Amo Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 It's all about the 'active bids' for me. Until I know we've made the activest of active bids, my fears won't be abated.

booth Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Bolton get relegated, Owen Coyle's first sentence includes... "... Thoughts are with the fans." Steve Kean's first sentence includes... "We've felt we've done a very good job tonight..." (no mention of the fans in any of it) Someone asked why Rovers fans treated Kean differently to Martinez and Coyle. Well Martinez kept Wigan up and the other evidence is above.
Mattyblue Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Lost 8 out of our last 9 games, scoring 4 goals in the process and barely competitve in any of them, yet not once has he apologised or taken any of the blame. S*ithouse.

S*ithouse. It's an utter disgrace that there has been no apology whatsoever from players or the so called management. I'm no fan of Coyle but at least he apologised to the Bolton fans for going down, we're still waiting on Stevie Boy. If the Rovers players are on the side of Kean, hence why they are not apologising then they need to GTFO as well!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Bet Kean is given a new contract by the end of the month. Not joking.
USABlue Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Not quite the same as in December. He's just literally lost them a ton of revenue. Don't mean to be picky but HE has not lost them anything. THEY have done it to themselves, failure to remove the scumbag has cost them dear. I believe and I believe strongly the lowlife WILL be allowed to carry on leading this fine club of ours to ruin. I wonder if they had a corporate executive in their chicken business who was as incompetent as Kean is in the football business would they still keep him? It is so bad that I wonder if we have not hurt their pride so much they intend to bury our club as a way of retribution. If he stays on it is one of the biggest and most diabolical decisions ever taken in the game of football.
USABlue Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 hughton wouldnt come here in a million years, berg, no thanks, not enough experience, we need someone who has been around the block a few times, i know some of you would choke on your dinner at this suggestion but i wouldnt mind mick macarthy at the club, he tells it like it is and get teams out of this league without spending big money in the current state of things I'd welcome McCarthy with open arms. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he's as honest as anyone in football is ever going to be and he cares. He genuinely has the dignity that some would try to say Kean has. I'd have no problem with Mick over this plonker. I've always like his honesty and his teams put in a full shift. I think he was hard done by at Wolves the similarities between him, Wolves, Conner and what has gone on here are remarkable Well I've just read that Mail article and I am sick to me stomach. I was actually starting to feel a bit optimistic with talk of a consortium, removing currybreath as manager, but now? I will find it hard to give a (Please don't use that word again) about us if he is still here I really will. Que our first loss against the Dingles in modern history with him here. I just can't take anymore of this shyte and them clucking Indians
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 We dare you to return with a new contract Teflon...we the fans dare you to arrive back with a sh!t eating grin and a two fingered salute to all at this club!!!
den Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Cryer, post game interview with Kean: I did ask can you really change what people think about you and the club and the reply was "I don't know what people think".
Majiball Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Oh aye Coco, I'm sure that you and the "shyster who cannot be named" are already working on plans to ensure you get a good proportion of the money you gobshyte. Neo and Agent Kean will be sat there plotting away as always. I've been wondering how many of the kids Neo managed to sign up during his days as our advisor at Brockhall? He could be getting his claws on our clubs money for quite sometime yet.

Thinking in Venky's terms, he's lost them a ton of money. They won't see that it's them that have messed up by appointing him in the first place. They probably believe it's just bad luck.
Puffsan Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 how to remove kean: 1. find out when his plane is returning from india. 2. with the olympics coming up the the airforce got their missile defense ready, and hopefully they are trigger happy. 3. call the airforce and tell them there is a terrorist onboard (its actually not a lie, he is terrorising rovers football club) 4. sit back, relax and enjoy the fireworks. 5. accept some civilian casualties (every wars got em)
Lurid Coat Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 It's all about the 'active bids' for me. Until I know we've made the activest of active bids, my fears won't be abated. Aye, I love them active bids, bids that are very much alive. Looking forward to a positive summer in which the club tries to get bodies in by making extremely active bids! Exciting times ahead, gentlemen!
47er Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Why Cant people get that ONLY your name should be put in the comment box for the petition , great response so far though, id like to know how its GUARANTEED to be read by Mrs.Desai? Then it shouldn't be called "Comments Box" then should it?
RoyRover Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Cryer, post game interview with Kean: I did ask can you really change what people think about you and the club and the reply was "I don't know what people think". When a stadium full of people are chanting "Kean Out", I think he has a fair idea of what people think of him. What he really meant was "I don't care what people think." Then it shouldn't be called "Comments Box" then should it? Brilliant.
arbitro Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I wonder if he has a 'relegation clause' in his contract. I don't know the answer to this but if he has when would the drop in money kick in? And if he has would it not be cheaper to get rid of him on say 50% of his current salary?
forumquizmaster Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I wonder if he has a 'relegation clause' in his contract. I don't know the answer to this but if he has when would the drop in money kick in? And if he has would it not be cheaper to get rid of him on say 50% of his current salary? I wondered that too. Although I suppose it works both ways in the sense that it would make it even cheaper to keep him than bring someone else in.
perthblue02 Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Neo and Agent Kean will be sat there plotting away as always. I've been wondering how many of the kids Neo managed to sign up during his days as our advisor at Brockhall? He could be getting his claws on our clubs money for quite sometime yet. Why did he need to sign them up then? son of Neo is there all the time what other reason is he at the club for?
owenrilla Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I've been wondering how many of the kids Neo managed to sign up during his days as our advisor at Brockhall? He could be getting his claws on our clubs money for quite sometime yet. I came across this twitter account last week - @SEM_NW - which suggests that O'Connell, Edwards, O'Sullivan, Modou Cham and probably Jordan Preston and Bradley Bauress are all now SEM clients, if they weren't already. I notice there is also a prominent mention of a certain Mr Orr. I wasn't aware of him being linked to SEM but given his recent comments, perhaps it wouldn't be too surprising.
booth Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 So he hasn't been fired then yet? When is this meeting he's supposed to be having with Thicky D and the Dicks?
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 So he hasn't been fired then yet? When is this meeting he's supposed to be having with Thicky D and the Dicks? Tomorrow. If he makes the trip then I can't see him being sacked.
BPF Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I hate to say it but I feel as though if Kean was going to be fired, it would have happened by now.
Rover down South Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I can't understand why Venky's didn't have a "contract termination" clause inserted into Keans new contract (or did they?) which would obviously save them the cost of sacking him. My fear if this isn't the case, is he will be given the oppurtunity to continue as manager for the start of the new campaign. If I were Venkys I would be replacing Kean right now with a man who has had experience of this division, someone who is proven. In the prem I believe we were a small fish in a big pond, but now in the championship, we are one of the big fish (if we do the right things this summer). With the current managerial set up, then yes we will struggle. We need to rebuild fast and Kean isn't the man to do this, no one will jump aboard a sinking ship. The championship is a tough division with a lot of fight, Keans namby pamby approach will see us struggle, thats why Sven failed, you need proper grit and determination. We need someone with like Steve Bruce to fire us back up to the prem. If Venkys do want to stay, they have to make amends for this awful mess. That starts with getting rid of Kean, whatever the cost. From then on, they will need to put their hands in their pocket and get the right man. Remember though, if you pay for glass, don't expect diamonds.
lukey Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Why would they fly him all the way over to India to fire him?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I stand by my guess that he will get a new contract, but Indian business culture is about respect so a face-to-face sacking is more likely than a phone sacking in my opinion.
