[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Kean has presented his vision to the owners today, they now have a simple choice whether to accept it or not. They will decide overnight.

No idea what he presented but he is a clever operator and wouldn't put it past him suggesting Agnew as CEO, him moving to DOF and bring a manager in underneath him. This is just me speculating, we should know by midday tomorrow.

But it is simple decision they sack him or back whatever vision he has presented to them.

Wonder what his ideas where for getting season ticket sales up...

So in summary: a bunch of half wits who know nothing about running a football club, are going to make a monumental decision impacting greatly on our future, based on a presentation by a dignity-free, slimy, nefarious drunkard who's also a base liar and proven failure? Fantastic.

How the (Please don't use that word again) did we end up here?!?

Kean is a symptom of a greater malaise. It would be pleasant to see him given the boot but let's not lose sight of the fact that it is utterly BIZARRE that he has got this far already.

The real problem will remain until these people and all of their lackeys leave the club.

Absolutely

Plus 100++

If Kean goes it cannot be enough to satisfy us, they allowed us to get relegated and ignored our pain.

If Kean goes we must make it absolutely clear that we are coming after Venkys next regardless

My vision is this...

A wet Tuesday evening in late August 2012. It's Carling Cup second round night. Blackburn Director of Football Steve Kean takes a pre-match conference, speaking for manager Eric Black as he has done all season. "We want to go all the way in this competition. It's a good opportunity for our young squad to get experience against top premier league opposition. We have an average age of 19 which I think is the lowest in Europe playing this evening at this time. We put in a real hard working team performance in the first round at home to Fleetwood Town and definately deserved the finish the 90 mins 0-0. Nick Blackman then showed his composure to slot home the winning penalty in the shootout. We deserve this tie and the entire club should be proud of what we are trying to achieve here. Going down there will be a great day out for everyone involved with the club and we need to ensure we don't pay them too much respect" Meanwhile West Bromwich Albion manager Chris Hughton is expected to rest key players Peter Odemwingie and Keith Andrews for the visit of struggling championship side Blackburn Rovers. Andrews has been a key figure scoring twice from midfield in the clubs opening two premier league games and Hughton wants him to be fresh for the trip to Stamford Bridge to play the European Champions on Saturday."

I'm going to top myself

At the risk of tipping myself over the edge (currently setting up my daily Prozac infusion as I'm writing this) we are still left with the same incompetent, arrogant, impetuous owners who put the gimp in charge in the first place, even if they do sack him.

I remember being slightly chuffed when they got rid of Allardyce because I assumed they had someone brilliant lined up (ah, halcyon days when we didn't know everything they said and did was ######), this time around all bets are off as to who they would bring in.

It might not feel like it, but things can always get worse.

I was recently sacked from the Samaritans.

That there's even a debate or something to sleep on in Pune should tell us everything. The decision will purely be based on whatever speel he's given them today rather than recent/past misdemeanour's. They clearly don't see the video as a factor as there wouldn't be any point considering what he's got to say otherwise.

Given their track record of making decisions, I think he's staying.

Even the "sleeping" on it could be a facade and they are all out for a birthday jolly-up.

I hope I'm wrong.

the only vision kean has is prefixed by 'di' and followed by '3'

if he's presented himself as director of football then he knows the game's up and he can't carry on forever. Ultimately if he stays as manager, he has to be binned.

So if he gets promoted to director fo football (what credentials/ achievements suppoort this appointment?) he gets taken out of teh firing line, becomes unsackable because he's no longer responsible for results, and is directly involved in agreeing the financial aspects of transfers.

Joy.

A slightly different take on it

Daniel Hewitt ‏ @DanielHewittITV

Meanwhile at Blackburn talks to continue tomorrow between owners & Steve Kean in India. Not looking as secure for Kean as previously thought

ITV's finger is about as far away from football's pulse as Venky's is! I only hope they cut to adverts in the Euro's this time to spare me having to watch Carroll's attempts at goal.

My vision is this...

."

My vision is worse.

It is October 2013 and as the bulldozers move in Steve Kean explains his decision to demolish the Jack Walker statue. 'I explained to the owner that I felt there was too much negativity about with the statue being in such a prominent position. We need to build up our positivity as we challenge for promotion from Division 1. These are exciting times, we have an excellent young squad. They may have gone through consecutive relegations but they are hungry for success. We have been unlucky so far this season and I feel we should be in second place not second from bottom. The removal of the statue should help build a positive atmosphere as we all look forwards not backwards.

Besides as we do not open the Blackburn end on matchdays the statue is never seen. It is a much better atmosphere in the ground now that all the fans are in the Venky's Chicken Stand lower tier.

I have had a lot of feedback from fans who have said that they are fedup with the negativity in the press and from the small percentage of protesters who turn up outside the ground on matchdays. They can all see what we are trying to achieve and everyone I meet as I walk round Blackburn tell me they agree with knocking down the statue.'

When asked what the club would do with the statue he confirmed it would be melted down to prevent it becoming a shrine for the thousands of disgruntled Rovers fans who have deserted the club since their relegation from the Premier league in May 2012.

Kean is a slimy character and he'll promise promotion and the continued development of young players. What's clear from that leaked video is that kean was spouting off last year about a top ten finish and a cup win hence the reason why the owners were spouting out the same nonsense. They believe what kean says. We all know he's talking nonsense but we all understand football, the owners don't. Plus, kean probably knows too much.

I'm in two minds about this sacking. It would see the demise of kean but they'd get another yes man in and it would show that perhaps they want to give things another go rather than selling. Keeping kean would actually suggest they are possibly going to sit tight, avoid any unnecessary expense, and sell the club to the highest bidder.

My worry is that is was only last week that Hunt was sacked, why sack him (presumably for being anti-Kean) then sack Kean the next week?

Very worrying.

Hopefully they will realised that their ONLY hope of getting anything back on the investment is to sack Kean and appoint someone to give it a good go of getting straight back up.

If the Venkys fall for Keans 'Vision' then they are officially the weakest most gullible set of business people on the planet,

although I'm really hoping the delay is the venkys trying to convince kean to take move to India and run their academy's and if thats not accepted they wiil just give him the chop, all wishfully thinking on my part.

We all know what type of guy Kean is and my bet is that if things had gone swimmingly well, he would have been letting his 'mates' in the UK know and there would be leaks of the positive stuff by now. We know the clown likes winding us up.

I suspect he's in trouble over there !

So steves done his power point presentation to the owners. It will have been based around Getting back into the PL at the first attempt for sod all investment.

Venkys will go for it, with half an eye on his contract. They will give him a season to get us back up, if he fails, let his contract expire costing venkys nothing.

Win win in their eyes.
