garnersfags
It would appear that our most senior executive writes internal memos in the style of the Sun sport section. We already knew Venkys were a mess now it appears the senior team are even less impressive. Depressing. Many of us have expressed an honest view that if the email had not been 'verified' we would be very wary of its authenticity. Anyone who has worked at any level of a large or prominent organisation would question so much of the content, style, professionalism and timing of the email. Simple little elements such as when Hunt expresses concern at not having met the owners then later states how 'warm' their meetings have left him. I'm sure not many deputy CEOs or English execs would use the 'warm' expression. I am aware that to question the validity of the leak will prompt a reaction so I will just say that, as the above post says, if it IS genuine I do not have much faith in his style or ability. I have heard him speak a number of times and everyone else who has heard him must agree the email sounds nothing like his style at all. Finally, I must state that I would like nothing more than for the email to be genuine as it gives me comfort to know that what I have thought for the last 6 - 12 months was accurate. I just take everything with a pinch of salt at the moment.

Uxbridge rover
Something about the way this is all worded sounds bogus to me. I agree, the wording doesn't sound like that of a Senior official at BRFC.
Bobby G
Its been verified. So for people trying to create doubt, be sure that its REAL.

Hughesy
how magnanimous of you to give it your seal of approval, especially after trying to muddy the waters with the 'seems dodgy' line. You are nothing but a venky's apologist and your comments make me feel sick. Lol grow up - it was the way it way it's worded that give me doubts, which now I believe. Is that ok for you Barry?? garnersfags
Nobody will be in any doubts by tomorrow. Why not tell us why you are so sure about this? Who are you afraid will take action against you? As I mentioned earlier I cannot imagine Hunt ever ever using the sentence: '...when I have met the owners, I feel warm and strong and you instil in me the fight to face challenges and win'. I'm prepared to accept the validity but please will someone explain how you are SO 100% sure of authenticity. This is genuinely not an attack on you Philip, or anyone else but I'm sure you can at least drop us lot not ITK a morsel or two.
jim mk2
In any event we all know now that Mrs D pretty well ignored everything in it. Given last night's denouement, I guess she is feeling pretty rotten just now. I doubt she could care less, phlip.
blueboy3333
It's bizarre that people are questioning the authenticity of the email based on its style. It's not that every CEO or deputy in the country has to be an expert in prose ans grammar. Having the title CEO does not imply that someone is good at composition. Backroom Tom Posted May 8, 2012 Backroom Share Posted May 8, 2012 Although I think the stuff about Simon W is unfair (but I suppose upper management can be like that) I do believe Paul Hunt to be on the fans side a fair bit. I had a very brief chat with him in India seconds before meeting Balaji and it was him who told me not to hold anything back and tell him the feeling and worries of the fans. He then didn't sit in on the 'meeting' so clearly didn't want anythig to be managed or filtered. I feel for him a bit, hard position to be in and he has maybe put his family ahead of professional pride at times, I can respect that Edit - it may be a moot point but remember the email is going to someone not based in England and he may be putting it in a style he is used to recieving from them
perthblue02
Ah right so Kamy has been sat on it, fair play to him. Unless there is any criminal activity found then i fear this mob are going nowhere. They might sack Kean, try buy themselves some time, but highly doubt it. No criminal activity? Nike (Umbro) are very pro active on stopping reproductions of their goods, I would think when this is being done on the instructions of the owners of a club they supply they might be interested to take it further. But according to the Premier League this kind of behaviour is ok and Venkys have done nothing wrong.
Paul Mellelieu
I wonder if Hunt uses the rather strange turn of phrase in an attempt to appeal to the Raos's cultural sensibilities.
S60tti_BRFC
Paul Hunt even says he is EMAILING in the document! “I have kept quiet for a time now out of utmost respect and I trust that you realise that I am only emailing you now as I want what is only the best for Blackburn Rovers and the owners. I feel like I owe Hunt an apology. I thought he wasnt doing his job, but the leaked email shows otherwise. I can understand why he didnt, but I wish he had come out and said that he was trying to get answers, on the Radio Lancs sham, when he was on with 'PR RICK!' There are so many alarming issues in the email, and still no answers. IMO it shows Venkys true motives to be milk the club and assett strip! They treat EVERYONE with contempt, from the fans to the staff that work for them. The only person they havent shown contempt to is Kean! And that's because.... (Yes man springs to mind)
Lurid Coat
They treat EVERYONE with contempt, from the fans to the staff that work for them. The only person they havent shown contempt to is Kean! Which is quite absurd, as I don't think I know of any persons in the football world more deserving of contempt than Uncle Fester.

AJW
who benefits most from this being leaked ? who does this damage the most? why do i feel suspicious about the timing of it ? is Hunt looking to carry favour with the fans or is he looking for a way out? It's not that every CEO or deputy in the country has to be an expert in prose ans grammar. Having the title CEO does not imply that someone is good at composition. Have touched upon this already. Once worked with a CEO who couldn't use email or his laptop ! His secretary used to print-off all his emails for him, he'd scrawl answers and she'd input using better English !!! Unbelievably true. rhodie
I saw the letter/e-mail but had no way of confirming whether it was genuine or not. Nick Harris has been able to verify that it is genuine and has gone ahead and published it. It is true that I do have a file full of stuff that I have been passed over the last 8 months or so, but have not released it because until information can be verified it cannot be put into the public domain. Where`s Wikileaks when you need them.?

Restored my faith that there are good respectful and honest journalists out there - along with the scum that just write controversial or populist ###### just to sell papers. I salute Iain Macintosh. 1864roverite
That article Den sums up the thoughts and views of MOST Rovers fans, its only the "deluded few" who failed to see what was happening to the club from different angles. Last night was the same, there were a lot of voices in the JW Upper making their views known and when the crowd crescendoed as one there were still far too many of them sitting on their bums wondering when the winning goal was going to come or wondering when KEANSCUM was going to change the formation/tactics and grant us safety once more. I wonder how many of the silent voices feel right now because I am still gutted about what has happened. BTW did anyone like the nice picture of DESAI OUT in the JW UPPER, my thanks to Preston Blue and his mate for producing them and a big big thanks to every supporter who managed to get their banners into the ground. As for the hen smuggler, big KUDOS mate, whatever the hens name its gonna be a legend. KEANSCUM OUT
