[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

My information is exactly that, I was told that they are looking for a new manager to see what options were available before sacking Kean and an announcement would be made tomorrow, I do think they have found someone to take on the job, depends how good he is and how he feels he can work with the owners!!

So you're under the impression. They've found (or are in the process) of finding someone who's up for the job. And they're expecting to say Au Revoir tomorrow?

They are totally reliant on 'advisers' this is the real problem. They have no clue who to turn to that knows football and can help them out of this mess. Sack Kean, appoint a CEO with experience in running a football club and give that person the charge of appointing a new manager. Stop listening to ###### Agents!

@Northern_Rover: Can't go into details but Kean has not been sacked. Yet. I hope tomorrow is not like today.

I don't know what to read into this?

Probably Kean getting moved (something he or associates know maybe giving him a job for as long as he wishes within Venky's)to another position within Venkeansem FC, maybe football director in charge of transfers?

That will go well with his ill fitting suits with abnormally large pockets

Ah, **** this for a laugh. Really don't care anymore and I'm losing faith at all the gullibles hanging off twitter.

I'll come back tomorrow.

Gullibility or just hope? I think that's what we are all clinging to right now. Has hope been banned now?

You're not wrong there. I was literally dancing around at 13.30. Only to be slouched in my chair a few minutes later. I could do without days like this

Draining!

We have suffered.

Today has been absolute torture! Made all the worse by the Twitter Show ponys and Journalists playing Indian Whispers!

I'm off for a beer.

Kean has not been sacked. After 3-hr meeting, remains #rovers manager. For now at least. Sounds vague? Best I've got. He flies back Fri a.m.

We are down and out

Exactly.Who would be doing the CEO/recruitment job from this end.? Theres nobody here.If they do appoint a new guy it will be run out of India which is even scarier.Maybe they told Kean they are getting out of Rovers and they cant therefore discuss the future with him at the moment but will have more to tell him in a few days etc etc.New buyer gets the sh1t job of telling him and paying the no doubt huge pay off instead of the Venks whilst they trouser the premier league cash and parachute money.Bet the Coco/Aggers hotline was boiling today.

Just confused my self now! would i be happy with this outcome?? Feck me its a 'yes''yes' 'yes'!!!!! Step in Mr Wild//Illyas /anyone.

Maybe a case of Rovers going to see if anyone is willing to come and if they are then sack Kean? Let's face it Rovers are damaged goods right now, a lot of managers will probably avoid the club with a bargepole.

Think they'll soon find through their channels that there's basically nobody of repute willing to work for them, therefore Kean will retain his job by default.

It's strange, though. He's massively damaging their brand IMO, by association they look like buffoons.

Saying that, it's fairly obvious they are quite stupid people, despite their supposed business acumen (starting to think they pretty much lucked into their father's business and have been riding on that wave without much need for change). Still, I didn't expect them to be this stupid. Their advisers must be banging their heads against the walls of Venky's HQ.

Either that or the club is totally corrupt. I don't think there's any other explanation - stupidity on an almost unprecedented level or corruption, take your pick. Leaves us in a terrible situation either way.

My dream scenario out of this unprecedented mess: A certain Scotsman stays up drinking till the wee hours tomorrow morning. Mrs D phones him early and asks him to join them for a breakfast meeting in a public place. Said Scotsman attends, obviously still inebriated from his drinkies session that only finished a few hours previously. Mrs D and co find this so offensive, it's contract terminated time.

I know full well it's foolishly fanciful but I can't contemplate the thought that he might get away with not just tactical humiliation, relegation and the Paul Hunt letter but also that video clip.
