chaddyrovers Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 If we do go down, which is very likely thanks to Kean and venkys stupid and pathetic management decisons. Surely Venkys would sell the club and any new owners would sack Kean and bring in a new manager to get us promote within 2 seasons. Who would we want as manager??? Here are some names:- Mick McCarthy Tugay Karl Robinson Alan Shearer Billy Davies Glenn Hoddle Dougie Freedman please add other news if you want?

adsfortheblues Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 No point in even discussing this won't happen
AggyBlue Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Venky's will keep the club, Kean will be manager. Same sort of season ending in relegation after more cost cutting. Enjoy.
Stuart Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Kean will be here, Chaddy. I've been worrying about you being in denial for a while now. I think you're in for a serious downer very soon. You know where to come if you need support buddy.

I was just about to start in a new topic how will people feel about life in the championship, as after tonight's results I'm 100% sure now we are relegated. Even if we'd have beaten the scousers It wouldn't be enough as the so called poor teams around us (wolves not included as they are doomed) are picking up wins.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Chaddy,chaddy,chaddy...the cretins are here to stay fella. Just close your eyes and think of nice things.
allanncd Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Kean will be given a pay rise and contract extension - Anderson needs another £1m
Parsonblue Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Venky's will still be here and so will Kean. There is still money to be made from the club for the owners - parachute payments, transfer fees, etc. Why would they turn their back on potential earnings? Kean will remain because no self-respecting manager would work for these clowns.
MarkBRFC71 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Chaddy, picture the scene .... October 2012, Rovers lie 19th in the Championship after a narrow 2-1 home defeat to Peterborough witnessed by a bumper crowd of 6,491. Kean's post match interview will contain one or all of the following phrases: "we will take the positives" "we got into their box xx number of times" "we'll work hard on things on the training ground this week" "the owners have been nothing but supportive" "the fans/owners/players are right behind what we're trying to do" Sounds like a nightmare but this is the future for us. Sweet dreams.
Mattyblue Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Kean and Venky's come as a package. No other manager would put up with it, no other owners would put up with Kean.
Backroom DE. Posted April 11, 2012 Backroom Posted April 11, 2012 October 2012, Rovers lie 19th in the Championship Optimistic pal, good to see.
roversfan99 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 As I said on twitter, there's three ways of doing things. a. Have blind faith in Kean. B. Appoint someone with experience who, at perhaps a slight risk, can be expected to gain immediate promotion like Newcastle did. This would need some financial backing. Mick McCarthy Alan Curbishley Graeme Souness Steve Bruce Sven Goran Eriksson c. Go for a younger, talented manager as part of a long term project. Paolo Di Canio Dougie Freedman Karl Robinson Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Gianfranco Zola We need B. or c. but as everyone has basically said, we will no doubt end up with scenario a. and another expected battle near the battle
sharpysharps Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Not much point in discussing this I don;t think but i'd take Billy Davies. Expert in championship football and never really given a proper crack at the premiership. Shame this is all pipe dreaming.
Sparky Marky Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Billy Davies???? Shiit. Tugay........we might aswell be shiit and happy....with Shearer as assistant and Craig Short in there too....we need someone who cares
Hughesy Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 IF and like others say its unlikely they will pot him, then I'd look at Chris Hughton if BIG club don't win promotion
Dunnfc Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 If we do by some miracle get rid of Kean and get relegated then id like to see Solksjaer or Karl Robinson.
Jock Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Clown shoes is here until the money runs out, thats his mission
thenodrog Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Cheapest possible on a rolling monthly contract. This club is on a self destruct countdown. Nobody any good will take the job without a long contract to guarantee a big pay off anyway. Take heart though.... The one thing that will go against the goon in charge now is that he is no longer the cheap option.
perthblue02 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Seem to recall reading something, but might be wrong, that if a club relegates from the Championship whilst the parachute payment term is in operation the parachute payments stop the season after relegation? If the above is correct and on that basis they will stick with Kean until the end of the 2012/2013 season, then the manager of the Vietnamese Broiler processing plant will take over, hard worker, works long hours, used to running on a budget etc.
rovers1993 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 If Kean some how got sack, I would vote for Curbishley immediately. Always been a fan of him and I think he can bring us straight back up.
Bobby G Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Wishful thinking to assume Kean will get sacked or leave the club. If Venkys stay, he will stay too.
Athlete Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Wishful thinking to assume Kean will get sacked or leave the club. If Venkys stay, he will stay too. well looks like this time next season we'll be praying and hoping for the 50 point mark - thats the points benchmark to stay up in the championship
Bobby G Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Honestly there is no way I'd expect us to come back up. No chance. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded too. Look at the club, we're in free-fall.
