rebelmswar
What does it say? on smart phone, not working as per usual That hes tge lowest paid person in his position in the premier league. Not shocked.
Baz
Point 1 (of 10) is: Promotion to CEO I am aware that that when we met in April, we said we would look at this within the first year. I believe now is the right time to promote me to CEO. The "Deputy" title is confusing to staff, supporters and media. I am confident that I now have the knowledge to be able to deliver strong progress. We have a great club, good team and an excellent range of staff that I feel can take this club forward, given the right support from the owners. Naturally, with extra responsibility I would like extra salary and I would be happy with a relatively modest increase with the promise of a good bonus and increase in salary in the summer that would reflect the improvement in position. I am currently the lowest paid senior club official in the Premier League. But you need to read the rest gav Full text on Facebook.
yoda's brother
Just been told that Hunt has tried to line his own pockets in this letter, not read it, but if thats true the mans a what does that mean? disgrace, regardless of his attempts to out the manager and enforce change. HUNT OUT and take KEAN, VENKYS and AGNEW with you maybe you should read it before commenting on it then. he asked for the top job and the salary to go with it. nothing unusual.i would have done the same. Andy
Interesting. Confirms what Philip was getting tons of stick for reporting months ago. Not that he'll take any pleasure from being right, given the circumstances...
Mercer
Northern Rover@Northern_Rover @carsten86 @he6rt6gr6m not been sacked, but few people close to Venky's saying he will be if we are relegated (meaning Kean). And I don't think it will stop there ! What price for Karen Silk to be soon named as Chief Exec. with the Hunts departing the scene along with Agnew ? I wouldn't be offering long odds. Wouldn't be surprised if this is what Phillip is referring to.

EwoodDawn
IMO, Hunt and Kean cannot remain in place together after this. I flagged a few days ago on here that, IMO, Silk would shortly become CEO. Looks increasingly likely now. Whilst that would give us financial nous at the helm, does she have the personality to provide the link to the fans in a John Willliams vein? We could certainly do with someone capable of rebuilding the badly burned bridges but she's been fairly anonymous to your average fan so far. Does anyone know more about her? PAFELL
Before we get a bit too carried away with the praise for Paul Hunt, we perhaps ought to remind ourselves wasn't this the guy who agreed to, then postponed then moved the goalposts for meetings with the fans? And even as Deputy CEO, surely he knew about and in all probability agreed the ban on banners, the 'frisking' policy, etc? If these meetings were arranged in the first place. He still had to toe the line with venkys who are paying him.
AndyC
After reading that, its now looking more and more likely that something illegal is happening between kean and the venkys. why else would it all be ignored and kean still be in a job unless there was a bigger plan at stake? Backroom DE. Posted May 8, 2012 Backroom Share Posted May 8, 2012 David Conn's (Guardian) take on the letter My link Difficult to take this article seriously when Conn doesn't even seem to realise Hoilett is out of contract in the summer. With increased parachute payments of £48m over four years, clauses which reduce players' wages on relegation, and some coveted performers, notably Junior Hoilett, who could be sold,
perthblue02
Usually find Conn's stuff regarding Rovers to be fairly balanced, just a thought ,could he not be sold before his contract expires, surely somebody might want to secure his services before his contract ends getting an head start on others who may be waiting to make their move when his contract ends?. Good to see that the letter is being reported worldwide
47er
There is a lot more that is going to come out. But how sad that it all comes out after we've been relegated and after Rovers fans have had their reputation besmirched.
philipl
But how sad that it all comes out after we've been relegated and after Rovers fans have had their reputation besmirched. jny
Don't know if this has been reported, but Diouf has tweeted Kean's number, apparently. If it is real, I'd treat it with caution. The last thing we need now is more Kean hero-worship and fan vilification, in the media.

47er
If nothing else the letter confirms the simplicity of those fans who argued that the solution to our problems was to "get behind the team". Moreover it, in contradiction of what was often posted on here, the lads were not playing for him.
