[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Is it not fair to say that he's pretty much on gardening leave anyway?

How do you work that out? The season is finished and usually the next occassion that managers dust off their cliche phrase books is the 1st week in July

Because since a few days after the season ended he hasn't uttered a word to anyone, which isn't exactly normal. Something's happened somewhere.

Unless someone's punched him in the mouth now.

By the way, Kean is not a manager. As such normality cannot be expected.

Don't get your hopes up. Allardyce, Hughes, Souness etc all went off the radar once the season has finished. No surprise in kean doing the same especially if he's been told to keep his head down for a month

Ha, I don't believe Kean is able to keep his head down. The guy is a gobshite of the highest order.

Under normal circumstances he'd be talking about all sorts of rubbish. This may be normal for the other names you've given above, but not for Kean.

He will turn up soon probably talking about the need for more dew on the pitch next season and Rovers getting ready for a Champions league push in two years time.

I have just sat through a hour of keans interviews on the sky player (quiet day).

The man gets more smug with every passing interview and I'm not sure he spoke one word of truth.

It wouldn't be something I would suggest too many do as your blood will be boiling by the end.

He is scum pure and simple anyone who even tries to defend the ass anymore needs to be removed from society and be treated as they too have mental issues (my opinion only and not those shared by BRFCS). Kean himself needs to come in contact with some high voltage wires, most suitably below the waste line.

I think he has already come into contact with something high voltage which is why his brain has been fried and he is always thirsty.

Can we not give him a one way ticket to Pune or send him to the Highlands, (perhaps Invernesshire although I don't really know what they have done to deserve him) and he can regale the sheep and salmon about his time at t'Rovers. All positive of course.

The only thing I made out, from that pathetic interview is that the Venky's are looking to get out of this shambles.

Of course it wouldn't take this long to make a decision on Kean, there is more chance they have been arguing about selling Rovers.

The fact Kean hasn't had his smug git face on the TV since his return suggests something is definetly up.

I wish I could have got that from the interview, I listened to it several times and could only come up with it's status quo until we are dissolved.

The "prick" as in Kean. Winning his power struggle, as in Newsham fired.

Who's next?

Ah. Apologies. I thought you meant Kean had been quoted.

I understand why you would draw those conclusions, But for me, it takes a huge leap of faith for me to think that Kean has got Newsham fired!

Well, except for the fact that Kean seems to be the only one who talks to them and whose voice is heard by them, I think you might be right. If not for Kean or his sidekick Agnew how would they even know Newsham existed?

Why?

Kean clearly has significant influence, far beyond his job title. I don't think it takes a massive leap at all to assume he had a say in this. There's every chance he mentioned it when he went to India.

"Get that wee illegitimate Newsham out and promote Agnew, that'll get Junior to sign a new contract!"

No worries.

I think that Kean and his cronies are weeding out the whole crew. Any existing staff member who tried to get mrs death to fire him will be gone. The influence he has is beyond perturbing, and they are playing a very dangerous game with the club. I dread to think what state it will be in when they're finished.

If that comes to fruition, there'll be nothing left to salvage. :(:o
