[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Anyone read the Sameul piece on Jack Straw? Gutter journalism of the highestest order, what a numpty, got taken in like the rest of the national media then decides to blame a politician for backing the take over, prick.

But more importantly, we need the idiots inPune to sack this knob, the longer it goes on the more worried I get.

Perth please don't do that again you had me going for a minute there. It doesn't bear thinking about Kean to stay on as DOF we'll be signing players like calamity Dann, Ribeiro, Goodwillie etc... to let him loose with any amount of money would be like letting the kiddy loose in the sweet shop with hundred of pounds we'd have all 2nd rate 3 rd rate garbage in world football doesn't bear thinking about  .

Heard a rumour months ago that Kean got 1% of the club as part of his improved contract. Might explain why he hasn't been sacked yet. Think he will still be manager at start of next season, which puts the fear of God into me. I am in despair, our club is going down the pan, next stop League One.

So, that'd mean the manager owns a percentage of the club? Is that even legal?

Whatever happened to that 1.3% (or whatever it was) Venky's didn't get hold of when the sale went through? I recall seeing in the document that they had a certain amount of time to respond, and that the buying price would remain the same during that time.

Well I know someone who is Rovers share holder. Her dad or grandad left her the shares he had held onto and refused to sell. There must be quite a few others like her out there. She has no interest in the club at all but holds the shares because she won't sell what was bequeathed to her.

1% of BRFC is worth ######-all. The company does not even pay dividends (it has massively negative reserves and never will) so that size of shareholding is barely worth the paper it's written on. It only has value if there's a takeover and the price is higher than the £1 BRFC is now worth after Wankys screwed up.

So Venky's don't COMPLETELY own the club, but own the majority.

A certain amount of those shares must have been dished out for a reason. Surely those that still have a share have the right to vote on what goes on in the club, even if it is a minority!

The shares holders have no say unfortunately as the combined amount is less than 1%.... These shares are the remaining ones owned by people who wouldn't sell to Jack Walker for whatever reason.

Venky's own 99.99% of the club. Only around 7,000 shares valued at £1,254 remain in private hands. Venky's paid £23M for their shares. I would imagine most Rovers fans holding shares (all owned before Jack bought the club) held on to them for sentimental reasons. Plus they will have paid £1 per share and Venky's offered only 17.7p per share.

Is it not Venkys LONDON limited.

Yep Warning: contains the infamous Page 5.

Yes it is but essentially it is still the Venky's

Really? So they, as the holding company, are responsible for the debts? It's not a case of just folding V London and walking away then?

There I am trying to work it all out, then you spot that!

So BRFC is 100% owned by Venkys Hatcheries of India now Kendal? "London" is now obsolete?

To answer for Kendal.. The Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic Plc is 99.9% owned Venkys London Ltd which is in turn 100% owned by venketeshwara hacheries PTY Limited.

And yeah they got her/him a bit mixed up on the directorship details for Venkys London.. :)

Not read that document in a while, Bob.

Every time, I read it, I feel like I've been kicked in the balls! :(

Something that leapt out at me was- Venkys link to Elena Dementieva.

She retired in 2010.

Did she have to retire after contracting 'Bird-Flu', Chicken Pox, Incurable Salmonella or Terminal Diarrhea, - from her Venkys Hamper ? Sorry! :P

Hey, Maybe the Venkys Hamper caused the mysterious virus that Simon had ? (I've forgot his last name.. Its been that long ;) )

I wish I had . Sorry, no, I mean Dementia! (Mild.. Just so I can forget the last few seasons! ):P
