mark1875 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Things are progressing as always with the group and there is not a door we have not banged on, finally after months of trying the Premier League tonight rung us and invited us to a full no holds barred meeting with senior premier league officials in which the Action Group will set the agenda. Now is the time for all supporters, regardless of previous opinions to stand together and get our town its football club back.

Paul Mellelieu Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Are they meeting us to wave 'goodbye'? (BTW good luck.)
Baz Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Hope I'm not right, but you'll get nowt from them. Ask the Pompey fans who got a similar meeting. Maybe you could contact them to see what to expect? Link.
mark1875 Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 When's is it scheduled for Mark? The person who took the call tonight has been given some prospective dates and we need to get together as a committee in the next 48-72 hours or so and grab the earliest possible opportunity. They did say it was unfortunate they would not be in our area for a while but we said this needs to happen as quick as possible and told them we would travel to them. As soon as we have the date confirmed we will release it.

Clitherover Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Is the meeting with Scudamore as per the Portsmouth one which Baz linked?, he's already said he couldn't give a toss or something along those lines.
Jackson Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Is it being chaired by the parasite Agnewlingus cwuntilicious?
Sparky Marky Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 What's the point of speaking to the premier league when we ain't in it anymore. Should this meeting not have taken place months ago? And the fact theyve agreed to meet you now we've gone suggests they will simply pay lip service, nod a bit and sympathise etc.....but it sounds like a waste of time. Good luck in whatever you're trying to achieve.
den Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Good luck. Anyone who's trying to improve things gets my support. Let 'em know exactly what's going on Mark.
jim mk2 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Threaten them with legal action action over their "fit and proper person's test". That might make them sit up.
Backroom Tom Posted May 10, 2012 Backroom Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks for keep trying and that goes for anyone doing what they can no matter how futile

I think it speaks volumes that they only contacted you AFTER we've been relegated. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it...
Mr Maureen Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 If you do go and meet them chuck a petrol bomb from me.
