He's done OK. Held down his position and been reliable from what I have seen and read. I watched them in their last Europa League game and they looked decent.

Thanks for that.

I disagree...and so does Chris Samba.

No he doesn't. Pretty naieve if you think a player can be forced to go where he doesn't want to go.

You're pretty naive if you think Samba wanted to go to Russia. Rather than be at Blackburn, and for all that money, yes, but he was willy waving at Arsenal for years.

Some very immature and naive opinions on this thread. Some people actually appear to believe that all BRFC players wherever nationality they are and whatever their background should be loyal supporters of the club. Will they never learn?

Who wouldn't given the chance? You could write the names of those that would not want to leave BRFC for the Arse on the back of a postage stamp in thick felt tip.

The one who were rovers fans were all quick to move on too, (Dunn, Derbyshire, Gallacher).

Perhaps it would be naive of Rovers supporters to expect loyalty from non local players purely on the basis that they would share the same feeling for the club as the fans. However, when the club has taken a punt on a player, plucked him from relative obscurity, developed his skills and experience, paid him well and provided a platform for him to perform on then I dont think it is asking too much to expect a little loyalty in return. Obviously, if a huge club comes in then fans have to be realistic but it quite rightly sticks in the craw of many when the likes of Neill, Samba and N'Zonzi start agitating for a move and being generally disruptive, disrespectful and ungrateful.

I would be disappointed if Rovers binned a player who has done well for us but has struggled with form or injury and not given him a chance to put things right. Likewise I don't like it when fans turn on players in those circumstances. However, players shouldn't have it both ways and loyalty should be a two way principle.

Of course, I accept that in the modern era that isn't the case. Doesn't mean we should be happy with it.

Not even remotely close to the point I was making. If you follow the thread of that conversation back, you'd probably see what I mean. Maybe you can't be bothered to, but I can't be bothered to explain further either. It's late.

Jones most of all.

To be fair, Dunn left because either he or Souey would have been up for murder otherwise. He came back at the first opportunity.

Derbyshire didn't want to leave but clearly didn't feature in Sam's plans and was shipped out little over a month after Sam arrived.

Add Jones and Fielding plus ones we moved on (Beattie etc)

Not with these owners Den. Samba wanted to create a move for himself to QPR for £5 - £8m but instead he was sent to some racist, backwater in Siberia where he has to get an Aeroplane to work...for £12m.

N'Zonzi will go to the team that offers the most money either in terms of covering the highest percentage of his wage, or offers the largest chunk of transfer money for him - or be left to rot.

...Kalinic is another.

If Samba hadn't wanted to go to Russia for the huge wages on offer, then he wouldn't have gone. Pedro saying that the Raos only sell players to the clubs who offer the most money was pretty dumb. Didn't Liverpool offer more than Man Utd for Jones?

What he should have said and I would have agreed with, is that the owners try to get as much money as possible for players. That's a whole lot different to what was said.

Saw the Nixon tweet about us having to drop lower that £3m to sell him. We shouldn't be lettign him go for that! Should be looking at around the £5m mark really.

Nixon is saying he is available for 3m but rovers will have to settle for less. For that price I'd play him in reserves

Seriously...£3 million?

I can't believe nobody is going for him at that price.

His money isn't going to go up if we keep hold of him now. We could do with getting him off the wage bill and £3mil goes a long way in this league, unless you're buying young english strikers.

It's a low amount but there really is little point keeping him here given his disruptive and petulant nature.

If he was to be kept at least it could be a warning to others, but you have to be careful of scaring off potential transfer targets if they think they won't have the option of getting out if they need to. After all, not every transfer is borne from throwing ones toys out of the pram and they have the right reasons for going.

Lets hope N'Zonzi sticks one on kean again before he goes :tu:

He's another example of a player thats gone backwards since Kean took over.

No way will we sell him for £3 million after what happened with the Jones' transfer. They seem like they will play tough. I'd let him go out on loan but I wouldn't sell for that little.

Nixon will be playing games. Surely we all kniow that Nicko cannot lie straight in bed..... (Seems to be a developing trait amongst the Scots). As always there will be an angle or a motive behind his actions. Nixon is in no position to value park football players never mind Premier League ones. No doubt Moyes / Pulis of N'Zonzi's agent even will be pulling his strings to get him away from Ewood on the cheap in return for a favour or two.

No Den, Jones had a release clause which was met and they fought tooth and nail to claw as much money out of the deal that they couldn't prevent - forgetting that is pretty dumb.

No, gone backwards since he became a rich young man.
