Not just that, but companies in the UK who have had dealt with the Rao family in the past (particularly Desai) are disassociating themselves from the them/the club.

Go on - this sounds interesting. Can you give an example or two (substantiated)?

Here's what I'm starting to think has happened:,

The Rao's : 'Oh Steve, oh course we still trust you, but you have seen how the press have reacted - and the fans as well. you need to get back down to the training ground and continue filling the players with your boundless bullsh, er.... optimism.

Don't worry about the press - we have seen how they work, and most of them only care about United and City and Liverpool and the next decadent western tart to come along - they'll have forgotten it all by next month.'.

Kean : 'Aye, ah reckon that canna be truer.'.

The Rao's : 'And as for the 'fans', well the lower caste have always been antagonistic, their karma has brought them so low on the wheel of life - it will do them good to learn a little humility and acceptance, perhaps as Brahmins we have a duty to teach them this.'.

Kean : 'Aye, religion, eh,', He licks his lips, 'I will be a GOD to them!'.

The Rao's : 'Go and keep your head down and let Paul handle the press, when next season starts it'll be a blank slate, and when you get them back up, the fans will be sooo grateful to you that they will probably make you mayor of Blackburn.'.

Kean : 'Aye!'.

Please someone put me out of this pessimistic mood and tell me he has gone.

I feel sorry for the players. Its bad enough us fans having to see him spouting bs on the tele every now and then. Can you imagine how depressing it is turning up to work everyday and listening to it all day every day.... Need someone in who can pick the team up.

A couple of reliable sources telling me that Venketesh met Alan Curbishley last Sunday at the Royal Kensington Hotel, while Balaji prefers Holloway, but has been told by his reps that him being interested is dependent on the result tomorrow.

We can move to potential new managers once Kean sacking is confirmed (which it isn't at the moment). To get a decent manager almost certain that Venky's will have to change the way they have been working over the last 18 months, no chance any decent manager will accept the Job if Venky's don't change the way they work.

Anyhow, let's get Kean confirmed first and then move on from there.

I'd love Holloway here but even if Blackpool lose why oh why would Holloway want it. It could be seen as a backwards step, a lateral move at best.

Think Holloway made some unflattering comments about Venky's last season, can't see him coming.

Hate to be a party-pooper, but even with a change of manager, the club is in an absolute state and I would still want Venky's to go.

I have to agree it is essential to our clubs that they leave. Unless, they can somehow apologize and start to take a real interest and real advice from proper football people. They would have to do a complete change and that is not going to happen.

Wasn't Paul Hunt's biggest fan, but he seemed to have some idea of what to do.

Given that he had some idea, and seeing as it might be that Kean is on his way (got too excited before to start believing he's gone yet)it seems as if sacking Hunt is looking an increasingly stupid move.

Removing the cancer that is Kean would be a great step, but it's just a step. The illogic move of Venkeys with Hunt indicates that they still haven't really got a clue what's going on!

The most alarming this about the leaked letter was hunt saying publicly i have always backed kean. Just shows most people including pundits may not be allowed to express their real feelings in the public demain.

Ps sorry for stating the obvious

Can't remember the wording but think Hunt said he was asked to back Kean in public.

BTW, Hunt must be a pretty big hush hush keep quiet fee, he certainly knew the problems at the club as soon as he arrived ("Kentaro minefield" were his words)

He was undoubtedly planted on here by the Raos and repeatedly gave himself away by stating he was a "medium level staffer" yet claimed to have visited Ewood many times.

One of those two claims has to be untrue as they directly contradict each other. His presence may have been an attempt to influence opinion.

Whilst he may well have been planted on the Forum, assuming he is who I believe him to be, there is no contradiction between him being a medium level staffer and having been to Ewood a number of times.

Whatever our current circumstances we are still a MUCH bigger club than Blackpool so it would be a step up, the main issue is obviously our nutty owners but if they could deliver certain promises and write them into his contract then who knows?

I'm not holding my breath though.

I'm afraid to say but that smack of arrogance on a dinglesque level.

