ChrisyG Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 To be honest he just seemed a bit thick And full of bull sh*t.

he6rt6gr6m Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Seems like he was trying to paint over the problems in England to the Indians. I think what's happening to Blackburn Rovers has the potential to affect the business they conduct in India, and his plan was to remain calm and blasé about it to make it sound like it's not that big of a deal. He's said some incredible stuff. The fact that "nobody is to blame" for relegation is damning in itself, and I hope that people see this for what it is in India - a well ran club 8th in the Premier League's all-time table, taken over by an Indian group and relegated in their first full season at the club. If they think that is a coincidence... well...
bypass06 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Someone double check,..but i'm sure he said Hunt wanted to go. 5 minutes 30 http://www.timesnow.tv/Venkys-deny-selling-Blackburn/videoshow/4401844.cms
martonrover Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I loved how he referred to us as "the company". That sums up their lack of interest and understanding. A shocking way to describe a proud football club.
Brfcrule1 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Kamy or anyone can you send me a link to the video I have tried the above link and it says unable to load video thanks.
Amo Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Thankfully it didn't load for me. I take it it was Venkatesh? They always seem to wheel him out when they need to address the great unwashed.
RoyRover Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Venky's have said that Paul Hunt's sacking had nothing to do with the leaked email and it was a cost cutting measure. That clears that up then.
trueblueroversiloveu Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Same here can't view. are they really this deluded? I hope it's just a front as said above otherwise these numbskulls are gonna take us to a league i've never even heard of and still be talking sh!te about "the company"
67splitscreen Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 'twitter' the story has been pulled, along with the video it would seem.

We have to make sure it damn well does affect their business in India and anywhere else they have their grubby fingers
perthblue02 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 'twitter' the story has been pulled, along with the video it would seem. Perhaps a new version of it will appear on Skyem sports news after the chief script writer in Barnet has altered it
mark1875 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 The audio is here for those who missed it. http://yourlisten.com/channel/content/126752/Venkys_Speak_out?rn=lgd6di2mr8xs
T.J.Newton Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 i thought venkatesh was the more sensible looking 1, this guy needs to cut back on the prozac hes totaly unnatached from reality.
Backroom Tom Posted May 10, 2012 Backroom Posted May 10, 2012 Venketesh isn't interested at all about football I don't think, he's more charity and religion minded, balaji is the dreamer and mrs d the 'brains' and business woman Scary
footypix Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 The guy (Times of India) interviewed on Radio 5 just now quoted Venky as saying "if players want to leave, then they are welcome to do so".....how many? somewhere between 8 & 12 players to leave / sold i would expect to leave..
Kelbo Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Venketesh isn't interested at all about football I don't think, he's more charity and religion minded, balaji is the dreamer and mrs d the 'brains' and business woman Scary Well if Desai is the brains, the other two must be totally illiterate!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Every passing days this club falls deeper into a world of total sh!t....where will this all end?
John Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 This is their first "comment" since mid November is it not? IMO, they do not like anything which tarnishes their brand - they have been savaged in the UK media recently and this weekend could really expose them depending on what is published in the Indian media. It could blow over because naturally media will quieten down but if it keeps going like this the situation is perhaps not sustainable - problem is that their cost cutting was getting pretty vicious recently and now with relegation is likely to get much, much worse.

Amo Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Venkatesh always sounds so enthused when discussing Rovers (old):
riverside returns Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 That video needs sending back to Venkatesh Rao and the same questions being asked of him now. At about 1min he says, 'the fans have a right to complain after all, if the fans are not there then we are not there.' A clue as to what to do about the situation. Question about Kean and results, answer was all we are concerned with are the results. Now, quite clearly Kean has not delivered results, what is his take on it now?
