[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Sven - washed-up, yesterday's man - no thanks

Robinson - maybe

McCarthy - almost yesterday's man - no thanks

Davies - you are joking

Clark - maybe

Hoddle - too far north for him

Freedman - maybe

Surprised that you haven't mentioned Uncle Claudio !? - again, no thanks

At least McCarthy has experience in getting promoted, beggars can't be choosers and all that.

I can just picture the headlines - Ewood fans drove me to the brink of suicide.

Rovers fan : "Kean drove me to the brink of murder"

Anyway, I'm getting carried away here. I'm going to wait for the official detailed club statement "Kean gone".

That'll probably take about three weeks, they don't want to hurt his feelings or anything.

Give me a combination of Paul Dickov with Salgado :rover:

arte et labore !

A Blackburn boardroom though is the first most important step after getting rid of the scottish imposter.

Neill Warnock, Dave Jones, Steve Bruce, Roy Keane, Karl Robinson, Graeme Souness?

I dont really expect Venkys to come up with a decent replacement for Steve Kean, I dont know whom to expect really...

I think what they should do, is first of all, making the search for good chairman their number 1 priority. THEN let him and the club do the search for a new manager.

I surely dont hope Venkys pick up their expensive flashing phones and start phoning around themselves....Gosh!!

Tugay would be my choice!!

Romantic sentiment wont work.

No experience to tackle something like this and hasn't got the 'player knowledge' of the type of players we will need to be looking at.

The only way I'd take him is with a souness type

Personally I'd go for lee Clarke I think

it's a 10 out of 10 on the rumour scale! We all know your secretly celebrating in front of the PC at home, just like the rest of us. So come on join in!

Personally I'm going to enjoy this as joy from Rovers has been short lived recently. Anyway by celebrating now I get to maximize the joy time as god knows who they'll appoint to replace him? My monies on Shabby Singh.

Perhaps Kean has made the mistake of pushing his considerable luck with the owners. If they've offered him an out and he's refused, preferring instead to continue playing fantasy football, there is every reason to think they've taken a dim view. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Let's hope that he is a goner.

The thing about lee Clark is that he is honestly as thick as they come...

Although he was at the same school as me, would be cool to say that!

Not against Lee Clarke, but at Huddersfield, he did more drawing than Tony Hart!

Anyway, this thread is about Kean. Let us wallow in his demise.

Mercerman, who is your Choice for next manager???

Chaddy, the profile would be for a youngish, hungry manager with a degree of success already and who has shown that he can work within a tightish budget, playing the right sort of football and, most importantly, has a winning mentality.

If this was 3 years ago, would have snapped up Paul Lambert in an instant. He personifies what I would be looking for.
