Dont hold your breath until Sam reaches into his pocket and pays back some of that Venkys video money. 4 million should do it.
Clitherover Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 West Ham have made another bid for him apparently. Looks like a matter of when not if he is going.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Crap left back, very good left sided midfield player. Probably the last of the the few Premier League capable players we had to sell. Hoilett, Nzonzi, Yakubu, Samba, all gone, that's it, piggy bank emptied now. Only Givet hanging around like a bad smell now.
jim mk2 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Young, pace to burn and a good crosser of the ball. We will be weaker without him and it will be another nail in the promotion coffin if he leaves, which looks a certainty if Sam wants him. Cue posters saying he's useless and we're better off with the money and/or wages saved - lift and dust the entire PL team we've sold over the past 2 years.
Amo Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Young, pace to burn and a good crosser of the ball. Come again?
meerkat Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 No point keeping a player that doesn't want to wear the blue and white's. Get shut and enjoy his career rocket, as I do watching Holliets
sparky12 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 No point keeping a player that doesn't want to wear the blue and white's.Get shut and enjoy his career rocket, as I do watching Holliets Rocket straight back down to the championship...
dubdubdub Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Come again? Dreadful crosser. Good player though. Would be perfect for a side who play with wing backs.
Damien Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Where does it say he is desperate to go? Last I heard he loved the club again and refused to be drawn into any speculation! Sounds like tabloid bull to me! I hope I'm right!
davulsukur Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Negotions ongoing according to Sam. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11685/8388597/Blackburn-considering-bid-from-West-Ham-for-Martin-Olsson
rog of the rovers Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I think £4m is a fair price, would accept that and put money into a genuine left back and Graham Dorrans!
cwspellowe Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Sky Sports News today saying that a deal is almost definitely going to happen, but WHU aren't meeting the club's valuation. This is the same club though that placed an £8m offer on a League 1 striker, so we're probably asking for £15m. Olsson has more Premier League experience than our last 5 "managers" combined, must be worth it.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I watched part of the Utd v Wham game last night. If ever a team needed new blood it's them. Very uninspired performance by a lot of very average players. There's not many of the players on show last night that I'd take in a swap deal. I'd have Diame though he's just what we're short in midfield.

Why are they so sure if they aren't going to meet our valuation and the player and those close to him have said he won't push a move? Just more of sky expecting us to roll over and have our @#/? tickled. We will see what happens, I don't think there is any 'almost definitely' about it though.
Ricky Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Think we need to be looking at £5m minimum really. Don't want to see him go but it's difficult if he wants to go. We need to strengthen the team and he's probably one of the few players who we can see a return on.
John Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Sam Allardyce is baffled by Blackburns high valuation of Martin Olsson and admits West Ham have been priced out of a move for the defender. "I was interested in him because I developed him as a left back in the Premier League in my time at Blackburn, so I know the player well and what has happened to him since then is a decline" http://www.london24.com/sport/west-ham/west_ham_boss_hits_out_at_blackburn_over_olsson_valuation_1_1832419

rickard Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 He may have been a good manager for us but he's still an egotistical gobshyte. To be fair, which player did not decline under kean?
BrisRover Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 He's worth more to us than he is for them. Simple really. Time to move on Sam.

Either pay the money of shut the kean up Allardyce
G Somerset Rover Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Gobsmacked and angry with Allardyce for these comments. What does he want us to do? Roll over and have our belly tickled?
