Mercer
I'm not sure why Paul Hunt could be sacked over this? Unless it was he who leaked the letter which I doubt, then it's not his fault the letter is now in the public domain. He was well within his rights to send a letter like this to Mrs Desai and if they were going to sack him for his views surely they would have done so when they received the letter. Him leaving over the publicity is another thing, but again why would he? This letter is going to grab him massive support from the Rovers fans and although he doesn't agree with the management, the publicity this letter will now receive is not a reason for him to leave. Although where Venky's is concerned I guess logic doesn't apply... IMO, Hunt and Kean cannot remain in place together after this. I flagged a few days ago on here that, IMO, Silk would shortly become CEO. Looks increasingly likely now.

Kelbo
Are they copying the Umbro kit or summat? No, but the contract states all kits must be purchased through Umbro during the duration of mthe contract, thats the deal!!

eire3382
What scares me the most is this is the stuff that we had an idea about. What else is out there. As for Kean, he is going no where, his interviews after last nights match confirms that he feels totally sequire in the job. Unless the rug gets pulled out from under him of course. Backroom Tom Posted May 8, 2012 Backroom Share Posted May 8, 2012 So what's the deal with the Indian side of things, are they producing their own shirts? I may be wrong but if this relates to the Roverstar tournament then kits were provided for the teams entering and they may have the rovers badge on I can't recall fully. Edit - Matty is right there were plenty of people who worked them out from the start, credit to glen for the effort but I'm not sure I recall him being on here when they took over it was later when he became prominent

Looking like it Merce , but the league table does not lie ! It would be strange after the events of last night , if Kean kept his job ! Too many people really would smell a rat . In my opinion the only way Kean can feel secure after last night and in the light of this letter is presumably that he has some of his own money invested in Rovers. Just my opinion of course. I have no way of verifying it.

barry_
Had it confirmed from a source I trust. Clear that Kean n Hunt can't work together. Suprised about the line on SW. how magnanimous of you to give it your seal of approval, especially after trying to muddy the waters with the 'seems dodgy' line. You are nothing but a venky's apologist and your comments make me feel sick.

Well done lads. there's a world of difference between not liking what was happening to the club in general terms, and 'calling it right from the first minute'. Paul
The person who is owed the biggest apology is Glen Mullan. He has had the crooks that own us sussed from very early on yet got lots of stick for it. Took him about ten months others were way ahead.
John
Problem is some members of staff who have left can't speak out because they signed an agreement prohibiting them from doing so (also have received some decent pay offs too).
A cup of beans
It's a "leaked letter"! Paul Hunt even says he is EMAILING in the document! “I have kept quiet for a time now out of utmost respect and I trust that you realise that I am only emailing you now as I want what is only the best for Blackburn Rovers and the owners. I feel like I owe Hunt an apology. I thought he wasnt doing his job, but the leaked email shows otherwise. I can understand why he didnt, but I wish he had come out and said that he was trying to get answers, on the Radio Lancs sham, when he was on with 'PR RICK!' There are so many alarming issues in the email, and still no answers. IMO it shows Venkys true motives to be milk the club and assett strip! They treat EVERYONE with contempt, from the fans to the staff that work for them. The only person they havent shown contempt to is Kean!

rhodie
So apparently the only feedback the owners are getting is from Kean, that explains a lot re Kean travelling every month to Pune he tells them what he wants them to hear.Funny enough the feedback coming back from the owners at the moment are "don`t worry we aren`t selling" ,you have to think then that maybe they are under the impression it`s ok that we are relegated and that nobody is unhappy with Kean.Really worrying is that Hunt hadn`t really spoken or met the owners after being in his position for 6 months. philipl
I guessed there would be a witch hunt instigated by Venky's when this got out. My previous post was designed to give a very clear clue. Paul Hunt is not the instigator of this item going public. Mrs Desai only has herself to blame for copying the email forwards. Surely by now she has realised that Steve Kean's working environment and trusties are not immune from the same malaise she has grown so frustrated by elsewhere at the club?
