Devon Rover Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 heres a question - Do we change a winning team from norwich? I'm not sure it matters too much, Ruggles. Everything would appear to be pointing to a Spurs win. 3-1 defeat for me. And that would be enough to all but confirm relegation. I'm already trying to come to terms with the prospect of Championship football. Its just a question of how badly Venkys screw us over before next season commences.

pick32 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Only way i can see us escaping the drop is if we win get points from our remaining 3 fixtures, atleast a point from this match a win is a must at wigan and hopefully we can get something against a chelsea who will have one eye on the champs league final.
OJRovers Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Good preview Nothing personal against your mate, but it just shows how the media have created a "feel sorry for Kean" perception amongst non-Rovers fans. A few simple truths would change the way everyone else feels sorry for him. Sadly, the fans don't have a PR man or media mogul working for us. My prediction: Spurs 4 - Rovers 1
Majiball Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 We must win this game, the boost it would give the squad would be about the only thing that may carry us over the line.
Mercer Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 A ray of hope: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/04/25/3058136/tottenham-players-revolt-against-manager-redknapp
ross-shire rover Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Thanks for the good review. Is that Ledley King in the all-time Spurs team?! Not fit to lace Mike England's boots Spurs have been losing all their games recently, so Steve Kean arriving right on cue unfortunately. At least it'll put us out of our misery..
bradeagle Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Another classic preview Roger! Here's hoping the record continues; touchwood. Let's hope Gael rallies the players this week, however I have pretty much accepted we are going to be relegated and a new era will commence for the institution that once was our Rovers. Just realised our next two matches are both on SKY, so the whole nation can share in our misfortune Lose to Spurs. Mathematically confirmed versus Wigan. Ugly scenes. Good point, two games on sky where mr pr can have two opportunities to send out the victim cards and whatever other nonsence the cretins can think up while the week after we go down with a whimper at chelsea. I hope im wrong but i feel like a wasp that has been trying to get out a window for 6 hrs on a hot summers day. Put me out my misery
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 25, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted April 25, 2012 Spurs horrendously out of form, and we all know how Rovers like to lend these teams a hand....
colin Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Thnks Rog, Good preview. I hope your lucky touch continues. It will just confirm the agony & despair though.

Seeing as we play Wigan on the Monday isn't there a good chance that we will be relegated before we kick off should Bolton and QPR pick up results That would make for interesting scenes
G Somerset Rover Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Seeing as we play Wigan on the Monday isn't there a good chance that we will be relegated before we kick off should Bolton and QPR pick up results That would make for interesting scenes Not mathematically no. The Wigan game will probably be the one that sends us down.
Backroom Tom Posted April 25, 2012 Backroom Posted April 25, 2012 I thought we could be mathematically down seeing as Bolton and QPR will play 2 games before then (as we were pushed back to Monday night) if they both Win both they will be both more than 6 points above us with us having 2 games left.

Tom, It's not worth trying to work out the options, we're down
Rovers_Dan Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 van der vaart will have a field day. 3-1 spurs
sharpysharps Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm pretty sure that the team will be set up to try and get a 0-0 draw, which won't work quite simply. It'll be 3-0 for the third away game in a row.
Rovermatt Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 No way will we win. Spurs are on a bad run but they'll cruise through this against woeful opponents.
scotty_beam_me_up Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Good review. I suppose we are entering the "crazy results" period but I can't see us getting anything. The big points from the Spuds fan interview are questions 8&9 showing yet again that people outside Blackburn still have sympathy for Kean.
roversR4ever Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Its going to be a very long weekend. Watching results before our game - hoping against all odds that the four teams above us all lose if we are to have the remotest chance - they all need to lose. Then against all odds win against Spurs - forget just getting a point - we need all 3. Under Hughes and Sam there might still have been a chance. Trouble is under slap head we dont know how to grind out results - either luck has to intervene or a spectacular piece of individual skill is required from one or normally two of our players. Last year we had experienced players available who knew how to grind out a result. They are long gone - pushed out the door or simply ingnored. I still hope - I have to - love the club - but deap down all your are left with regarding Rovers is complete despair. Sighs
arealbrfcfan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 It's ok because slaphead says he has a 3 match winning streak planned!- His words! Phew! Also..please, please can we bring Rubén back into the team!!
Backroom Tom Posted April 27, 2012 Backroom Posted April 27, 2012 People sang for Rochina against Liverpool He came on and gave the ball away at almost every opportunity
dubdubdub Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Kaboul and Adebayor fit according to Droopy. Whilst Rochina has talent he doesn't play the game.
Waggy76 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Can't help thinking this will be the game , where at full time we will have 1 foot in the championship. A heavy defeat , by a Spurs team whose confidence will be restored within the first 20min...
bob fleming Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Can't help thinking this will be the game , where at full time we will have 1 foot in the championship... ...next to the other foot.
Waggy76 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 ...next to the other foot. [/quote Maybe Bob , I haven't worked out if it is possible to be relegated this weekend .. I will find the exercise to distressing !!!
