it.

Perhaps it's just a reflection of 'New' Britain and how far we have fallen.

I never knew my granddad but a few years ago my grand mother said this:

'Your grand father would be disgusted that he gave his life to protect this country seeing what it has become'

Funnily enough it was during yet another discussion on half stories that for us meant a lot.

That was the day I stopped reading.

Sorry Kamy, but it is their fault.

Few people need to grow a pair and do their job.

Report the truth. Ask the awkward questions, be true to yourself and your readers/viewers/listeners.

What would happen if they do kamy? All Agnew could do is curtail the press conference or deny further access by that reporter and/or his newspaper / TV channel. I simply cannot imagine em even daring to contemplate the fall out should they try that with a senior reporter from a big daily. It would signal open season on the entire corrupt and incompetent regime that trapped up 18 months ago.
