bob fleming
Flew out Wednesday morning. Arrived in Bombay on Thursday morning. Bombay OK is it? Still standing? Where next? There's some moderately happy people in Australia if they fancy investing in a Sports team of some sorts out there? You know, spread the misery worldwide. John
I still can't believe the Rao brothers were able to just sit there without most of the stadium not letting them know what damage they have done. Fair enough if no one knew they were there..... The damage they have done already in their short time, 'owning the club', could be irreparable - relegation will mean many people losing their jobs off the pitch and the local area will suffer - and the Rao family have the cheek to attend a match as if they are proper and fit people to be anywhere near our club. Scumbags.

Scumbags. I knew they were there as i saw them arrive at ewood ten minutes after kick off i was at the players entrance and gave venkys a piece of my mind with two other people chanting sell the club and venkys out venkatesh rao was rushed into the stadium, i then went into the lower jw stand and told a few people that venkys had attended the game and pointed out where they were sitting throughout the game we chanted but to little avail as we was told to sit down and shut up so it was not the want of not trying to make other fans aware that venkys were at the match. all i can say is that they have more front than brighton even considering coming back to blackburn after what they have done to our beloved rovers VENKYS OUT KEAN OUT

I am shocked they can show their faces anywhere near Ewood, they are all a complete disgrace.
Emge
I am shocked they can show their faces anywhere near Ewood, they are all a complete disgrace. I agree. How dare they!! What on earth is the point of attending a match in that matter, and after treating us like they do, I just cant believe it... They only have one option left; they must SELL us! 47er
Tell the people who protested against the Iraq war that, tell the students that, tell the miners that, tell the poll tax protesters that, its about having some self-respect and standing up for what you believe in, about having a voice, not sitting down and let people walk all over you, you may not force change, but at least you've tried. I despair sometime Gav, that is very well said. P.S. Its often said that you find out who your true friends are in times of trouble!
bob fleming
Flew out Wednesday morning. Arrived in Bombay on Thursday morning. Oh and MG, can you ask our current owners, including Mrs Desai, if they'll be coming along to the last home game of the season? It's against Wigan ironically, maybe they'll stay for the full 90 minutes? Mrs Desai is due to take in another game after all and I'm sure all their fans would like to thank them for this season. Let us know please, there's a good lad. Cheers.
Tugay-is-God
Shocking that they have replaced Walker family portraits with their own family's I the Anna Louisa suite @jimwilkz tweeted tonight In all their glory. http://t.co/mGu9MOxL
EwoodDawn
I really hope they don't expect to convince us that they are nice people just because they love their parents. Haven't they heard of the Krays, etc?

Steve Moss
Shocking that they have replaced Walker family portraits with their own family's I the Anna Louisa suite @jimwilkz tweeted tonight I don't think Venkys have yet figured out that Rovers are not just another factory. What is a football club without the supporters?

Majiball
When you buy a house would you leave up the family portraits of the previous owners (if they were silly enough to care so little for them they left them behind) But they didn't buy a house they bought an Institution. Just as they haven't respected anything since they came in, they won't in the future. Hang your family portraits where you like, just not in the same room as Jack. Quite frankly you don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the big man, let alone in the same room. Next we'll see a card board cut out of Mrs D on Jacks statue's face. The point is though they bought it. It was for sale to do whatever they pleased. If the Trustees didn't want someone else's picture in there they could have put that in the hard terms. But they chose not too.

Exiled in Toronto
Yeah because they stuck to the hard terms alright. They did actually, which amounted to not renaming the Jack Walker stand or putting his statue in a skip. Everything else was in the soft terms, ie not worth the paper they were written on, which the Trust knew was the case.

The promises made to the shareholders in the offer document have virtually all been broken which, I suppose, tells you all you need to know about the people who own us. Little wonder that they are held in such contempt by the people of Blackburn.

Ozz
The promises were meaningless, just platitudes from Venkys to say the right thing to the Trust to smooth the deal over. The offer document is prefaced by this "Cautionary note". "This includes certain statements about Blackburn Rovers or Venky's (and their respective groups and/or subsidiary undertakings) that are or may be forward-looking statements. All statements other than statements of historical facts included in this announcement may be forward-looking statements. These statements are based on the current expectations of the management of Blackburn Rovers or Venky's (as the case may be), have not been reviewed by the auditors of Blackburn Rovers or Venky's and are naturally subject to uncertainty and changes in circumstances. The forward-looking statements contained herein may include statements about the expected effects on Blackburn Rovers or Venky's, following the Offer, anticipated earnings enhancements, estimated cost savings and other synergies, costs to be incurred in achieving synergies, other strategic options and all other statements in this document other than historical facts. Forward-looking statements include, without limitation, statements typically containing words such as "intend", "expect", "anticipate", "target", "estimate", "goal", "believe", "will", "may", "should", "would", "could", "plan" or words of similar meaning or import" So when they said, for example, "[Venkys]...intends to continue to support the existing management team and staff, and that it is committed to the future development of, and investment in, the Club's academy and youth infrastructure" what in truth they were saying was if thats what you want us to say then here you go! The full offer document can be found Here.
