Bunn

Henley Hanley O'Connor Morris

(New winger) Dunn Lowe Marcus Olsson

Goodwillie (New Striker)

Probably mid table/pushing for playoffs atho a lot depends on who is our manager and who we sign.

Ha ha ha ha ha. That team wouldn't push for the play offs in league 2.

If we only have that XI come August we are relegation fodder unless the New Striker is Messi or Ronaldo (the thin one !!)

Think that defence would get ripped to shreds as so inexperienced.

If Kean stays as manager, a result would be avoiding relegation.

Even if we change managers, I think we are looking at at least two years away from the PL.

Well that team included a good manager and a good right winger and striker.....but yea the defence is too experienced.

That team with Kean would finish bottom of the league. The team does look pretty weak on paper especially compared to the team we could have been putting out this season but I feel it could finish in the top half ahead of the likes of Ipswich and Watford. I guess we'll see.

Sorry but that midfield is absolutely shocking.

Lowe is painfully average, Dunn is, well, done and Marcus Ollsson is pitiful. You'd need a cross between Messi/ Roy Race and Billy the Fish on the right wing to salvage anything from the quartet.

I'd also love to know what you've seen from Goodwillie since he's been here.

Lowe is average playing as a defensive midfielder in a team that doesn't close anyone down, pressure them, get stuck in etc. It's hard for him to shine when he is instructed to back off. And he is not playing against premier league midfielders anymore.

Dunn I just put in there, we would need another centre mid, I don't agree he is past it altho he is better playing off a striker. Marcus Olsson has pace and is not the worst player in terms of ability it's just his decision making that is diabolical. Maybe he will be better next season....once more now against championship defenders not premier league ones....not a massive distance but still significant.....no defender likes playing against pace he just needs to improve his all round game.

We should really be looking to play 4-4-2 and therefore Goodwillie in his natural position as a second striker. I didn't see him in the Carling Cup when he was played there against either Leyton Orient, Sheffield Wednesday or both I can't remember, but I heard he played well.....I appreciate it was against league 1 teams but it's similar to the you can only beat what you play against argument.

In the league, particularly against Everton away, but there were other examples which I can't recall, you can tell he works best with a striker beside him as he was involved in short, intricate passes with other players. He looks unfit sure but who doesn't. I seen him a few times against Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish league and was impressed with him and was very pleased that we signed him.....He isn't suited to playing up front on his own (and obviously not on the wing) as like Kalinic he wasn't good at holding the ball up but seemed more likely to turn around and run at goal......I've said this a few times now but it is vitally important that any player gets an extended run in the team for reasons like getting used to teammates, the system that we play, confidence and fitness reasons.

Just read the Glasgow gangster conspiracy theory (again) - seems too in depth for just a load of bull - if you look at what has actually has gone on then maybe it is not that wide of the mark.

I know it's not really in topic but as we seem to have wandered off a bit I'll just throw this out there. I wonder if Rochina could be our Taraabt in the championship? Got all the skill in the world and might get more starts if we sell half our team lol.

Dunn playing off a striker? In a 4-4-2? How's that going to work? Also how is Goodwillie going to turn and run at teams if he can't hold up the ball? Playing as a second striker requires you to be able to hold up the ball, which you just says Goodwillie can't? Marcus Olsson is woeful. He has pace and that's it. He is clueless on the ball, and I have never seem someone run so much yet be so ineffectual.

12 players won't have handed in transfer requests just because they hate Kean, especially right now given the current uncertainty. What do people get out of constantly making ridiculous rumours up seriously?

From everything that has been rumoured this last week, it is my opinion that Anderson/Kean have the Venkys in a corner and have made it impossible for them to get rid of Kean.

This might be because Kentaro have inner knowledge of some dodgy dealings that they can reveal if Venkys sack Kean. IMO its to do with 3rd party ownership of players. If the agents let this information out it would mean fines and points deductions, even further reducing the value of the club and Venkys image.

I think there is a struggle for Venkys to get round this and come to a compromise with Kean and his agent. However they try to do this it is going to cost them big to keep Kean quiet if he leaves.

All my conjecture and opinion...

To be fair both Lowe and Hanley have looked OK at at times last season. You have to consider it was their first full season and they had kean as manager. I think both will develop into decent premiership players

I said I just put Dunn in there and we would need a new centre midfielder......if we weren't playing 4-4-2 he would be useful......he might be past it in the premier league but not in the Championship.....altho still I think he would still be able to do more than just a job in centre mid....not considering injury or fitness issues that would eventually arise.

The main stiker and not Goodwillie will be the one to hold the ball up....and I was saying Goodwillie doesn't hold the ball up and wait for support but rather just runs at goal....you don't need to hold the ball up if you're going to do that, which I remember him doing quite often.

I agree 100% other Olsson is clueless on the ball but I wouldn't be prepared to completely write him off just yet......a lot of young players (I no he is not the youngest in age I am talking more in experience) have poor decision making in the early stages of their careers and maybe with the right guidance he can improve on that....if not just give him specific instructions to run down the wing then get a cross in the box......not that he is especially good at that tho.

I'm not suggesting these are all really good players or anything or even anything like that, just that with a real manager for a change, finishing in the top half could be achievable.

If played up front I reckon he would do well, that is supposed to be his position, way to selfish for midfield, plus lacks the strength etc. but as a second striker he might come good.

Trouble with football is you meet a lot of people and they always know something. Most of it is drivel. Best example of this is a former england international I know who still works in the game. He was adamant that player X would sign for Team X this Jan, nailed on, 100%, banker. A well thought of chap on here rang player X's agent who said 'what he is??', still hasn't signed. That's why most of it all turns out wrong.

It would make my day for one of those to make his debut for Rovers.

I'm not convinced he's ready, but he will have to be, Kean has told him.
