[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Quite Bobby and let's not forget the 'Scottish' link. No offense to any readers north of the borders here, but the Scots seem incapable of criticizing one of their own. Just look at Alan 'Donald' Nixon's reports, even today they paint Kean as a victim and man who hasn't been given a chance.

The "plotters" and how Kean "survived"...Makes you think he is a freedom fighter or something.

Ståle Solbakken is rated as one of Scandinavia's best (young) managers. He is a very good manager, despite the fact that he failed with Cologne. The reason for that is that he got rid of the usual german man-marking system and applied a zone-marking system instead which was too much a change for the Germans apparently.

A fatal mistake. The germans get everything right. Just look at their cars.

Apologies if this has been posted but wow just wow

What a tool

the quote at the end calling andy cryer negative to me shows a man who is on the verge of a meltdown. problem is he'll still be in charge during that process.

i have a feeling he'll still be around next season. if we play burnley at ewood early in the season then it will be hard for him to stand on that touchline the entire game.

When asked by the Lancashire Telegraph why the experienced players were allowed to leave this season, a lot of them for nothing, Kean replied the club was left with ‘little choice’.

He said the high wage bill in place from the Walker Trust’s days had turned the club into a ‘selling one’ and it was something they were left with sorting out.

That's so that the club could sustain itself in the Premier League and thanks to the efforts of John Williams and co, that's exactly what happened so why get rid of them Kean?

“For the last 10 years it has always been around that mark,” he said. “What we’ve been as a club over the past 10 years is a club that has to sell.

“When your wages are so high as a percentage of turnover you have to be a selling club. And if you look back over the last 10 years we are the club that has sold the most. We have tried to balance the books by continually selling players.

And despite that in ten years we haven't been relegated. Yet under you and the Rao's we were almost relegated last season, and we have been relegated this season. Ten years of being a selling club in the premier league vs 18 months being almost relegated then relegated. Explain that.

“There wasn’t any percentage target put on myself to reduce it to and we wanted to still be in the Premier division. But we are not and we will now make changes and a plan to get us back up.

You aren't in any way qualified to make a plan, you have just destroyed a club in 18 months.

“With Keith Andrews we had no choice – Keith didn’t want to play for the club any more. Samba put a transfer request in. Emerton even if he had stayed I don’t think he would have played very much because his family had moved back to Australia.

Ask yourself why all these players wanted to leave.

“I know you’ve been negative Andy – but I would rather be positive. I’m positive. You’ve been negative all season.”

So it's Andy Cryers fault now. Make your mind up Kean, is it the fans or Andy Cryer's fault we've been relegated. Course everyone knows it's your fault but you get a bonus point for being a consistent clown.

When it was said that large sections of Ewood Park were also concerned about the club’s future, Kean replied: “That’s your opinion.”

So there we have it, Steve Kean doesn't believe that large sections of Ewood Park were concerned about the club's future.

Journo's were laughing at him on Twitter after the press conference. Martin Blackburn tweeted to Andy Cryer... "Now now Andy, don't be negative remember!"

How on earth did Andy Cryer not laugh in his face at these comments?

I was just about to post a link to that Cocker. Arrogant B'stard.

Cryer has not been negative Kean, he has been rightly concerned and with bloody good reason. If anything in my opinion, way too supportive for way too long, but presumably without much choice in the matter.

Large sections of the crowd are VERY concerned and have been ever since YOU arrived. Cryer is correct again, you total maniac.

I will join in the street party when this guy is finally removed. Nothing lasts forever. Fingers crossed it is way before next season starts, then we can look forward to supporting the club again and put this disgraceful period in the club's proud history firmly behind us.

Just shows what a mixed up, ###### up, nation we have become.

Very sad, especially for all those who gave their lives during the two great wars for the pillocks that inherit our world today.

Good.

Kean has caused a considerable amount of pain to all of us and we have been paying for the privilege of receiving that pain.

At the same time Kean has been paid around £1,000,000. So by my maths he deserves to receive 1,000,000 times as much pain.
