A cup of beans
Not sure we're a sideways step. Brockhall is fantastic, a lot better than Blackpool's facilities. Bigger stadium, bigger profile, bigger fanbase, bigger club generally = more potential. I'd say we still have better players even if a lot of the good ones go, it's just that we've been managed by a complete tit for 18 months who would make Messi look average. Also lots of talent in the youth team. Obviously it all depends on the club building some trust with the fans again to get us back to Ewood. If they sack Kean that would be a start and would suggest that the lack of ST renewals is a big worry for them. Brilliant post.

The base is there blueboy the problem we have is owners that like to do that trick of pulling the table cloth off the table without trying to disrupt what you can see on the table. Thing is last time they pulled the table cloth, everything came off with it.

A cup of beans
There's also the small matter of a Championship Play-off final tomorrow that could also tip over that little apple cart resting on a cloud. I actually want West Ham to win (and I hate them). The only chance of us getting Holloway, Blackpool derbys next season and we would all be spared 'wall to wall' Blackpool coverage on Radio Lancashire. Holloway would also get Rovers some good coverage and press... and man... do we need that!

Stupid that some Lady with Mrs coco's finger up her backside who likes polluting things and doesnt know or care about football or Blackburn Rovers Best intrests is the main decision maker. edit - To Bucky and Donner where have the plus gone? True Blue & White
You're a proven loser, a bulls****r, a drink driver and ya couldn't keep ya trap shut in that Chinese bar; and for that reason, Steve Kean... YOU'RE FIRED!
blueboy3333
You're probably right. Just putting the point out that there that only a day or two ago Rovers were generally regarded around here as being a club that no manager worth their salt would touch with a barge pole.Amazing how things have changed around here on the turn of a coin. At least it's nicer. Thats cos we're all passionate about our club, so we're not very objective! I think Rovers would still be a great job for a lot of managers as long as the owners pull their fingers out. Thanks to Jack the infrastructure is second to none. Also the media don't give a toss about us so not much pressure from them on any potential new boss.,,and expectations are low, a play-off place next year and the manager would be up there with King Kenny! I'm trying to see the positives!
Hughesy
I hate to be fickle but if Venky's sack Kean, appoint a proper manager who the fans can unite behind and give him some funds then I would be happy to give them some more time. But the situation even though dire and bleak is still recoverable in the long-term providing Venky's are willing to put in the hard graft and are willing to change. Sack Kean appoint a proper manager and that’s a good starting point on the long road to recovery. I think most will think exactly like that....I sure do, we just need to stay clear of SEM clients. RoyRover
If Kean is no longer an employee of the club, there is absolutely no way he'll give anybody the opportunity of milking any satisfaction from that fact. He'll go to ground and emerge a year from now, hoping that nobody notices. Without Agnew to fight his battles for him, he'd not stand a chance against any kind of engaged interviewer. I know it's highly unlikely, but just the very thought of him having to swallow some major humble pie and go through some major embarrassment would be thrilling to watch after all he has done to the club. I imagine him attempting another heart felt, tear jerking sit down with Sky Sports, as the dog runs around kitchen and Kean paints a picture of his vast achievements at Rovers, how he was never given a chance by the fans and how he has left the club in much better state in a final skin crawling attempt to drum up some sympathy and wollow in self pity, only for the reporter to destroy him with his wins to games ratio and his ridiculous, self satisfied statements. I live in hope.
47er
I know of Brett Lee the cricketer but didn't know of his Venky connection. Thanks to those who explained. IF Coco is not to be manager they MUST send him down the road knapsack on back. The scheming piece of crap will go out of his was to mess his replacement up. Agree totally with that. he would,by his mere presence, poison the milk.
NotPotter
notpotter, how would he unsettle his family? you do realise blackpool and blackburn are both in lancashire? Yes, I did state that he now lives in the North West. Just because he wouldn't have the stress of relocating doesn't mean there would be other factors that could lead to family problems, it's the same as any other job. Blackpool appear to be a lot more settled from top to bottom than Rovers are at the moment, so regardless of the outcome tomorrow I don't think any one in their right mind would depart from a stable position to go to a club that is steeped in uncertainty, particularly at boardroom level, not to mention there's a possibility of having to travel to India for meetings with the owners. Jock
we need an experienced manager now, ince, kean didnt work, so forget clark, freedman, neither of whom have achieved anything yet, we need a no-nonsence manager like mccarthy or curbishley, holloway would be great too, i feel like dancing but i dont want to be premature. I was invited to a function at ' Premature Ejaculation Society' When i asked what was the dress-code? They replied 'just come in your pants'. 47er
I'm starting to come round to Balaji (cautiously). Its clear he is the one that tried hardest to sort out the terrible mess. He's wanted Kean out since before Wigan Away -Only his stubborn sister prevented it. It's clear Rovers means more to him than it does the rest of the owners. IF he delivers on his promises (His last interview) then he MAYBE he deserves some credit. On the other side, he's allegedly the one who blocked the sale to the Qataris. if true I'll never forgive him.