I like Holloway and the job he's done at Blackpool has been terrific. But i have reservations about him coming to Rovers. Sometimes players and managers are just a great fit with particular clubs. It happens all the time. I just can't see Holloway working his magic at Rovers right now. There is too much negativity around the place and i don't think the playing staff would react to him. I'm sure thats doing him a massive disservice, but it just doesn't feel right.

I think the club needs some discipline and some guidance. If Kean is indeed gone, then an old head needs to come into the club and give the clueless owners some old fashioned guidance. I think they'll be forced to listen too. No manager in his right mind would touch the job as it is. Kean clearly had far too much influence and i suspect that was a result of advice he and JA readily offered to the owners. If he's gone then any new manager would want assurances that a proper structure would be put in place before even considering any offer.

I'd go all out to snare Curbishley. The young and hungry option is too risky at this time. We need someone to steady the ship, get the players fitter and instill some discipline and rules around the place. Kean had many failings, but i believe these were compounded by the fact he could never excerpt any authority on a squad who were used to him being the friendly, approachable coach rather than the dictatorial manager figure. Someone like Curbishly coupled with an improved off field structure could stop or at least slow down the rot.

If indeed Venky's read this board, now is a golden window of opportunity to claw back some support. Do things right from here on in. Get advice from an old school football person. Get the basics right. Remove any agents from decision making and revert back to using them for the purpose they should serve. An agent is selling you something - not the other way around. Manipulate them as they manipulated you. Come out and confirm Kean has gone and appoint a manager who can organise a side from back to front and not the other way around. It'll never happen, but admit your mistakes - fans will appreciate that. Most of all, please listen to the fans - if you had done Rovers would still be riding that PL gravy train.

That is exactly why the crazy lil man would be perfect.

The southern journos are bitter about us little northerners. Once Ferguson defended the knob they had an easy job of making us look like northern Neanderthals. Henry Winter and Martin Blackburn have a sympathetic ear for our cause, the rest are just sour grape West Ham fans

PNE is probably refusing to announce it. I like to imagine him in the corner of his office curled up in the foetal position sobbing like a scolded petulant child, blubbering his refusal to accept that the dream is over.

How I hope you are right, that along with Coco throwing a huge paddy in Pune would absolutely make my day.

step 1 - sack kean

step 2 - appoint new CEO and Board

step 3 - sack Agnew

step 4 - Use the new Board to appoint credable manager

step 5 - back that manager with funds to get us promoted

5 steps Venkys , to increase season ticket sales , increase merchandise sales , gain respect and credability from within football and UK business partners and to re-build bridges with fans

Venky's will tell us we're getting this....

Pep-Guardiola-007.jpg

We'll actually get this...

Spot on. It's the only solution. Hope Venkys realise this.

In any normal organisation, Kean's HK rant and the pursuant legal case against the club would be reason for dismissal for cause.

So what makes Rovers so totally abnormal???

I presume that's not a serious question!

With no administrative structure in place at Ewood - surely we can't let Simon Hunt and Karen Silk appoint a new manager - the appointment will have to be made in Pune.

This is the biggest problem, however.

Not that Kean still walks among us, but that Desai's judggement is impaired.

She's close to him, which is one enormous reason why he hasn't gone yet. He's now burrowed his way into the command structure, like a little parasitic insect.

Desai needs to appoint a local admin structure to run the club so it can fire off Kean and appoint someone who can at least arrest the slide. That's the first thing that needs to happen, but she shows no sign of taking this action. Clearly, the real power at the club is split between her and Kean who allegedly are close personal friends.

The problem is intrinsic to the way Desai operates, breaking the circular nature of the problem will enable us to turn things around, as well as an injection of cash (which Venky's are unable, or unwilling to do).

So really the whole root of the problemn is Venky's and until they sod off, everything else is just window-dressing and we'll continue our freefall towards non-league football.

They'll probably appoint Bradley Orr player manager, he's got the fibbing and arse licking skills down cold and venkys love that, and think that appeases the fans they are so out of touch.

Sack kean & Orr & Myles & Bruno and make very very clear JA has less than zero to do with the club and appoint some qualified non family members to the boardroom and that is the only way i will ever begin to start to come around to venkys being the owners.
