New book out-------Underdogs/The Unlikely Story of Football's First FA Cup Heroes by Keith Dewhurst. Currently reviewed on the Guardian's website:

Took 3 games to settle the FA Cup Quarter Final of 1879 till plucky Darwen was finally cheated by the machinations of the Old Etonians.

(You couldn't trust them then and you can't trust them now!)
