[Archived] Vue town centre car park

In town today walking through the Vue car park and noticed the car park attendant slapping lots of fixed penalty notices on the cars parked down there.

Asked the attendant why so may penalty notices, he replied in broken English, that they had parked there outside of business hours. When I told him it was 10.14am he said the Vue cinema doesn't open until 10.30am and so they were receiving their notices.

So please if anyone knows of anyone parking on the Vue cinema car park, next to the railway station, be very careful.

I've never understood the need for all those spaces! Even on Orange Wednesdays it's never full. The spaces nearest the railway car park (perhaps those that run parallel to the railway car park, in front of the bollards) should be given/sold to the council as railway spaces?

As a regular train-user, it's bloody annoying having to get there before 8am to secure a space.
