"Despite the result against Tottenham we still retain the belief, we have to improve on aspects from today with the ball and we can certainly improve on the number of chances we've created".....Manager of the Year. Steve Kean

Can't blame the players for a lack of effort? Can I have some of what you are injecting?

I actually thought the defence put in a sterling effort. Midfield worked hard - but ineffective.

Poor tactics were at the heart of the problems - but no yellow cards in a must win match are a sad reflection on the steel within the team (btw - where was Nzonzi today ?)

So angry tonight!!! What a joke of a performance!! I am going to go as far as to say that was the worst performance i have ever seen from a BRFC team.

No fight, no passion, no game plan, no tactics.................just nothing. I feel so embarrassed at the minute!

Far better managers have been asked if they would walk away from the job - Wenger being a key one this season. Why don't they ask Kean? Npbody has challenged his record, tactics or bullshit that comes out of his mouth!

He has taken a top 10 team and relegated them.

I FOR ONE WILL BE GIVING HIM AND VENKY'S LOADS OF STICK ON MONDAY AGAINST WIGAN!!!!!

Can there be any Kean apologists left? I am bereft of feeling after watching such a total and abject lack of effort from the team, the management and the owners. I have stated I won't be renewing my love with the club until something changes (manager first to go, owners thereafter). I sponsor Junior, but he will soon be long gone, as am I. I cannot buy a ST as I don't enjoy the experience any more. My son didn't t even bother to watch today as his games on Xbox are far more entertaining. Sadly Kean is so far out of his depth he genuinely doesn't know what to say, his interview was pathetic. He only needs to learn two words, sorry and goodbye.

What a truly pathetic, disgraceful and gutless performance. You would think we were safe in mid-table and had nothing to play for going off that performance, not a single attempt on goal in 90 mins in a game that you need to get points from is ridiculous.

Rovers going down with a whimper and the players, manager and owners are all to blame.

Givet swapping shirts at half time, Dunn having a laugh and a joke with their physio halfway through the second half and yakubu nonchalantly chewing on a piece of gum as he was being substituted. Yes I despise Venky's and Kean, yet the players have not helped themselves today one bit.

An absolute disgrace to the once proud blue and white shirt and the lowest I've felt in some 25 + years following them.

Yet another tactical masterplan from our fearless leader, just listening to his aftermatch comments on sky, just beggers belief, worst display fro a Rovers team I've ever seen and 64 and have been watching them for nearly 60 years. I thought it couldn't get any worse but clearly with the current owners and management in charge it can.

Several Rovers fans on here thought he was genuine. Check the thread.

He was on a humourless wind up. Can i remind you that several Rovers fans on here thought Kean was genuine 16 months ago, several welcomed the Venkeymob when they trapped up, more than several were glad to see the back of Allardyce, several thought they were doing the right thing going to Pune.

They were all wrong MMLP..... you need to put your faith in your Uncle Drog. ;)

How can the players give their all when they will all know by now that stay up or go down, Pini would love to ship them all to Anzhi and has Mrs Dunce's contract to boot?

Utter utter tosh.

Today is a culmination of 18 months of incompetence and mismanagement from the owners, club hierarchy, and coaching staff.

No shots on goal in a game where a win was a necessity is a travesty.

I didn't hear Kean, but it doesn't surprise me at all. My dad did, and said it was a load of rubbish; and he's a Burnley season ticket holder.

For everyone's sake I hope we are officially down before next Monday. If we are it gives the crowd carte blanche to show their feelings. If not there will still be the "let's stick with the team" line trotted out.

Even living in the USA I have been used to seeing roughly 50% of Rovers games live. Next season I may get one of the Friday night Football League games and that's it.

More Salgado quotes; http://twitter.com/#.../therealsalgado

"frozen out and I didn't want to be a trouble for my teammates getting to Ewood and creating a strange atmosphere.

You know the worst, after 2 and a half amazing years I was ready along my family to stay more years to help the lads out to build a team

A team for the future."

"Such a beautiful club. Dumped"

What a man.

If / when Kean and Venky's leave I'd gladly have him back as manager with Ryan Nelsen.

He's doing his coaching badges this month...

Nelsen and Salgado should have been appointed caretaker managers before Christmas and the poisonous little turd potted. He had his own hidden agenda when getting rid of them - he knew they were the only players capable of taking over from him. That, for me was our only chance of survival.
