riverside returns Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Barry, the difference being Robinson was credited with, does not overtly claim to be responsible. Ie not a potty mouthed Kean who is saying it and bigging himself up.
EWOODACE1 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 another circus caused by our great owners. either sack him or just say he's your man as usual. also is kamy northen rover
Gav Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I think it's no coincidence that the telegraph has run the Hoilett story regarding him leaving on the day the 'manager' is meeting the owners. Well done Andy Cryer and the telegraph, indirectly trying to push him over the edge! Let's hope it works.
roverandout Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 is anyone else like me? couldnt really give a toss anymore, this whole saga has bored me to tears, im starting to lose interest
EWOODACE1 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 just switched ssn on and all i caught was kean is given vote of confidence. are they talking about in the past or just announced
gumboots Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 is anyone else like me? couldnt really give a toss anymore, this whole saga has bored me to tears, im starting to lose interest No because the moment you hear he's gone will be on a par with where were you when Kennedy was shot or where were you when you heard Elvis had died etc. It will be somthing that you tell your kids about.
martypellowe Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Don't think Robinson is a likely replacement, SSN just reported he's appointed an assistant and head coach Neophox you better have a source or you're getting banned
windymiller7 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 another circus caused by our great owners. either sack him or just say he's your man as usual. also is kamy northen rover Yes he is. Just praying for something concrete (new footwear for Coco hopefully!)
Gav Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 is anyone else like me? couldnt really give a toss anymore, this whole saga has bored me to tears, im starting to lose interest Its all a bleedin farce, does anyone have any confidence that the idiots in Pune will get a half decent replacement? I certainly don't, but I'd love to see the smug grin wiped off Keans face.
roverandout Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 watching this thread is like a car crash, you want to turn away and get on with your life but u cant help but stand/sit around and watch
neophox Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Source? Hallucinations...no but some sources on twitter indicates that because its very quiet and Steve Kean hasn't been able to be reached....maybe gone underearth at Venkys or something...
sambo Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Why say he's been sacked when he hasn't based on a Twitter hunch FFS.
he6rt6gr6m Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Over-active agent? To Leicester To Leeds To Forest To Rovers Blimey! Good work man!
Jonnolad Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 i've said from the start venkys have done horribly, although i truly believe they have been well intentioned but pretty inept and buffoonish. kean should never even have come close to managing a premier league squad. that being said i won't stand for crude comments. my question though is who is best positioned at this point from a managerial perspective to meet the enormous challenge that it will take to bring rovers back to the premiership. half the team will be gone, there will be limited funds and a huge fan base to win back. would take a special manager to meet this challenge. First of all there would be just wild celebrations if Kean got the boot. I agree about Venkys, I don't think there was anything but the best intentions on their part. I personally think they were so badly advised that should be looking at legal action, but that's just a personal opinion. I certainly don't think it's too late for Venkys to build bridges, and getting rid of Kean would be the undoubted massive step towards that. Second, I don't think they should be looking for a manager, that's where they've been going wrong. They need to understand that the manager of a football club isn't like the manager of a business or a factory. They need to be looking for a good CEO - the chairman as he used to be. I'd break the bank if I was them to bring back John Williams, if that was at all possible. If not, someone else well respected in the game. John Williams wasn't a Rovers fan when he came, but he left one. Let that person choose the manager, and let that person come over to India for the monthly meetings. Leave the football manager to do his thing.
trueblueroversiloveu Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 every effing day after work i pop on to see if the clowns been sacked and thought maybe today is the day but no. if kamy says hes gone today im off down ewood for a party, wasnt old enough to celebtrate 95 but ill be partying like it is 95 if cocos pathetic attempt at impersonating a football manger comes to an end

EwoodDawn Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 When Sam Allerdyce was sacked didn't the news emerge at around tea time? Come on media guys, waiting patiently is bad for Rovers fans' health.
